Thank you for taking the time to create this video! A couple questions and one comment: - When hanging a larger piece (I'm going to do nearly a full 4 x 8 sheet), how many anchor points would you recommend if you plan to hold larger things like tools? I'm thinking 12 in a 3 x 4 pattern? - Do you recommend not using the pegboard holes for the mounting locations? I notice you drilled new holes, but maybe the pegboard didn't line up with your studs the way you wanted. - For screws, I don't think you'd want to go LESS than 2.5 inches. If you have 3/8" pegboard, 1/2" spacer, and 1/2" drywall, a 2.0" screw would only grip the stud with 5/8". That's what some of these Amazon kits are giving you. Seems like you'd want 3" screws at least to me. To punch completely through a wall, you'd need to go almost 5 inches from the front of the pegboard.

Thanks for the advice, as I was going to create a frame which, as you show, is totally unnecessary. I'd straighten them out prior to tightening the screws though.

As you mentioned, organization is one of the important ways to live life stress-free. While dealing with all the work, it is annoying to search for the materials everywhere. Pegboards are life-saving in industry. Thanks to you, I can now hang my Pegboards flat instead of trapezoid.

Hahaha, I'm happy to help! I actually learned this lesson when I apprenticed with a homesteader who spent half his time looking for tools. It drove me crazy and I vowed I wouldn't become that guy :)

If I have a larger pegboard (6x4) would this work? Wouldn't a full framed spacer be better to be able to handle the weight of lol the tools?

Yes, this should work. The spacer isn’t what is holding the weight. All of the load is supported by the stud in the wall. The only time additional spacing would be required is if you’re hanging things on the board that stick out really far creating torque on the pegboard itself. Even so I hang nail guns and caulk guns without issue.
