Thanks for this info video and I'm trying to choose what male in my show tank to start a project with. The first choice is a beautiful fish that I would hate to remove from my tank but I also would love to mix him up with some others so any thoughts?

My biggest enjoyment is breeding fish! I don’t think you would regret breeding him!

Thank you for sharing your knowledege on how to breed african cichlids. Is it true that aragonite substrate will also help in the breeding process? Also, I'm trying to breed my dragon blood with 4 female in a 20G Long tank. Is 20G too small for breeding?

I have achieved success in that size aquarium before but I made sure there were plenty of caves for the females to hide in!

I have a dilemma with a smaller group than yours. Most of them are either yellow or pale pink or white like yours. I wonder what’s the best way to tell which ones will be a future male? I mean if it as pointy or round fin it’s obvious but can u safely assume the deeper colored/yellow ones are most likely males vs the lighter color ones?

They may have had some sunshine genetics in their past. I have been been breeding them for five years and haven't used that mixing combination.

@@RickyKenerlyCichlids oh ok thanks appreciate the info theres this one fish i been wanting but cant find anywhere for sale which kinda looks like a sunshine only it doesn't have the blue cheeks ( cheeks are like red or pink) so i figured it was some sort of Sunshine Dragon blood hybrid wish i had a picture. Question for you, I have a breeding group of dragon bloods like you. I’m trying to get rid of all those black spot in the fish. Any suggestions? I see your females have a few of those spots too.

Line breed the ones with less or no spots! It is a long term solution that can take awhile!

Can I use normal sand or does it have to be a special type of sand ?

Just don’t use sand blasting sand! Pool filter sand is a great option but comes in just one color!

It should work! It might take longer to clear up but it will!

You know how many Babies you will have if you practice this method? Way too many in most case. My Peacock breeds like a rabbit and I only have 3 females
