If you put some dirt in the bottom the potatoes Abita more dirt in to cover it. Then as it starts growing add more dirt around the plant. ( this is called Hillingdon it up) then as the plant grows more add more dirt around the plant . Keep doing yhis as the plant grows you will get a lot more potatoes . Than if you just plant the potato on top! I from Idaho world famous potatoes
