Great job. I had the equalizer for 10 years and only used that one bar for leverage once or twice. Always just raised my trailer up high enough that it would clear with me just pushing on the sway bar. Of course I had a different truck and trailer.

Great explanation, just a thought I always preferred to put the safety pin all the way around (safety pin showing from outside) so I make sure I have it on.

We used the standard shank. The dealer installed it and they had the longer one on hand but determined it wasn’t needed.

Hey, great video...I have a question about the blue grease at the hitch head, I thought those parts should have crazy friction to stop the sway so when the grease is on it would it make the two surfaces non friction? Thnaks for your help.

Hi, good question. The manual clearly states to lubricate those sections with either grease or with the high performance lubricant we showed. Seems like the torque of the bolts will provide enough resistance for sway control and the lubricant is to reduce wear and tear on the parts. It’s a balance.

Nice informative video. My 23 FB is on order and wondering did you get the 600 tongue/6000 lb Equalizer hitch or the 1000 tongue/10000 lb version? I’m sure my dealer can help guide me but I like to have information on hand depending on what they say. 😃 Thank you! More Airstream videos I can’t wait for mine!!!

what is the hight of the hitch ball?

Thank u for sharing. What weight distribution hitch did you go with? My dealer is saying only use the E4 10,000 pound on our yet to be delivered 2022 23CB bunk.

Hi, it is a stock Raptor. This particular Airstream’s hitch weight is pretty low. Watch our other video “Why we chose this Airstream…” to get more info.

Do you have a video discussing the actual towing? Like does the raptor sway or how it handles cross wind? an other things that have come? my trailer is 5400 pounds dry weight..

@@chizuck3322 the Raptor tows this trailer great. We use the equalizer sway control hitch, which is a must. This trailer is about 4800 pounds dry weight so not sure how a heavier one would be. Also the Raptors have sway control and ours came with the brake controller.

Where did u get those rubber accessory pads?

Hi! We got those directly from the dealer. But, you can purchase your own online from etrailer.com or equalizerhitch.com directly. It’s called the sway bracket jacket.

Curious what your tow capacity is for your raptor, what about the load capacity of the raptor?
