    Ill be honest I really wasn't expecting too much from the changes, but with just the essential mods (and especially faster hdt-smp) I now get an increase of ~25 frames, almost a consistant 60 fps in all areas of skyrim, I am grateful for your video.

I already had some Mods you mentioned and which should increase the performance (fe. eFPS and USSEP) and yes, it was better, but sometimes it was stuttering for a few seconds. Now I added some other mods you mentioned, f.e. recursion monitor, skyrim prio, skyrim landscape/water fixes, lightened skyrim and cleaned skyrim textures and OMG, no stuttering anymore. O.O Awesome! If after all this you are still experiencing stuttering and big frame drops when looking at certain directions, I would really recommend Cathedral Assets Optimizer. First backup your mods, then Open Cathedral Assets Optimizer and: 1) unselect Extract BSA 2) click Open Directory and select the root directory where your mods are installed so every mod will be affected. 3) on the texture tab select Compress Textures and Generate Mip Maps and click Run. 4) profit If still stuttery follow same procedure but in step 3 before clicking run, activate downsizing -> by ratio and leave 2 on height and width. This process can take a long time but will massively improve your performance and reduce frame fluctuation by a lot, especially if using a lot of 4k and 8k textures + enb + dyndolod. You will lose some quality of course but it will be barely noticeable, and the frames you will get back will be 100% worth. You can even backup your entire mod collection and try, if you don't like the results just roll back the changes by overwriting mods with backup. Sorry for the wall of text.

    The FPS increases are 0, but now all the textures of weapons and armor have turned into potatoes , I did not make a backup copy since there were 80gb mods I do not advise anyone to do this, only if you choose a certain mod for texture compression, BUT IN NO CASE DO NOT CHOOSE ALL MODS

  • @dpriliac

    @dpriliac

    Жыл бұрын

    @@ruslantamashin6359 Optimizing and compressing your textures should definitely not had such an impact on your textures. If they turned into potatoes after you downsized if because you are using 2k textures or less to start with, so this is not for you. This is for people with 4k+ textures that also use enb and dyndolod, it will not be a magical solution for very low end PCs. Sorry that you did not backup, you should always do so when modifying your mods.

    Thumbs up! This is actual great video for a change. Even though it has been over a year, and the title is a bit obscure. I wonder if there's an actual good video for vanilla users that explains absolutely essential (legitimately) )mods that are mandatory for vanilla users. As in meant only for fixing problems with the game and optimizing it. Without any unnecessary actual non-essentials like qol and other bloat. Most users and beginners only care about functionality, and perhaps graphics improvement in order to play the actual game as it was designed with exception of design flaws (such as glitches that devs have overlooked/ignored). I have not even played the game yet which has recently been installed and dormant, but getting closer to compiling a legitimate list for vanilla with only mandatory improvements on functionality and basic graphics.

    *Hey Gents, I came here as a updater for the Skyrim Upscaler mod* For people that have been paying attention to the Mods updates a features, at first glance it looks awesome to have. You're getting 30 - 40 FPS Boost without sacrificing Graphics Quality, but trust me looks can be deceiving. As of right now and likely for a couple more weeks/months to come Upscaler does not work properly. The following results are possible if installed (regardless of correctly or incorrectly) Immediate CTD upon launch of the game Graphics Drivers Crash and CTD (Rare occurrence since your GPU stops it) Launch of the game, yet blackscreen or complete missing textures for the world. As what was stated above, It is not a good time to install this mod. So please. Spare yourself the confusion like many others before you and don't install it until further notice. *DON'T INSTALL IT RIGHT NOW*

When I get to waterfalls between riverwood and whiterun my fps drops from 60 to +-30. It also happens in rain or snow storms (rain is worse than snow). Thanks for the video, I'm gonna test those. The essentials I alrady had, but let's see if the extras are going to help. The unofficial patch is sorta a love hate thing for me: the author Arthmoor is an asshole for one, for two many of the changes that mod implements are not exactly “fixes” but things that Arthmoor wanted to be different, they don’t all objectively fix issues within the game. But it hasn’t done anything outrageously bad to my game, at least nothing I’ve noticed. The only reason I’ve installed it is because so many other mod authors have it as a requirement to install their mods. If I weren’t for that, I wouldn’t use it as I don’t use any of his other mods

    I have stable (locked) 60 fps outdoors (RTX 3060 + i5 10400 16gb RAM 3600 mHz SSD 960 gb) with a lot of trees + grass + Silent Horizons ENB + some visual effects + weather mod + some additional NPC +cosmetic mods (for NPC too). But I still have some fps drops from 65 to 50 or even 40 while I'm looking at some directions. It happens in certain areas like when I'm standing in the fields near Whiterun and looking at the Khajiit camp or stables 🤔 In Fallout 4 I have installed heavier mods, and I have more fps there without any drops. So I think may be it's an engine problems, which can't be solved with mods? I don't think it's my pc problem 🤔

    I was missing a few of these. I installed eFPS, Nvidia Reflex, Rec Monitor, and object remover. I already had most of the others which I feel are mandatory. It gave me 10 extra fps and seems very smooth and crisp. Using Rudy ENB on Ultra settings, with everything in 4k res. I have over 300 mods installed and it runs around 80 - 120fps. Very nice. After installing these I did have one new bug I have never seen before. I loaded into the Ragged Flagon and it had no walls. All you could see was night sky and stars. I restarted the game and loaded the same save and the problem was gone. I'm just wondering if it was Nvidia reflex support. Or something else that I'm missing entirely. Not a big deal since the restarting the game fixed it, because just reloading didn't. Could be just skyrim though, no idea. Long as it's not constant, I dont really mind. Edit: It was an ELFX Shadows bug that got a patch. The problem is no more.

    @IKnowHowItEnds

    @@masqueradet Yes, I would say that is the average. If it drops it recovers after I take a few steps in game. But this is outside the cities. I get higher frames in the cities and I have Jk's Skyrim all in one installed. I was getting 160fps in Whiterun just today. Cities and interiors run like a dream. I drop to around 55fps on rare occasions in areas with heavy trees and grass. Because I have complex grass for ENB. It has it's own shadows and it moves realistically. Riften forest area hovers around 60-120 fps. I have a G-Sync monitor the Acer Predator 170hz, 1440p so I don't notice frame drops at all. There might be a slight visual difference because you notice 60fps more than you do if it's over 80 frames. But nothing jarring that takes you out of the beauty or immersion. I have over 4000 animations and poses installed with CBPC next gen bodies and physics too and my processor doesn't even feel it. I have so many NPC mods that add NPCs with AI. So much going on in the cities.. I even have enemy faction raids on the cities and towns. Bandits, vampires, etc.. This PC is fantastic. This is the one I bought. www.x-kom.pl/p/735984-desktop-g4m3r-hero-i7-11700f-32gb-2tb-rtx3060ti.html I didnt feel like building one myself this time around.

    @@IKnowHowItEnds Sounds good man, then I must clearly be doing something wrong. Because I don't get nearly as much fps while running an RTX 3080. Whiterun is kind enough to give me a measly 45 fps at the gate when entering. Curious as to how the game handles your modlist vs mine.

    This is weird. I use default graphics card on my pc. I get like 100+ frames playing tf2, so I think I have a good pc. I play Skyrim and it drops to 20 and below. I have a lot of mods… but that’s really weird. I run my game 1024 x 768. I’m thinking it’s because of how simplistic tf2 is… maybe because of the simplistic cartoony style it doesn’t have to render too many pixels? If I replace my textures and cell shade it or something will it fix itself? Currently I’m trying everything because I have a little time before spending $600 on a good graphics card. It’s kind of maddening how it’s the same kind of 3d environment but for some reason it’s so different. I’m gonna post an update on anything I found… hopefully I’ll help people with the same problem.

If you use an ENB your best bet is to tweak the water section, especially increasing the caustics.
