I really appreciate this video series! I am hoping to take an AIARE course soon, but until I can afford that it is helpful to have information accessible in these videos. I have soured the internet for avalanche education info. Thank you for producing these!

Thanks for the refresher on identifying avy terrain. Snow Be Flyin'. Definitely get the forecast but conduct your own snow stability tests, whether ICT or ECT, before ascending or descending a specific avy prone aspect.

Not a word about the #1 factor that is SO easy to assess - how steep is the slope?

Not sure this is the best title for the video. Seems to cover more how to assess avalanche terrain and apply a forecast than to 'identify' avalanche terrain

People that actually want to identify avalanche terrain? Your reply makes no sense…

This is the same video that is uploaded for "Where is the Weak Snow", which that title suits this video more. Would love to see the "How to Identify Avalanche Terrain" uploaded!

Avoid going out when there has been sun, rain, wind, fresh snow, warm temperatures or changes in the weather. Beware of snow blowing off trees, rippled or varied snow surfaces, leeward or drifted sides of ridges, features that stick up into the wind, pinwheels or roller balls on steep slopes. Have I missed anything? Have fun!

too much music and unrelated footage to be really an educational video imo

Not very helpful. Confusing and jumped around heaps. I was looking for simple tips to keep me safe in backcountry
