So I just installed these in my 2013 focus without the anti flicker device, and it works fine. Is there any reason for me to add the anti flicker module?

+exia989 This may depend on the individual vehicle. If you are not experiencing any issues with flickering, it should not cause any issues to not install the Anti-Flicker Module.

I have the Spec-D projector headlights with regular halogen bulbs. Would the LED bulbs work in the projector housing?

Hey Aaron! While the SL1 is a great upgrade for both projector and reflector-style headlights, we haven't yet confirmed fitment in that particular housing. Has there been any issues with melting inside the housing due to heat from the led or the module? I want LED bulbs but it's always been on my mind. Plus, I have a 17 focus st, would there need to be any adjusting to the ECU due to it coming stock with halogen bulbs?

Hi Ryan! Great questions. Our LED bulbs run far cooler than stock halogen bulbs, and also feature a micro fan for additional cooling. Heat won't be an issue! And you won't need to adjust anything with your computer when installing LED headlight bulbs. Certain vehicles, such as modern Chrysler/Dodges, are more sensitive to bulb changes due to their CANBUS systems, but your Focus isn't one of them.

What about a 2012 Sedan Base (S)?

Having so much trouble finding one with high beam bulb replacement . Too bad you didn't show reinstalling high beam bulb .. I was having trouble putting it back in and finally just pushed down hard on silver colored tabs on headlight assembly body .. I don't know if I broke it if I reinstalled it right way . Feels a lil loose . As you know it's got two silver colored tabs to maybe slide in ? but then it also has the middle tab and I thought just push in ..

I tried the LED installation on my Focus. Not only were the connectors different sizes but the heatsink was too large for the OEM fasteners. I couldn't even plug the dust cap back in place. Looks like I'll be re-using the halogen bulbs.

@@diodedynamics No I purchased from a company on eBay. Had the right parts number but they didn't work for my application. Thanks for reaching out.

So on the main connector to the headlight I broke the clip so I had to electrical tape it together temporarily could this be why all my lights are on but one side my daytime running isn’t on?

Hmm. So when you drive over something those "boxes" will make sounds etc from jumping aroung in the headlight? Seems like a to cheap solution form e.

Hello! With all of those components inside of the housing, it's a pretty tight fit. If you are concerned with any movement though, you can certainly mount some of those components before reinstalling your dust-caps. I’m REALLY interested in obtaining some SL1’s for my ‘13 F. Focus. Question; Can I plug and play these into my headlamps even though I currently have HID ? I wanna replace em with ease. Any hiccups you think I might face?

Hello! Unfortunately, if you have factory HIDs, there is no way to replace them with the SL1. That being said, if the OEM bulb was a halogen style, the SL1 would just be a plug and play replacement - very easy to install! :)

My focus mk3 has a different connector, it's a square one which holds the bulb in, the buld don't twist out

Hello, I installed LED headlights on my 2013 Focus Ti. Low beams, high beams, and DRLs are all LED, but the low beams are not working on either side. The driver side low beam turns on for about 2 seconds when I start the car, but then shuts off and will not turn back on. Any tips on possible solutions?

Did you get a solution for this problem? I have 13 hatchback. When I put in led low beam. They will come on,but.... when I start the engine the led will work for 2 seconds the go off and I get a low beam fault. I also put on an anti flicker module. Still not working. Any suggestions?

@@paulff3 Great question! While each installation differs slightly, zip-ties or 3M adhesive are generally the best approach!

¡Hola! El cambio de halógeno a LED en la ubicación del faro no generará errores de bombilla. Sin embargo, cambiar de halógeno a LED en las luces traseras, las señales de giro, las luces de freno y otras ubicaciones puede generar estos errores. Para solucionar esto, deberá instalar resistencias.

Just tried to install some led lights , but I think my car couldn’t handle the power , when the car was off with the key on they would stay on but when I would turn the car on completely they would turn off .. what you do think it’s happening..?

Hi there! The SL1 actually operates at far lower temperatures than factory incandescent bulbs, so heat isn't a concern! And the black box is our Anti-Flicker Module.

@@robinhood2112, what bulbs are you running exactly? These Ford Focuses do not generally need much in addition to the bulb. In rare cases, our Anti-Flicker modules would help, but that is not common.

Installed these on my focus and now my lights are all messed up... low beams coming on instead of high beams and high beam coming on for the low beam fog lights won’t come on at all?!?! What even could be the problem

Does that dongle shake inside the headlight housing? I imagine that might cause damage within the housing.

Hello Michael - the LED driver should not cause any issues longterm. If you would like, you can always use some 3M adhesive and / or zip ties to help secure it out of the way, however it is not 100% necessary.

The high beam on these Focuses will be an H1 bulb size, which we do not offer in LED (just HID) - sorry!

@@randomdot908 Unfortunately, we don't offer the SL1 in the H1 size required for the high beams. Sorry about that! When properly installed, the SL1's LEDs should be facing to the left and right of the vehicle.

H11 led with canbus DOES NOT WORK, polarity is correct😢

@@diodedynamics I Understood thank you. My goal Ford Focus 2015 Titanium High Beam.

Yeah, these are NOT going in on the drivers side. Finessing the bulb did nothing but break the tab. Thanks for nothing. I don't recommend these for the Focus. It shouldn't be a battle royal to get frinkin bulbs into a car. BTW, just how many times did it take to get that slick move down. I doubt just once.
