Yea i caught that right away too! Super cool to see. Been watching Richard Friend and he holds his where it looks like it's upside down so he can throw lines. It's mesmerizing to watch inkers do their craft - never gets old. Thanks for the vid dude!

Glad to see you two collaborating together, your pencils always look amazing, but with Jimmy's inks, it's next level stuff, can't wait to see y'all's finished product on the shelf. Great work, by BOTH of you. It's so good to see an inker using the Hunt 102 AND real brush, instead of markers. I ink digitally and catch some grief from so-called "traditional" inker. Then I find out they're using MARKERS! Phooey. LOL Thanks to Zach AND Jimmy. Great work, guys!

I really miss this old intro

I think I'd enjoy inking. I've got the temperament for it. I'm a graphic artist, and I always enjoy when I can do production get inside another designer's files. It's relaxing to put away the blank page and collaborate on something. Might give that a go. Thanks.

I've recently started using parallel pens to ink. So far i really enjoy them and recently discovered they blend colors very well similar to chameleons

I really like sketching. I use the pencil that comes with the 6 set of Microns, and I shade with a 12 set of staedtlers. I ink with Microns and a faber castell brush pen. Inking is fun, its just I prefer sketching. You just get a lot more creative control when you get to do the sketch lines!

Adnan A not if you use "waterproof" ink like the one Jimmy uses. There are different brands out there that work great, he uses Koh-i-noor because it is dark, consistent and waterproof-won't bleed, the dip pen nib is a Speedball crow quill 102. Good luck.

What's the best ink to use on Strathmoore Bristol Board? I just bought Kaimei Black Manga Ink, and tried it with A G-Nib, What I got was A line that felt rough, and not as smooth as I would get with say, A micron pen, or A brush pen. Also, am I suppose to shake the ink before I use it?

How do your parents feel about you becoming a comic book artist? Are they on board? Have you heard the 'do it after college' line? I'm surprised you don't use an interactive display and stick to the old school ways, do you have a display?

Not possible if you're just going to watch bro. You have to take it seriously if you wanna reach his level, draw at least 8 hours a day or more (if you have more free time) anatomy, proportion, perspective, etc. Best of luck.

William Adams yes, inkers use that shade of blue when printing a scanned image because after the finished inked art is copied only the rich dark lines reproduce, any left over or non-inked blue lines will not show up. It doesn't seem as necessary when inking highly detailed and tightly finished art like that of Zach, but it really becomes necessary when the penciler leaves a lot of the loose, rough sketch lines on the drawing. Hope that made sense.

how do you get blue sketch on manuscript paper? do you use a big printer?
