I didn’t need to increase my flat terrain speed. What this adjustment did was enable my bike to coast downhill faster instead of being held to 20mph. This has greatly increased my enjoyment of the bike. Thank you!!

I noticed that myself. These bikes are so heavy that they create resistance even downhill. I think making sure your tires are inflated fully and making sure your brakes are adjusted correctly (not grinding against the rotors) should probably make a difference

Thank you for this. My wife and I just got our Rad City bikes yesterday and on our first ride, she was way ahead and out of sight. I followed these instructions and sped mine up and slowed hers down. On our second ride today, she was glad I was able to keep up. Shhh!

@@dobby240 Unfortunately she has now learned about this and made me set hers to the full speed, too. It worked for a little while. We did find adjusting the speed helpful for when riding on some crowded city trails where we didn't want the bike to be trying to go 20 mph. By setting the maximum speed way down, it made for a more pleasant ride on trails posted as 10 mph max. Our bikes were set for about 12-13 mph which was in line with how most of the bike traffic was moving.

Hey! I have referred back to your videos on several occasions while navigating the world of electric scooter and e bikes over the past year or so. I own a Schwinn Stealth 1000 that is now almost a completely different vehicle and it's unlike anything I've seen. Everything has been upgraded, I'm running lithium, overvolting the 36v 1000w system with 48, 56, when file charged, and had nothing but amazing reduce l results. Part week I damaged the driveshaft on a pothol and wound up with no other choice than to change to another drive system because the direct drive assemblies are discontinued along with most of the other important parts, but the result is absolutely unbelievable. Every major scooter and e bike shop said there was no work around and that unless i found a used motor assembly I was not going to be able to fix it. I'll be posting a video in a day or tell when everything is up and running and you'll see just this wrong they all were. I'll disclose everything in the demo video and talk about some of the other mods i pulled off. I posted an into just to let people see it while i had it apart this past weekend. It reaches 30+ mph effortlessly and that was with the direct drive. What i saw today when i assembled the chain drive system i pieced together and turned the throttle was scary. It'll be ready to test drive tomorrow and I'm definitely going to be posting a video of that. I'll never know how fast it can go because you can't resonably hi that fast without instability on one of these but I love it to pieces and I'd be more than willing to bet it's the fastest of it's class by far. I wanna get you opinion on all the things i did and maybe give me some pointers about additional mods i have planned.

It's easy to ride, it's comfortable especially for long distances and it's safe.....it looks like a pimped out Pee Wee Herman bike and it's completely awesome!! Ohh yeah I almost forgot, it handles great and very rugged, it takes a rough ride very well because it's built like a tank but rides like a dirt bike it's that versatile ❤ I absolutely love it ❤

Thanks for the video. I just de-restricted my e-bike to run ove 25kph. It is a 250 watt motor and 36v rear hub motor. I was amazed I could ramp it up to 60kph! Of course, even if I did that, it won't go that fast. The e-bike is limited by the voltage and the battery amp/watt hour. Of course, the controller plays a part in that too, not to mention if it is a geared motor, they may be designed for a certain optimal speed or top speed. Anything past that will just soak up more juice and/or require more pedaling on my part. In mine, I noticed I couldn't really go past 31kph when the battery is newly charged, even if I set it to 40kph or 60kph. So, it has to be a voltage limitation, battery amp limitation or the geared motor. But I am not complaining. A 5kph-6kph bump is still better than being stuck at 25kph. :) My guess is if the battery was 48-v, I might just go over 40kph easy. But that would mean I have to get a 48-v battery and maybe even re-programming the controller (if it can be or can handle the extra load) to go 48-v. Too much to consider, so I'll just stick to 31-32kph. :) I have a question though, how do you know the key or way to get into the menu/sub-menu where you can set the top speed. In ours, you have 4 numbers, and one can do a brute force and try out 9,999 number combinations. One can get lucky even before you reach halfway! Is there a manual or technician's code book where it is indicated there?

I did that process on my Rad City 5 plus and I regularly hit 23 and 24 miles an hour. It may not sound fast, compared to a car but it's fast enough to routinely make my eyes water so badly I couldn't see to ride. I fabricated my own integrated helmet/eye guard out of an old pair of ski goggle lenses and my old helmet but Amazon has some helmets with built-in eye guards.

The Screen is very pretty but chuffin hopeless at just about everything. Speed reads 10 MPH over - Charge reading is ..... Well... is it ? And as for the clock... Just lol.
