My personal experience from being on TRT is initially there is a libido boost but wears off over time. My experience. What is noticeable and has continued is the energy level increase. No more tiredness or naps during the day. I am now experimenting with Mesterolone in an attempt to boost DHT which seems to be the driver of libido and free testosterone. Time will tell. Anyway after getting on TRT everything went into storage, terminated my lease and booked a one way ticket out of the country into a land of paradise overseas. Oh, I retired too. lol Now I have the energy to really enjoy life. I enjoyed it before but "really" enjoy it now.

Good video, good information. I was treated for prostate cancer in the summer 2020. It looks to be a success but now my testosterone level is low and the doctors are afraid to give we testosterone treatment. They are afraid that the prostate cancer will flare up again. But I really feel bad and would like to have a treatment but on the other hand I don’t want to have prostate cancer. What is your opinion? I’m am a 66 years old man.

I am 30 and have noticed my libido absolutely crash during this pandemic period. Apart from a few weeks in the summer, I have had no physical contact with women from March until present (November). Is this just my body's way of saving me from going insane? The idea of my sex drive never coming back terrifies me.

Depression can cause that and many people suffered from undiagnosed depression. Also, you may have become infected without showing symptoms last year. Have an anti-body test for Covid. Many younger people were asymptomatic and there are many long term possible impacts including less lung capacity decreased appetite due to sense of smell deduction, mental acuity loss, memory loss etc

I had my testosterone checked at the beginning of the year...it came back at 810 ( I still think that 8 should be a 5). Insurance will cover only 1 test per year. I take thyroid (hypo) medication, antidepressants, mood stabilizer, Type 2 diabetes meds (Metformin) BP and cholesterol meds (quite a laundry list, huh) 5'9" and weigh about 235. My diet is crap and my energy level is in the same mode. Exercise? What's that? My next appt with PCP is September 11th. I'm going to insist on a shot or something to see if I can start feel half way human (I'm 64, 65 in Feb., 2021). However, if anyone reading this has some suggestions until my appointment in Sept., I'd appreciate the feedback.

Any pharmacy, with a prescription. In some countries, it can be over the counter but in the US, where everything related to medications is extremely expensive it will be tightly controlled. I know in Russia for example the same German-made topical cream that is sold from US pharmacies for $50 is $2. I am 72 next month and fit, active but had some of the symptoms Dr Steinberg mentioned and was encouraged by my 36yo GF to get tested by a clinic and my testosterone level was very low. mostly motivation and mental focus but also what I assumed was age, lower sex drive despite having a beautiful fir woman as my long time partner. I got the cream as prescribed. I am an American but live in Russia so I was amazed by how little it cost and of course the doctor visit was free. My results were immediate but little gain was seen after the national but keeping up with is gradually over a month or more looking back here was definitely a positive change in all the symptoms so don't slack off when it seems to not have the same impact as the first week. It really was working but more gradual. I have been on it 2 years and it costs me $24 a year. I returned to the gym and have a lot more drive to get my work done, I have 4 businesses here and it was getting to the point I was putting things off, and not wanting to start new projects. The one activity that I never lagged in was dancing. We still went to clubs and I had always been the active one, not wishing to take a break which really was my only form of aerobic exercise.2 hours without leaving the dance floor is a fun way of getting one's heart rate up and keeping it us for the duration. My girl prefers long-distance swimming as her method of staying in great shape, she prefers open ocean but in the winter goes to a special lap pool (narrow, shallow, and 100 meters long) and puts in several miles a day. Even at 19 I could not do that but I could run 10 miles. She also does gymnastics to keep in shape since she is an actor and in her 5th year as the lead female role in a popular police drama playing a younger woman. Go get tested and if the bioavailable levels are low, you will feel the difference, as will your partner. She will thank you. It is important to be tested because there are other causes of the same symptoms and you don't want to misdiagnose the symptom cause.
