I love my church but recently he read from the passion translation and that was worrisome! Pray for their discernment !

Thank you for this help in these last days Brother Costi, this is such an important issue! There are many false teachers are around and you can SPOT THEM by the word of truth. God's word never changes, but the craftiness of men will twist sound teaching to lead people away!

It is so difficult to find a church that my husband and I can even agree on....he is charismatic/pentecostal. For a few months I attended his church but it feels so wrong there. I NEVER heard the gospel. Everyone speaks in tongues and many other things. I asked him to show me biblically where these things are but never was shown. Only given an explanation. I feel it's a huge red flag when the pastor claims to be able to see heaven and sees what the spirit is doing. Such a frustration because my husband thinks I'm attacking him when I try to talk about this churches false beliefs. ... Justin Peters teaching really helped give me clarity. I just wish my husband would be willing to listen without being defensive over his "experiences"

I hear you. I have a similar situation with my wife, though she does come to the Bible-centered church with me. In my case she comes from a Pentecostal family and I used to be that way also, till God changed things for me. I would suggest you find a good church in your area that teaches the scripture, and ask the pastor there for advice in your situation. God bless you.

I am in a similar situation as you. My girlfriend works in a ministry that does the same. I am very worried that she doesn't have solid fundamentals of Christian faith. Their leader, who claims to be an apostle, saturates them with repetitive teachings which he sneakily inserts pressuring congregation to give more money. It doesn't feel right morally and ethically. I tried approaching my girlfriend about it but instead of examining the truth together, I am labelled as a "persecutor" by simply wanting to have an honest conversation. I pray for you and everyone who experience the same. Stay in His truth and ask for wisdom in dealing with this situation. God bless.

I am a Born Again Christian. I am not a pastor. I have stopped storms, prayed, people were healed. JESUS sent me to Muslim homes, were there where marriage problems. Jesus healed the marriage. I trusted God to get my microwave which too big, after speaking to that space, it fit. I have witnesses. Jesus is not a liar. He is God he cannot lie.

If you don't repent, wgen you die you will have to give him an account for your life. A life that Jesus died for. Your sins are already forgiven, God has an amazing plan for your life, and you disrespecting The Father Son Holy Spirit. My struggle is with pastors that will call out the obvious false teachers, but are shallow in their teaching and give a platform for questionable teachers. So many people I know say that I am not being discerning, but rather I am being hypercritical. There is one pastor that many in my family go to his church and something about him has alarm bells ringing for me, but aside from a couple of small things, I can't put my finger on anything concrete. My family says it is not their job to call put their pastor for having Mark Driscoll speak at their church and that others in the family are responsible for their own walk, so it isn't their problem if others are not being taught correctly. Costi I know you are unlikely to read this, but this pastor is not far from you. Please help if you are able. My church is small and is struggling with it's own issues with a recent upheaval, but maybe you can help. I am still new in my faith. I am praying for their eyes to be opened. I worry that maybe I am just too critical as I am struggling with the interim pastor at my own church and trusting him. I almost switched to your church, but I am following my husband's lead and staying where we are at at least for now. Anyway, thank you for this video.

I've asked my pastor about those teachers. He told me: T.D. Jakes - solid preacher, anointed man. My pastor visits Jakes' church often for personal meetings, and speaking engagements Rod Parsley - solid preacher. My pastor says that him and Parsley are close and that Parsley is his spiritual father. Creflo Dollar - solid preacher and has close communications with him and his camp. Stephen Furtick - one of the best preachers out. He rebuked my wife (our churches P&W leader) for not doing Elevation music for a while and said that Furtick and his music are sound and that Furtick preaches against sin all the time, focuses on repentance all the time, and preaches the gospel all the time. Our pastor rebuked me for sharing a video of a sound preacher pointing out the errors when Furtick said his infamous lines, "Not even Jesus can override your unbelief," "God broke the law for love," "I am God Almighty." Joel Osteen - our pastor said Joels father was highly anointed and Joel is doing his best under the legacy left behind, and that while he is soft spoken, he is a solid preacher. Jesse Duplantis - our pastor quoted him recently and said our church can learn from Duplantis about being comfortable with being wealthy and prosperity. Kenneth Copeland - our pastor said his ministry is the largest because he preaches the gospel unashamed and many support his anointed ministry. He has recently said that there is a lot of truth in WOF and prosperity gospel. He has shared his excitement that one of our denomination leaders/womens leader received a vision from the Lord that the AG and the Catholic church will become brothers in the faith. He has shared his excitement from a conversation he had with a Catholic priest who was "baptized in the Spirit and fire" and began speaking in tongues. So this is proof that the vision is coming to pass.

God lives within us but at the same time, many people do not relate to this God inside. Myself, Jesus lives inside me but I also accept the reality of God in other disciplines & religions. God is Infinite. What you say about the Prosperity preachers is TRUE, all those you name are false - that is a fact. They do not represent Our Lord. They are using 'positive thinking' & 'God is Santa Claus.' These people USE GOD. But there are Saints in Buddhism, Yoga, Pagans, Wicca, Catholic Church - other religions. The Mormons & Jehovah's Witnesses are wrong in their doctrines, yes indeed. I have listened to them. And human men when they take over any institution or religion often CORRUPT it. You are good the way you explain the Gospel but John MacArthur? If he wasn't so crazy he'd make me laugh. I tried to endure his 3.5 hour diatribe against Our Holy Mother Mary, saying her apparitions were the devil ?!?!?! People are LONGING for a Mother-God love, the unconditional love of a Mother, - She stood at the Cross. The Catholics do NOT worship her. But I do. You will probably ban me from commenting again, lol, but to me, Holy Mary is equal to Jesus. In Yoga we say 'the Guru is God.' All the great enlightened, self realized Souls relate to the God within, they are called Incarnations. Jesus is not the only one. But of course, we do need discernment - that comes from the Holy Spirit - a Gift.

Rabban Gamaliel gave the criteria for a false Messiah or leader in Acts chapter 5 where he said if the Jesus movement known as Nazarene sect of Judaism or Netzarim came to nothing then it was not of divine origin. He expected Yeshua to become like the others mentioned in the passage and seemingly he was right on as Yeshua's Netzarim movement officially ended in 135 ce and disappeared from history in 333 ce. Splinter groups and Romanized Christianity don't count as they were not his movement. They were known as only Netzarim. I've done plenty of research and discovered this information from credible sources. There is really no argument they came to nothing with fake Catholic Christianity taking its place. This seems to demonstrate Jesus was a false leader like the others mentioned in the passage.

Unfortunately, false religion has infiltrated most Christian churches today. A sure sign of a false teacher is that all false churches deny the power of the Holy Spirit to deliver us from sin. False ministers deny the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us to righteousness. They teach that the spirit will struggle with the flesh until we die, and that there is no remedy for this condition. In truth, we do not have both the Holy Spirit and the flesh nature. We only have one or the other. Jesus wins the battle for us when we are Born Again. Scripture says: Colossians 2:11 "In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ." Jesus cuts away the flesh when we receive the Holy Spirit, and we lose sinful desires. The Apostle Paul confirms this: Galatians 5:24 "And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." We dont have both the Holy Spirit and the flesh nature. Scripture tells us so: Romans 8:9 "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you." Everyone who dies while still in their flesh has not been born again. Scripture tells us that sinning Christians are guaranteed to end up in hell: Romans 8:13 "For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." Jesus only gives the Holy Spirit to those who are obedient. Scripture tells us so: Acts 5:32 "We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.” The Apostle John who was taught by Jesus face to face agrees with these things. 1 John 3:9 "Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." God’s grace does not free us to sin. It frees us from sin. Romans 6:18 "You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness."

@@santoshthapa9720 ...and who publicly shamed and excommunicated a woman who sought the protection of his church against her abusive husband and child abuser. And when it came out, the best Bible teacher in the 21st century assigned a well respected elder to research the incident. The elder fully investigated, found the church in the wrong, and said a full apology was warranted. He was then asked to resign. This is now a widespread scandal, and I think until things are made right with an independent examination of the facts, John MacArthur fans will wish they put a little distance there. Orthodox doctrine is a great need in the church today. But so is a robust orthopraxy that does not beat up the sheep. Justice and righteousness are the only proper adornment of sound doctrine.

Don’t get me wrong he is great in theology but so were the Pharisees, and they ended up murdering Jesus because they thought that they were correct in their own interpretations of the Torah. There is not a single pastor, apostle or Christian that is above reproach, and when we become wise in our own conceits we create divisions in the church through denominations and theology; through vain jangling and debates about the law which are worthless and vain. You have to have fruits of compassion, empathy, humbleness, humility, and a hope for reconciliation to those who are lost. Every time I watch him he is constantly being very self righteous and condescending to other Christians, and from personal experience these fruits are produced solely from following in the law of sin and death and not the law of faith. I think we can take good things from every pastor but we have to return to our first love and realize we aren’t any better than the people that we criticize.

no you are wrong about all those you mention as being false- they have All helped me to be where i am now. the problem is the person themselves- They need to seek, pray, discern and grow- you cant listen to one person alone because we are ALL flawed and as with any relationship , it gets stronger with getting to know and going thru things with that person and also with God- what is comes down to is YOUR love for God- the more you love Him the deeper your trust & relationship will be with him and he will show you and with time it becomes stronger- to refer to the opinion of a pastor regarding other churches or ministries is having someone do your homework for you- You are responsible to God for you, not your pastor- your pastor cannot save you- Jesus Christ and your love for what He did for you on the cross AND following His teachings is what will save you- He left us with a bible and with the Holy Spirit - it is up to us do receive these and do our own due diligence and not be like lazy virgins or bury our talents- Eve was responsible for her choice- she listened to the serpent because her heart CHOSE on purpouse to go along with the serpent’s lies- if she loved God she would have trusted in Him and rebuked disobeying him- but instead she wanted more than what God had already given her- same thing with us- Jesus said there is life or death-YOU choose but he wants you to choose life

You just named all reformers in your suggestions.Are you now considering yourself a Calvinist, foolish Galatians who has bewitched you. I pray you not falling into that trap.
