Q: Do you do these spreads after the week is over?
A: I always film myself creating these spreads before the week has started and continue to fill it out during the week. I collect the footage at the end of the week and do my voiceover which is why everything I say is in past tense! I always prefer to plan ahead~
Q: How do you use so many planners at the same time?
A: Every week, I choose a few planners for me to use so I’m not actually using ALL of my planners every single week! For example, I always choose a planner for me to take on the go, one for academics, one for business, and one that is more decorative and fun. Part of what I do is showcasing spread ideas so that is why I have so different layouts!
Q: How did you learn your lettering?
A: This is a pretty annoying answer but...practice practice practice! I didn’t use a book or a single resource to learn. I honestly just picked up on the different types of lettering through my daily life (things like book covers, posters, etc.) and practiced whenever possible!!!

Loved this handwriting video! I have a friend who only writes in Caps. Non-stationery ppl don't understand that there are many variables to consider when writing. For me, the neatness depends on my mood, the pen I use, how long & how fast I need to write down the information and where I am writing it. That's why I have so many different pens. The "correct" way to hold a pen is almost the way you are going to click your fingers with your thumb and index gripping the pen while the top rests in bn the curve of the index & thumb with your 3rd finger supporting the pen from below. It's called a tripod grip.

My mom writes in all caps (said she started in highschool...teacher was dine with it as long as she could prove knowledge of "proper" writing). The letters that are supposed to capital are larger than the others, kinda like hoe cyrillic alphabet does it. So the lowercase letters are just miniaturized capitals.

I think one good way to start if you want to change your style is to just change one letter at a time. I started with curling my lowercase g's and y's in elementary school, and never made any changes until middle school where I started trying things like crossing my q's and changing around my uppercase Y's. And then in high school, I added a few things to my l's, t's, and s's and I practiced for like 8 months to add those to my normal handwriting. It's a slow process but whoever is reading this, you got this!!

Always loved your handwriting so much ❤️ also omgsh thank u for including the bit about speed vs. neatness and showing an example of your messier notes (they were still quite neat af but also noticeably different) - I feel like most handwriting improvement videos give the impression that ✨this perfect writing is just how I write ALL THE TIME✨ without acknowledging that sometimes it does change a bit when writing in a more real-world situation of note taking 🥲 (Also +1 on the mixing of uppercase and lowercase letters when writing casually in print lol 😂)

I found it very interesting as I noticed that depending on the country you are from, your writing styles and habits will be really different because you were taught differently ; I'm from France, and here, lot of people have learned to write in cursive letters before writing in script letters (for example, my teacher obliged me to write in cursive for the essays and homework I was writing for them), and so, a lot of people (including me) struggle with your kind of handwriting !

Hi Helen. I’ve already started the worksheet. I wouldn’t say I have the neatest handwriting but I do sometimes wish I wrote smaller. The challenge sentence doesn’t include an “s”. I think if you change jumped to jumps you’ll then have the full alphabet. Great job and thanks for the worksheet! 👍❤️

Actually to add to that, even if it’s not different for each topic, I assign colours to subjects (for example I study french, German and mandarin and their assigned colours are pink, green and orange respectively) which only are really featured to differentiate them and to highlight new topics, important terms and formulas for people who don’t like using highlighters

My biggest tip--use your thumb on the pen along with two fingers. Your thumb has so much more strength, so the pen will be more stable and you won't get as tired. You also don't have to grip the pen as hard. More stability = more speed and less fatigue. :-)

@@robloxoceanicairlinesccs6149 it may feel funny to you but it’s actually the correct way to do it. Mechanically, ergonomically, etc. think of your thumb and two fingers like a tripod. On my third finger, though, I don’t use the finger tip. I rest against the side of my first knuckle.
