How To Improve VR Controller Interaction By Adjusting The vrconfig txt File

Ойындар

I go over how using OVR Toolkit, Notepad++ and DataRefTool you can improve the VR controller interaction with the virtual cockpit while in VR. I also go over some of the new features that are now available in X-Plane 12.
If you click on the "Copy Name" on DataRefTool that puts it in the clipboard. If you then put the cursor where you would like in Notpad++ and then with the OVR Toolkit keyboard click on Ctrl then v it will paste the clipboard at the cursor. This can be in the main text or the search bar.
If you are using a plane that uses the SkunkCrafts Updater make sure you create a file named skunkcrafts_updater_ignore.txt in the plane folder which is the same place as you will find skunkcrafts_updater.cfg file. In that file put the _vrconfig files so they will not be overwritten. A example for the Thranda Kodiak would be Kodiak_100_vrconfig.txt on the first line of the skunkcrafts_updater_ignore.txt file.
Here is where you can get this. Aircraft VR Configuration (_vrconfig.txt) File Format Specification
developer.x-plane.com/article...
OVR Toolkit store.steampowered.com/app/10...
Notepad++ notepad-plus-plus.org/
DataRefTool datareftool.com/

    Sparker , you have no idea how you help me. I use flight simulators since 1999 and you have a lot more experience than me for sure. I was trying to speed up the radio controls for Toliss A320 and than I saw this video and start tweaking the airplane. Now is working perfectly! thanks for sharing this one. I'm really appreciated

    How do you get that floating window that shows the text file and web browser to show up?

    Hey Sparker. Before I invest in a Bigscreen Beyond, I wanted to see what the smaller FOV looked like relative to my Valve Index. So I "PDQ modified" my HeadLamp XPlane plugin to add "blinders" on the edges of my vision matching the documented FOV. The vertical FOV is noticeably tighter, but not too bad! The horizontal FOV is about the same. Does that agree with your experience?

    I am coming from a Vive Pro 2 with prescription inserts that I think reduced the FOV. I do not find any issue with the Beyond FOV and if I need I just turn my head. the fact that is so light you barely feel like you are wearing it. I did have to get a updated IPD and facial interface to get to where I am now but very happy now.

    @@sparkerinvr526 Yeah, I also currently use prescription inserts with my Index and I'll need to have some added to the Bigscreen in order to use it.
