    Sir your videos are so so helpful🤩😁..thank you so much for such selfless effort..always to the point. May God bless you immensely and no, my govt medical College in Andaman doesnot have a QI or Audit dept sir . But, one doubt, do only JCI accredited hospitals have these depts? Or NABH hospitals too. Asking so that I can look for those hospitals to work in.

  • @SumanPaulDoc

    @SumanPaulDoc

    I am glad you find my videos helpful. To be honest, I was not even aware that Andaman has a medical college. All JCI (preferable)/NABH accredited hospitals will have a quality department. But I wouldn't advise joining them only for audit. You can get it easily done in any UK hospital.

    Hi, would it be a good idea to clear MRCP Part 1 after obtaining GMC registration via plab route in order to score the first job in the UK? Would it have an impact on our CV?

  • @SumanPaulDoc

    Its a good idea if you eventually want to train in a medical specialty. It does carry some marks for specialty training application -IMT. Not much impact for non training jobs.

    Thank u for the info doc.kindly help me with this query - I have published some articles in journals , but they are not pubmed indexed.though they have other indexing like googlescholar etc. In your oriel application video..it shows that points are only offered to pubmed indexed journals..which is a bit more difficult to get. Does that mean the articles I have already published won't be of any use for UK NHS application as they are not pubmed indexed?

  • @SumanPaulDoc

    @SumanPaulDoc

    2 жыл бұрын

    Google scholar is not enough, it should be on pubmed for scoring marks. This is usually mentioned on the application.Unless the criteria change when you will apply, you wont score anything for these articles.

    Dada I am from Kolkata and I am currently working as a Cardiology CCU RMO at RN Tagore Hospital, Kolkata and also preparing for PLAB 1 next year.. I have designed and started two audits (with a team which is basically a group of friends). I have 3 doubts. 1.If the HOD of my department gives me a letter mentioning that I have completed a clinical audit in his department ,mentioning all the relevant details. Is that good enough evidence or do I need something more? 2. I have participated in two publications. One as the 3rd author in an editorial article and one as a 2nd author in a case report. Both have been published in Pub Med indexed journals. Are they good enough ? (PS - I understand that original research work is best but then not always possible). 3. I want to get into IMT training and ultimately want to pursue cardiology in the distant future. I saw that in the 2022 IMT CV criteria, they are giving 4 point weightage to case report publications as a "co-author". That's why my 2nd question. Also working in a cardiology department does show my commitment to speciality, right?

  • @SumanPaulDoc

    @SumanPaulDoc

    2 жыл бұрын

    1. HOD letter is fine as evidence. 2. 2nd author is co author- you will score for.this. 3. Cardiology experience is great.this is important to demonstrate commitment to specialty.
