@Ultimate Baseball Training coach Justin, approximately 20:20 into the video you talk about "finishing the swing", that is where I'm having trouble.. Can you please explain what to do in the process of missing the ball/letting the force of the swing go without it pulling you off balance for example: One swing I attempted, spun me in a circle even with a good stance and my Second swing felt like almost dislocated my lead shoulder.. I guess a better way of asking the question is, in the process of "finishing the swing" is there a point where we intentionally end or pull the swing to stop it/slow it down or do we let the swing go without actually letting go of the bat.. 😢

As a mom of an 8-year-old boy who knew nothing about baseball at the start of this season, I think these videos are good for all levels. Moms like me can think of drills or ways to get an 8yo to digest information/techniques that might be slightly above his comprehension, but we have to know the basics and sound advice before we can do that. Following advice mainly from this channel, my boy went from 2nd-to-last in the batting lineup to batting 3/4 as a power hitter this season. That slow-swinging boy with an uptight stance become someone the team grew to count on in close games. Before long, he hit his first home-run and then a grand-slam the next game. Now he hits straight up the middle with line drives and hard ground balls, bringing in runs and getting doubles and triples more often. This was in a matter of weeks! If I were reading this comment 3 months ago, I wouldn't believe it was possible for my son, but a few simple tweaks, some tee drills, and a willing boy with a positive, coachable attitude, and after the 4th game of the season, coach was beginning to notice and compliment him. He gave him the game ball for his marked improvement at the plate. Then he began to move toward the middle and then top of the lineup, as he consistently proved himself. Now at the end of the season, coach recommended he move up to a AA select team. You wouldn't know it watching his first two games, and I would have put money on his first home-run being at least a year away, yet here we are. Thank you so much for these videos! It has been a game-changer for my son!

This is good to read. My 6yo (soon to be 7) is suddenly interested in baseball having never played tee ball or little league. I follow baseball, but never played much after middle school. So as far as technique goes, I know essential nothing to help him figure out how to play. I’ll put these tips to good use.
I did pretty bad on the machine today so I need this

A pitching machine? I’m new to baseball that’s prolly a stupid thing to aak
I needed this. I'm 47 and haven't played since I was a teenager. Even in slowpitch softball, it feels so foreign to me. I'm taking this to the batting cage tonight! Thank you for posting!
My husband is coaching our 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son’s baseball team. I played softball into college so I help out when/where I can as well. Here I am up at 1am watching videos on how to help some of the kids hit on the team. Sometimes it’s hard to break down the mechanics of a swing to show them the right way and your videos do a great job! It’s like, “I know how to swing but I’m having a hard time explaining it to kids.” Great video!
Thanks Justin on another great video, with your help I was able to go 4-6 with two doubles during a baseball tournament last weekend

This was actually a pretty good breakdown. Form looked pretty good. Gonna try it next practice. The people complaining about "talking too much" are probably the ones with short attention spans playing with the dirt on the field.
This is by far one of the best instructional videos for beginning hitters. Coach does a fantastic job of breaking down every step. I use this to help teach my 8u coach pitch boys and it has really helped! Thanks Coach Justin!
Thanks, haven’t played in a actual game in over five years so this is helpful
Hello Justin, awesome information that i will share today with my Little League team in our batting practice before our championship baseball game this evening!!!
That was one of the best videos I’ve seen explaining the components of the swing. Well done!
Greatest hitting video I've ever seen.
Ive never played baseball, but I love hitting at the batting cage. Gonna learn how to hit with good form, thx!
I have my first baseball practice in 16 years. This is much needed thank you lol
Great video about basics for begginers! Is there any chance that you'll make similar for pitching?
Thanks man this is going to help me a lot
haven't played in 17years. This helps a lot !
What a great video, definitely helped me after not playing baseball for 20 years
Great content and amazing delivery. You are a talented speaker!
Justin, I just found your videos and am watching this one as the second....I'm 50 and starting my second year back playing hardball in a 38+ league after a pretty dismal first year back. These videos are awesome, man. To the point, well thought out and concisely explained. I feel like I will be able to apply these tips immediately and it makes me look forward to this season even more. Thanks!

Hi Justin, Thanks for the video. Good job! From a dad trying to help his 10 year old become a better hitter. There a lot of good tips here. keep i It's one thing to hit a baseball and another thing to try to teach someone else to do it.
Your videos help me so much with hitting and the correct stance to use👍👍
Coach Justin, love all the videos. My sons are 15 and 11 and we have been using your video trainings through their baseball development and they both excel on the field and your training is a big part of that. Was wondering what bat you’re using in this video? I couldn’t identify the logo. Thanks for all you do to help my sons get better at their craft.
Hey Justin I just had a game yesterday and before my game I watched this video and I was able to score 2 times! Thanks for the tips bro

@Dirt bike Digging just had Double header games today. Smashed one of my hits as a double cause I leveled out my swing. Let's go! 400 ft and hit it 390.
Terrific material! My heartiest kudos to you, sir! Perfectly explained and demonstrated. There are so many con men, scammers, frauds and clowns out there peddling garbage it is wonderful to watch this video. The correct and proper basics of hitting have been the same for 25-5-75-100 years. Don't fall for these saber/tech know it all hot shots. Listen to guys like this Coach. THIS is how it's done!
Hey Justin thanks i need this i have a game on Saturday against the Phillies and i am on the giants and i am a dodger fan lol
The only hitting video I have ever seen that teaches exactly what I teach. Let Me add that, in any good load the front elbow has to get back past the belly button. Instead of a load with a leg kick, I teach, push of the back foot as You stride to balance, the lead foot is only about a half inch off the ground, keeps the head very still. Also, a push load is the best timing stride for a Pitcher trying to slow or speedup His motion. Great video.
this helped me so much thank you Justin.
there are so much to learn playing baseball even as a recreational player. I'm focusing on defense but offense will come
Great job of keeping things simple and basic
Thanks. this helped sooooooo much! I was once a newbie and now a pro!!! :D
Great video. Thanks. I’ll use some of this with my U13s.
Instructions unclear, I broke a chandelier and my balcony window.
I'm going to be fifteen in a few months and I havent played baseball in a few years. I'm thinking about trying out for the highschool team but I was worried because of the time I took off. I can catch and throw pretty well but my at bat has gotten worse ofc. So this tutorial really helps for me to get back in. I'm going to be practicing a lot more now so I can catch up. LIke I said I can throw and catch well and I've always been a really good runner. And I know where the positions are and I know the game still the at bat is just my main worry. But wish me luck!
Thank you so much, this is just what I am needing
Thanks Justin - great job - most helpful

Hey Justin! My name is Zack and I am on the JV baseball team at my high school. I'm a taller guy (6ft 1inch), so I was wondering is there any advice in particular that you would give taller hitters? I know our strike zone is bigger and I have a swing that starts with my hands in the launch position and my feet close(er) together and I find it hard to hit high strikes while still keeping my hands above the barrel. Any tips? Great video and God bless :)
I notice you use a box type grip opposed to a knuckle to knuckle grip, any thoughts on that. It might have been you explaining it as door knocking knuckles being aligned ( being better) instead of the flats aligning.
bro I have not played baseball for a year and this helped me
I will for sure use this if I get a chance to play baseball this year

Lucky for me im only in majors 11-13
This is great stuff. It's a lot of info to digest. How would you go about breaking this down so it can be taught in increments to kids 11 and under? Their attention span can still be short at that age, but they need to learn the fundamentals you're explaining here. Are there aspects of the swing that are more important to teach at a younger age than other parts of the swing? E.g. should young kids focus on working on 2 parts of the swing, versus 4 or 5, all at once.
perfect!
Thank you
Love it❤😊
How is the strike zone determined by the umpire, as the batter addresses the ball or does it move with the level of the chest and knees?
Legend. Much appreciated and helpful video. Keep it up, Coach!
Hey, could you make a video for tips to run a 300 yard shuttle? I have to make a shuttle in under 60-65 seconds and so far I've gotten my time down from 85 to 71 as my highest. I dont know what to do to get faster

How did it go
I finally realized why the knuckle alignment hold advice never made any sense to me. I've always (or used to) grip the bat where my main knuckles aligned (so even further than the "knocking-to-main")--and honestly I might even twist beyond that angle. But then if I slow down my swing and see what I'm doing, I'm rotating my wrists--I'm basically letting go of the bat within my hands--so that by the time I'm hitting the ball, my "knocking" knuckles actually do perfectly align.
Can you do some more drills on keeping your elbow from dropping thank you
