Rabbits ears are very sensible and are used to control the body temperature and sometimes even to establish balance in a new place!

Pipkin: *sneezes like crazy* Also Pipkin: "Hay fever is a thing" Me: *wants to hug Pipkin and overload him with kisses* (I have the same awwwww reaction when my bunnies sneeze as well) 😂❤️

As long there eat and drink there may been just a allergic reaction to something if a flu or so there wont eat nor drink at all..

Yes, getting sneezes is so annoying. Lil Pipkin, i'm glad your humans can help. The fun side is, if you are like me, you can sneeze about 12 times in a row, and it looks like you're head banging 😁

I heard in the bunny group that is serious it is a respiratory infection. I need to take my bunny to the vet because he is getting quite a few sneezes. I heard it need to be taken serious . I get my paycheck soon. I will take him to the vet. I had called one but she was book.i looking for another one .Also waiting to get pay this week to take him asap.

I can tell Pipkin has sinus issues by the fur pattern from his eyes.... I am always cleaning out stuff that gets stuck in the corner of my Dutch Doe Daisy's eyes but thankfully she doesn't seem to have any sinus issues. I wonder if the vet has any suggestions about keeping Pipkin's sinuses clear.

My rabbit has chronic sneezing and slight nasal congestion due to pastuerella bacteria. Once a rabbit gets infected, it's usually impossible to entirely get rid of. I'm not sure if that's what Pipkin has - they do a bacterial culture to find out - but that's usually what's behind rabbit upper respiratory issues. My rabbit was put on a few rounds on antibiotics when she first got it. I just have to give antibiotics if she goes off her food, which hasn't happened since she first got infected and got really sick about two years ago *knocks on wood*

Pipkin may have the "snuffles" which is a pasteurella infection, as you said. Hard to tell where he caught it since he's a solo indoor rabbit. If it continues he might need a visit to the doc and some antibiotics.

In 3 years ago, my rabbit was sneezing, the vet gave him a course of antibiotic (enrofloxicin) to him for two weeks, after that my rabbit got better, he is now 5 years old. I love Pipkin, he is so lovely.

Seeing pipkin always active and happy like this reminds me of my bunny, his name was jembrong, both are look alike, but he left me first, and now its been 3 years since jembrong is gone. I cried soo much at that time, he was sleeping in my lap when that happen. I believe that he already love to live in heaven now😢 i miss him sooo bad. RIP jembrong, i'll always miss you🤗😇

Make sure he doesn’t have an uri as rabbits are obligate nasal breeders and can’t breathe with their mouths, like we can and other species. if they have a stuffy nose, it can be pasteurella (most common) and need treatment ASAP. Otherwise it is very difficult for them to eat or even drink water. It can also be a tooth problem. As your vet to do a culture to find out what and if it is bacteria causing this.
