I'm in MN and I want to hang a few small glass jars (leftover from coconut yogurt) to put tea light candles to hang from inside my shower during the winter (it's a clawfoot tub with a metal rod all the way around). This is a SUPER helpful tutorial! Very easy to follow these instructions. Thanks!

@@creativefnk, twist the bottom loop * twice* - and then a simple crosshair will become a semi-node, from which the bottom of even a glass jar can no longer slip out. This is super cool, let me tell ya why, I plan on hanging jars filled with water in my patio , which keeps flys away, you can also put a big glass jar or vase in the middle of the table to keep flys away from food

@barbaradollard4186* Hi.. I know your post was five months ago. But thought I'd give it a shot 😊 I live on a small farm... That means flies in my house every time you opened the doors to go in and out...They used to drive me crazy!! I started 3 yrs ago, using the 8 0z canning jars, with these simple jute hangers. I put about 6 shiny pennies in the bottom of the 8oz canning jar filled with the water. I decorate the jar rings and put them back on, to keep the water from evaporating. I laughed when I watched a couple of videos on it..😅 What the shiny pennies do in the jar, is actually trick the strange unique vision of a fly. The pennies look to them as huge predators eyes !! I know it sounds really crazy.. But I can go in and out of my doors a lot , and in 3 yrs, have not gotten more than one or two of them gross bugs inside my house during summer and fall !! If you laugh, as I did, at least give it a try. 😊

You could use a little blue tac underneath, or glue if you want it there permanent 🌼

It should do yes! Holds quite a bit of weight as long as the cords are well positioned under the bottom of the jar 🌻

No matter what I do j can't get the crod to catch the lip..
