For anyone interested, I have a 2007 YBR with fuel injection. I removed this snorkel years ago, ran it with std exhaust, no benefit apart from sound. Then later I got a full Leovince exhaust, and K&N air filter. This brought engine performance to the top. Probably the snorkel removal helped here, as it is quite restrictive. Not talking about hp, which probably had a minimal increase, but rather the shape of the power curve: especially with baffle out, it got great from 6 to 9 k rpm. Bike had 71'000 km now and is still daily ridden as a commuter. Fuel economy: 54 to 56 km/l. Also got NGK iridium plug. A clean, lubed chain without o-rings also helps reducing rolling resistance. Wish we got the EFI version of the bike here in Pakistan :( But well have to do with the carb version for now. How are the Iridium plugs holding up? Any sort of seal leakage ?

@@vicemafia23 hi mate, I've been using iridium plugs for over 10 years now, zero problems. The one on the YBR is a very rudimental fuel injection, honestly I can't understand why they did not switch to Efi on global market. We had carb version in 2006 only.

I also have 2007 efi model and i have an aftermarket exhaust on it. Will the ecu correct the fuelling if i remove the snorkel?

If only exhaust tip is changed then the ECU will adjust itself. If you remove the cat, then a remap is needed

Best way to use free flow filter, it needs some extra work like carb setting, sporket small grary alterations with honda 125's... After that guaranteed 12 Horse power. You can easily beat Honda Lovers.

Great job But also disadvantage of fuel economy Duct removal is best for after market exhausts but not suitable for genuine exhaust because rider faces abnormal sound with less milage & also engine knocking sound

Youre right about sound. Ive been using ybr without airduct with stock exhaust but never had milage issue. You just need to clean filter more earlier

Upgrade ybr to beast Install iridium spark plug Change clutch box from 4 plates to 5 plates assembly Change cylinder of 54mm bore to 57.4mm Use liqui moly or mobil-1 engine oil only Then no bike upto 200cc can catch you

Engine won't get fucked until you wish for it. Ive been riding it without airduct and any jetting, getting good performance as well from 2019. Nothing happened to engine. Stock AFR mein intake thora sa restricted aata ha. Thats all, koi jetting wali rocket science ni ha, neither is it fuel injected jo AFR sy engine ko kuch hojaega

You dont need to reset you fuel mixture. It just maximizes air goind into the filter. Faida yeh ha k high altitudes py apko oxygen level kam milta ha bike mein duct laga ho tou missing krta ha
