    Water moderately, a little more often in the summer, don't fertilize with chemicals....feed your soil to give it the ability to feed your plants, and yes, direct sunlight.

    When growing from seed, can I start the seeds in June, plant in Autumn, winterize in November, and not kill the things? I am having such a hard time finding information on timing this stuff out. I wasn't able to get my seeds into growing containers and under the lights until this week. Did I absolutely blow it? Obviously, I'm a newbie. Live in Columbus, Ohio - zone 6.

  • @TheRipeTomatoFarms

    @TheRipeTomatoFarms

    4 жыл бұрын

    Great question. When it simply gets too cold, we can move the pots into shelter,... Garage, shed, wherever. Test out different areas. And also try covering with landscape cloth... Often that's enough to take the edge off. Even burying the plants in dry straw can be the difference.

  • @TheRipeTomatoFarms

    @TheRipeTomatoFarms

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hey Norma! I tend not to fertilize any of my plants. My preference is to feed my SOIL which feeds and supports my plants. Strawberries can be heavy drinkers, especially in the summer when fruiting...I say give them a good soaking less often though, rather then frequent little waterings. And yes, direct sunlight...as much as you can give them. They are not shade-loving. Cheers! 🍓🍓🍓
