looks great man, im looking at this same one. how is the shipping ? do they show up in like a big rig and a fork lift or ? It would be nice if it was possible to just have the delivery company set it right on my barn floor. i just had a slab poured and re-enforced with rebar. Its only about 4 1/2 " thick . But i know some of them require 5" thick. Did they unload it on your drive way if they delivered it or could they have loaded it into your garage ? i dont have a tractor or any heavy piece of equipment to move something like that so im just trying to get an idea of what the whole process is when it arrives. I have a really tall roof on the barn here (16ft) so they should'nt have any issue driving a fork lift in here. We have had lowes even with their big fork lifts on the back of their trucks pull into the barn, unload and 180 out of there no problem. Thanks !

4'x4'x6" is typically for a lift this size, people have a tendency to overdo it. But always follow manufacturers reccomendations. It's a pretty basic but crucial details and If the manufacturer doesn't have it listed, that's not a good sign and I'd look for a different manufacturer

I am in the process of installing this exact lift and I am very happy with it except for the very poor quality anchors that were sent with it. Aplus is actually a chinese company using US warehouse addresses to ship from. If you research their product origin, you will find a shipment history from Asian countries. These lifts are fine for the home enthusiast wanting to put a lift in their barn or garage. However, these are not ALI certified for use in the US. The certification is for European Countries which have laxer electrical regulations that the US.

@@jimgrooms3498 Ali certification means that the lift should be able to support 1.5x it’s rated weight capacity without major deflection or failure. I have seen the same test on bendpak and other lifts with no failure. This is just a cheap China lift.

I’m from England, living in the United States, and have never heard it called a hoist in either location. In my experience, a hoist is something that directly lifts using a cable, rope, or chain.

Forrest, I grew up running around on a job site with my father. I soaked up so much being on the job with him. Any chance I have to have my kids in the shop with me so I can teach them, I am going to take advantage of that. I want my kids to grow up and have the ability to do things. There was no point where I was worried for his safety in this video. It is this point of view that is pushing out a generation of unskilled people.

You're probably right. This is the first and only lift I have ever installed. But I did follow the directions step by step and also worked hand in hand with the manufacturer that gave me the lift as well as the a structural engineer. I am sure if you do it every day you know a lot of tips and tricks that no one could possibly know unless they do it daily. That being said, the lift went together flawlessly and has worked flawlessly since its been up, so I have no regrets. All that being said, if you have any tips for future viewers, feel free to leave them below so you can be helpful. Thanks for watching.
