To disassemble a transformer/ferrite core: Just put it im boiling water for just a few seconds up to maybe half a minute.. Everything comes apart without having to use any force, and there is no part of the transformer that could take any damage from being submerged in boiling water. It's definitely the quickest and simplestway i have ever tried, and with the lowest possible risk of chipping/breaking the ferrite core.

That's an impressive piece of engineering redesigning, little bit beyond me, I still prefer to go to this electronic surplus store and rummaged through the power supplies until I find one that meets my specifications. I don't want to take anything away from you, but I think if I tried this, it would probably end up in smoke. I like to hear from other people that tried it and see if they made out okay.

We try to fix it by replacing all components but still power supply is not working, my friends saying that transformer may be defective. Can u suggest to fix it. Any other Ac Dc 5v cannot fix already i have tried.only to fix it or replace new unit.

Simply just use one with higher currect capacity.Or calculate and make a new one using larger core, bobbin, wire diameter, different number of turns, recalculate overcurrent protection.Different output diodes and capacitors is the most easiest thing.

You can simply reduce the value of R14 resistor ....and if you want strong courant flyback is not good. Use push-pull designe only with transistos no need fo ic ...not stable voltage but higher courant and good efficiency

Yeah I'll just build my own. My current project needs to take 215 nominal amperage and buck it down to 200 regulated amps to feed a 200 amp panel for a fully DC house. No AC will be on the property, no transformers, no inverters, all DC. DC Heat, DC air conditioner, DC refrigerator, DC washer and dryer, DC TV, all these things exist and are on the market. 3 socket receptacles will be available throughout the property. 12v, 20v, (a small few of the wall plates will have USB A 3.0, while most others will be equipped with USB 4 PD [all USB 4 use type C socket]). No need to rectify as source and supply are DC, no need to invert as all appliances will use DC. That being said there will be two inverters. One for just in case, and one for an EE lab. But not to run the o-scope, it's also already DC. Why? To troll you duh. Nobody's building that house lol.

Use the length of the unwraped wire. If originaly for 12V there is 12cm wire, you need 1cm per volt (for example ofcourse) . So you mark the wire and wrap back to the mark and if necessary wrap some more to the right output contact then cut the excess wire. It is better for a wire to be a bit longer and to adjust correct voltage by resistors then cut it to short.
