Fun fact, samurai used their top knots to hold their helmets steady during action. Also a tip to men who want to have a top knot, do not tie your hair as tightly back as this guy does on an every day basis, it will eventually damage your hair follicles, especially along the front hairline.

is it ok to get an underfade on the sides and back while still waiting for the top part to grow out? my hair reaches to about the bridge of my nose, so not quite where you said to have it. but the sides and back are getting too unruly for me and idk if i can push off getting the sides cut any longer

Mine goes just past my nose too but it's not quite long enough. Also my hairline isn't neat. Barber fucked it a few years ago so I hav some hair growing out a lot shorter than the rest if you get me. Shall in keep shaving that clump of hair or grow it out?

It's grown in now. Still is shorter but flows into the rest of my hair. Back then it was just awkward. I can put my hair in a top knot top.

i never put product in my hair, and it's much longer on top than yours, but now don't have any problems bunning. When it was shorter, it definitely would have been more helpful to put product in it.

+Chaotic Killer Hey there, you can do this topknot even with curly thick hair, to do this you need 6 - 8 inches long hair ( the front of your hair needs to be 7 inch long and it needs to reach the back of your head) find your desired width of your top hair.
