Hey, electrician here, highly recommend putting some staples on the wire underneath the foundation of the house, especially if your having some animals walk around under there. Not only does it keep queen and pog boy safe but it also keeps the wire from fraying and getting damaged in the future. Much love uncle Ben.

We used to have a rooster with Kevin’s temperament. I would often find him covered in blood, it was never his. I watched him pull a red tailed hawk out of the air when it swooped over his girls, the hawk barely got away with his life. He would mangle anyone he caught off guard but we kept him because he was a great protector.
Just for an FYI she was in Freeze/shutdown mode. The majority of animals will go into fight flight or freeze when confronted with a threat. She is basically unable to respond until he gave her enough space to move from freeze to flight mode. It looks a bit like submission or even cooperation but basically the dogs central nervous system has taken charge and determine the freeze was the best response.
I love the fact that Kevin’s pure malevolence and blood thirst keeps the farmyard safe from anything lol. Also Uncle Ben is buff af

I'm glad to see that the Urban Rescue Ranch (URR) anime is following the manga so well, especially Kevin's arc. Even though in the manga Coyote had like eight issues where he teaches Kanye inner peace before he leaves, I can see why the showrunners shortened it for TV. Their relationship was so much deeper in the manga, though. It explains why Kanye kept showing up around the coyotes: probably the writers just wanted to nod toward the original series. And yeah, Big Ounce dies a lot in the manga too, but he always comes back. 10/10 for faithful interpretation.

Great video. I love how you caught the predator that ate your chicken, gave it "therapy" and then released it. Many people would have killed it. I'm a hunter and while I know that coyotes and in some places, wolves, prey on deer, personally I don't shoot them just for being what they are and trying to survive the only way that God taught them to survive. God bless you for your work.
The same people who get mad at you for stressing it out are the same people who don’t realise that because of that it’ll never come back and get killed horrifically by your guardian dogs the coyote will respect that a lot thanks you for looking after all these animals that no one else seems to care about it’s my dream to do the same one day

In truth, she only ran towards it when it got attacked by the ostrich, was she going get the coyote? Or was she warning the ostrich? Neither, she was going to stand between them so they dont fight.. she has accepted this coyote as a resident of the farm and so has the male dog, this coyote has chosen the dogs as alphas to follow, and the dogs like that... these are not guard dogs at all, there just pets that hang out on the farm ..
I loved the part where Big Ounce is being fed. Pure, unadulterated carnage.
Working with amazing animals all day, a very demanding but certainly very satisfying job! Thanks for sharing part of the experience!
When I was a child, we found a coyote pup under our deck...he had been hit by a car, but because we were in a rural cul-de-sac, he survived. My grandfather and I brought him to the vets, and we got him fixed up as my grandfather had a license needed to keep injured wildlife that couldn't be rehabilitated (he had a pet crow and a pet opossum and a pet skunk before I was born). We ended up keeping him, because he was so small and weak that he would need bottle feeding, and he had a super bad limp that would've made it impossible for him to hunt to feed himself. His fur was very reddish, and we named him Baron. Baron could sit on command, and play fetch, and lay down on command. That is literally all we taught him, he ate a fully raw meat diet, and he lived with us for four years. Sadly, Baron's story has an unhappy ending. I was playing with him in the front yard one day, and our new neighbor, an off-duty police officer, didn't know he was safe for me to be around, so when he saw Baron running at me, an at-the-time ten-year-old, he dispatched Baron as a threat/pest animal. Nothing will ever make me forget seeing what to me was my dog being taken out so quickly and without question. Rest in Peace, Baron. You were the best behaved coyote I ever had the pleasure to know.

That's a real western coyote. Out here on the east coast, they look more dog-like and much bigger. I can't believe how docile she is. Very cute too. What a face. .

Think about it from the Coyote’s perspective. You know birds. Birds are small. Birds fly. Birds fly away. Birds tasty… But then you see a bird 7x your height that doesn’t fly, starts running at you and hissing with big claws on its feet.

I own a Dingo, which are incredibly similar to Coyotes - and she has been trained since puppyhood to leave chickens alone. Took a few years but she is now a chicken guardian - not a chicken hunter. I've since turned her hunting instincts to rodents, where she can hunt freely and as naturally as possible; an appropriate outlet!
