I think this video expresses one of, if not the, core tenets of music making; Conversation. Whether its the conversation between two musicians or the conversation between the musicians or the audience, this is the quintessential tenets of why we make music. It's a conversation being had in the moment, and just as in a conversation, if one person is not communicating effectively, it doesn't work. Thank you, gentlemen, for expressing something that I've been trying to understand and wrap my head around since I started seriously playing music.

Great music. I used to listen to Marian and her guests not only for the duet but for the technical tidbits they shared. Your show is the perfect balance of theory, tricks, information, and great music, especially today. What's the name of the last tune you played? I hear it a lot, but I rarely get the title? Also "You23 Are23" must be sung in 3/4. I forgot it was in 4/4.

Super! When you are improvising like this, from which moment are you aware of the keys and scales you’re in? Or are you just thinking chords?

Just curious, ever play with another musician that just wants to show off so not necessarily complimentary to the music... For example I've heard blues solos that doesn't sound like music just a jumble of very fast and flashy notes... Great lesson in playing tasteful music
