It's been a month since I got into playing violin and I was wondering why th I still felt extremely uncomfortable despite using a shoulder rest. I can't even grip the violin between my shoulder and my jaw, so I ended up just put it on my shoulder and lean my chin on it and I looked so awkward in the mirror. That also makes it almost impossible to let my hand off the violin without dropping it. Turns out, I was using shoulder rest the wrong way. After I tried (just now) positioning my shoulder rest the way you did, it's a huge game changer. Thank you very very much! Edit : Subbed!

hi i appreciate a lot my violin looks like exactly like yours same chin rest shoulder rest so i could check both positions will probably make some adjustment according my older age thanks 🎻👍🌹

after getting kicked from orchestra in 5th grade then getting kicked from band in 6th grade, I’m in 8th now and yk my grandma actually bought the violin for me and it costed a lot plus my dad wants me to play a musical instrument so I’m gonna learn again hopefully
