As an artist, I feel the most impressive is to see that people develops their own style. Doesn't matter yet if it's good or not, it's awesome to see that someone has found their own style that they like and want to develop. I personally prefer someone's doodles and sketches a lot more than realistic stuff.
@gclip9883

Exactly. The thing that makes realistic art actually far easier is the fact that you can rely on your reference. But the more abstract you get, the more you have to rely on your creativity and ability to work with shapes and colors. I'm currently able to draw realistically, but it absolutely amazes me how Basquiat for example could create these abstract paintings with a distinct visual language that no one before him had ever used. You can look at a Basquiat and instantly know that it's him. And there is no clear path towards developing that ability, while anyone could learn to draw realistically.

THIS!! I LOVE seeing what different artists and art styles peoples’ personal styles are influenced by. It’s so cool to see a product of different stylistic interests and how people use shapes and angles. A drawing with sharp angles and thick lines has SUCH a different vibe from the same exact drawing with round angles and thin lines or no lines at all. It’s just so fascinating to see the different ways people imagine things and build them in their heads. I know my style (for humans at least) is inspired by Junji Ito, some of the monster musume species guides and other influences that i can’t think of. There’s just so many possibilities to mix and match for awesome styles and it’s so fucking cool

I know, right?! I’m a costume designer, so I do renderings of clothes, so they don’t have to be super realistic, and I’ve seen costume designers that have similar styles to each other, but there are a few (like Tom Broecker from SNL that are super unique) . Also, I always see the way different artists draw, and I want to somehow make it my art style. I really like Renée Graef’s style (she did the Little House on the Prairie and American Girl Kirsten books) I don’t know how to explain it, but the characters always look so sweet and cute

I've always found realism to be the easiest. It impresses me when I see things not directly copied from life. Pure creativity is 1000% more impressive to me. Yeah, a stylized illustration of an environment or even just a study impresses me more than those big, hyper realistic paintings sometimes. Like, yeah sure i can appreciate the blood, sweat and tears they put to copy a photograph, but in the end it's just an enlarged photo. As an advanced artist I'm impressed,
Is that a *SNIIIIIIIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF* Underrated artist I smell?! 🎨🖌️
I thought the last one was gonna be “have a varied body of work that shows off your range from realism to abstract” but your entirely right, it’s insane impressive that you’ve finished anything
Oh damn I can't express how much I envy the skill of people who make expressive brush strokes and manage to pull abstract shapes together to form the imagine they are trying to portray. Yah that realistic lemon painting is nice but just look at that other one that is so much more flowing and expressive!! I'm gonna work hard to build a skill level in that style

It takes unlearning the realism.

@@kiwimiwi5452 i do get what you mean, and i also envy them hard, i have to copy all from google images or real world to draw something. Oh well maybe i'm better at other stuff.
I have never seen such great drawing talent as yours. Just keep going I want to see more.❤❤❤
As an inner media artist, being able to draw the other eye is what I’m impressed of😅
I’m impressed with all of these and I’ve been drawing my whole life (no joke) 🙃
I feel like no matter a person's artistic level, we are all plagued with pretty much stopping a drawing halfway and forgetting or not feeling like completing it But as a intermediate artist I am impressed by all your art. I'm more of an anime/cartoon artist

As a artist myself, this will literally impress everyone you come across
As someone who's pretty much a cartoonist learning how to draw anime stuff, I'm definitely impressed.✨

The creative ones are so cool ❤
As an artist artist, i was really impressed with everything.
Finishing my art is the most painful part, especially when your in the middle of working on an art piece and suddenly you get an idea for a new art piece so you get started on the new one

Bro relatable af😮
How to impress people with art: Put your soul into it (character, setting, etc) Give it a solid base Give it a nice form Give that concept a heavy twist And just have fun with it
As a young artist I am impressed by a lot especially the realism like HOW
i'm impressed by perspective and optical illusions, it's mindblowing to me
How to impress people with other art styles: Actually show other art styles (Disclaimer: This is not a hate comment. I think the art is amazing. I just hate that the only art styles I ever see are realistic “trendy” art)
How to impress me: get the proportions looking exact
