Cam's really great at teaching! What a lucky run you had in running into him and being able to learn from a pro! You should check all his video's out. Check him out on the "Lights Out DayZ Event" to see how good he is with a bunch of other pro's. A guy named "Wasted" has the whole event covered because I don't believe Cam has in on KZread? Funny thing is I had watched one of his videos before I started playing day z and implemented some of the techniques from it, his voice sounded familiar but I didn’t put 2 and 2 together, pretty cool and crazy odds of that happening

Hey Cam you've helped me a lot when I started dayz. Considering I started right around when you released your first "Perfect Start" video you were one of the first people I went to on my journey. I had quite a bit of fun on my 2nd trip to NWAF where I met a friendly high-gear duo after we shot at each other and realized we were only paranoid, looted out some buildings, and ultimately ended up getting sniped from a building! I may not have ended up having fun or getting that far without you, Thank you.

I just started playing this game and found your vids which are quite helpful. Thank you for that. I have only been on a low pop server now and haven't seen any others yet. Didn't even spend any time on the coast....just ran right in to see what was what. I can only hope I run into people like you, but from what I have seen this is the exception and not the rule for DayZ. Look forward to more content from you. Subbed!

Also, could you make a vid where you show how to survive easier? I mean like I feel like I'm walking from to town to town just looking for water and food and by the time I find something and go to the next area I need to eat and drink again so that's all I do looking for food and water. I would like to stock up on food and water to get myself into a more comfortable position if you know what I mean. It looks easy when you do it because you are so fast and know exactly what you do and plan ahead. That's my problem right now. Thanks!

12:00 Beginner tip: Use rags to craft handwraps before cutting an animal. So you dont have to run to well ( = pvp hotspost) after firing a gun. You also carry empty bottle in your bag which you could have filled up before...

I'm a fairly new player (a little over 20 hours). I really enjoy these videos! One mistake I made on my current life. I found food, water and a weapon with some ammo. One thing I didn't have much of is bandages. I went inland too soon. I got 3 bleeds from some military zombies and had to bandage with dirty rags. Now I'm stuck inland with blood poisoning and have to backtrack to the coast to look for bandages or medicine. I thought I was ready to go inland but I wasn't.

Find a hospital or the yellow tents for medical supplies. They are all over the map and usually in most towns inland. Remember you can always jump on things if you need to. The infected can't hit you while on top of things.

@@chukk_chukkInfected can’t get you, but players can. Climbing on top of stuff makes you a very noticeable and easy to hit target for others to pick off

@@chukk_chukk Yeah, it was a weird situation. I was flanking around the tents and there was a screamer officer in the woods and I didn't even see him until he aggroed. Nowhere to go. I had like five of them on me in seconds. I tried to run, but you know. I did manage to kill them but was bleeding bad and used my bandages. When I log back in, there shouldn't be too many there, but there is no medical tent there. It was a checkpoint. What bummed me out is that for a total noob like me, I was having a pretty good run. Maybe I can come back.

Medical buildings are usually blue in cities. Always take tetracycline pills and vitamin pills, these can help you get rid of many diseases if you get one.

@CamCANTRUN re: @49:29 and clear compasses, all you need to remember is: Never Eat Shredded Wheat (UK) OR Naughty Elephants Squirt Water (plus the red line points north) ;) I actually prefer the colourless compass as it saves you having to open it

I think that's what I'll do once I find the right server.. is build a stash. I'm always running into nails, shovels, and usually carry a hatchet. Or axe.

😂 I ran into somebody that asked me what this game was about I told them whatever you want it to be😂😂

there is most def a rhyme and reason to sickness and getting sick.. very important tech in dayz. i dont know how many times i got audio queues from an enemy, and therefore knew of his existance and location, before he knew mine.. which is like 90% of what is important in an encounter. for me someone who is often sick in dayz is just a pvp chad who doesnt care about much but pvp action(hangs out at NWAF) or a bad playa.. learn your sickness stuff folks.. its not hard to stay sickness free, and is a big advantage. i bet 99% of folks get sick cuz.. 1.they eat with dirty/bloody hands(no gloves), 2.they eat bad food or drink bad water, 3.they run around too much in the rain, are soaked, dont ring clothes and warm up between, dont make a fire quickly after getting sick sign when running around wet/cold(insulation of clothes is important!). the remaining 1% of sickness is "viral" and needs meds.. but if u stick to the three points i mentioned, the only remaining way is catching something from another sick player. (also, the higher your 4 stat lvs, the higher your immune system is, in case u do mess up and break one of those rules, ..you might not get sick.

...adding to statement.. 4.rth reason/rule.. bandaging with non sterile items can also make u sick. so just dont.. ;) if sick from that, u need meds too..tho u can get lucky and have it go away.. again, immune/stat lvs count Reply

The settings are the exact same from PC to Console on the official servers. I think the main reason new players get red food and water, is ya'll spend a lot of time thinking and learning where as experienced players are going going going.... just takes time and practice. ;)

Is your buried stash server specific or does it follow you to any official server?

woodencrates just placed on ground have a lifecycle of like a month on a server, buried ones only 11 days or two weeks keep in mind ;)

Anything that gets buried will only last 14 days where just a crate, barrel, sea chest or plastic case will last 45 days just on the ground. I only stash bags since they last 8hr.

why lie to people your building trust with, I thought you said cam and run but I reviewed again sorry but aka mahogany, dude really I understand 6000 hours creates a. Buildup of mistrust probably 90% of people would be mistrustful but you have to try to find truth in people if that's what you seek so 100% or none at all you can't have both. That's why I don't care for "loot routes" in Day-Z. It really takes from what the games has to offer if you only want to have a linear progression from right to left in pursuit of the best rifle(s). There's a reason why many of the biggest streamers don't play in such fashion. Let every new character be a new story/journey/adventure.

Dude I'm a new player, had a few runs where I got pretty geared up and ventured into some military areas, but I still find the early game tough, and the other day I had a run where I found a crossbow in a house in the first 5 minutes. Then almost immediately died, and pretty sure I'm never gonna find one again.
