Do all chains need this we have a chain we use at work that’s is rusty and old

If the chain is used for overhead lifting, corrosion is a reason to remove it from service. The answer is yes. All chains used for overhead lifting need this. If your chain is being used for overhead lifting, it must be removed from service and replaced.
