My older brother would deliberately wait a week or more to hook up my NES so I learned how to do it as a kid. Just one of many reasons we've never gotten along over the years. I think he was an only child used to attention and when I was born, resented me for it every since. Some mental illness might be going on too, he can't hold onto a job, probably because he's not a team player.

Just got an original NES and was confused. I remember a plug in the back by the power cable and a box you screwed a cable onto that screwed into the back of the TV. Can't believe I forgot about the side plug-ins. Thanks! BTW, Ninja Gaiden is one of the games I bought with my NES. and now I'll be playing soon. Edit: I see you showed the version I remember. The nostalgia!

Of course! And thanks man! Much appreciated!
Just to note some TVs are not capable of detecting mono audio whether the one audio cable is plugged into the left or right Channel. On some TVs you may need a y splitter to get sound out of both speakers. In my experience TVs that have that capability typically had L/mono written on the white input.
Thank you I’m going to buy a original nes tomorrow
Hey your rca crt tv’s geometry looks pretty good. Did you calibrate that with the test suite grid and service menu?
@ThrowbackGames_

I don’t even know how to calibrate the geometry on the TV. Didn’t even know you could! I guess I just got with that
The Nes R switch. Do I need that to play my Nes or can I play my Nes with out that adapter. Coz I only have the aerial wire for it
so am 10 and am recovering my moms old super nintendo AND i i only have a cable whith the red end and white end sadly :(
1:42 Rly creepy but thats the crt tv I recently got, exact model lmao EDIT: The interface and ports look different so it must be different dates ours were made but still super cool to see the same crt being enjoyed by a fellow retro gamer
It Was Confusing, But Thank You!
I did everything in ur video but my tv just has a blue screen n says no signal. Do i have to change the input on my tv?
Will the A/V wires work on a flat screen? Ive heard they don't buy I've also heard they do
@ThrowbackGames_

They do! Just make sure they have the inputs for it
The LED addon around your TV.. you're a freak dude. xD

What about the NES top loader?
Well that’s good that you can play it on HD Tv that’s cool

I hooked up my nes to my crt and nothing happened just static.I have audio and video cables connected as well as the ac adaptor but it's just not working.I don't have and rf switch though.Maybe that's the problem?I'm really confused do you have any advice?

Your AV cables might be the issue. May need a new pair; that is usually the case

@@ThrowbackGames_ Does the color of the av cables matter?
@ThrowbackGames_
3 жыл бұрын
@@gonewiththemilk-1999 yes, each color has to go in its corresponding hole except if you want audio coming from both speakers playing. If you want both speakers to play, put the red cable in the whit female port, and the yellow in the yellow female port. If you’re trying to use component cables (Green blue red) it won’t work. You need composite cables (red yellow white)

does nes console have some kind of hum noise?
@ThrowbackGames_
2 жыл бұрын
Is the Nintendo itself humming or is it the audio from the tv? If it’s the Nintendo, remove the AC adapter and get a new one. Yep f it’s the audio, it should only have a slight static noice, humming is an issue within your AB cables; get a new pair
@katseazzz

Plugged everything in she I get just a yellow screen any suggestions??? TIA

A solid yellow screen could mean either the game needs to be cleaned or the cartridge slot. Clean the game with some IPA (higher percentage the faster it drys) and the cartridge slot with compressed air. Hope this helps!
