    A way you can stop poofyness is not drying it a lot after showering. Kinda pat it all down a few times then braid it. I'm telling you it helps!!! As long as you brush when you get up in the morning and before you get in the shower. It sounds crazy but it helps!!!!

    +natalie you're not supposed to brush when it's wet, when it's dry that's when it's ok but don't brush all the time, only just to get the tangles out before a hair wash.

    Thank you! I have been doing my shampoo and conditioner on top of my scalp and now I know that for conditioner I have to start at the bottom and work my way up! I also comb my hair wrong! I started from the roots to the bottom! By the way, does it count as combing your hair right after a shower if when I get out the shower I put a towel on my body, go to my room, put on pajamas, and THEN comb my hair while its kind of damp? Please answer, anyone can answer, it doesn't have to be missBRAWR, just anyone. -Kat xoxo

    This is not accurate, what happens when you dont apply conditioner to the scalp..?. You get dandruff, dry, cradle calp, itchy skin mites (feeling like somethings crawling on your scalp) ESPECIALLY if you work out and sweat alot, have thick hair. I know shes just trying to help but news flash, hair grows from the roots not the ends, healthy hair begins at the scalp. The average jane will grow 1/4 inch every month, it wont be as recognizable if your hair is damaged and breaks from the ends. Because shampoo can be your best friend or worst enemy you will want to write this down. Anyone who suffers from greasy hair issues, STOP using just any shampoo, yours needs to be clear. I dont care if it's clear pink, clear purple, you have to be able to see thru it. This is a clarifying shampoo. This goes for everyone, if your hair is growing really slow (or seems like it) you will prolly want to consider removing the blockage from your scalp. Yes, like soap scum, just as over time shampoo will do to your tub, thats also like your scalp, the best way to achieve this is, First you wet hair, Then about a dime size conditioner, rub in both hands and rub it all over your head, Let set 2 mins, then get your shampoo do about a nickle amount in your hand and apply to head as well. Suds should lather quickly, hair should not be rinsed of conditioner. When yr done with shampoo, rinse head real well, then take about a 1/4-1/2 cup of white vinegar depending on length of hair, and slowly pour on to scalp, tilting head slightly back. As it starts to run quickly massage gently into scalp. Once you did your whole scalp and hair, rinse in COLD water. Then towel dry... For those of you with curly hard to manage hair, do the same beginning, condition then shampoo, then rise. Then take 2-4 tblspns of peanut oil, or morr if hairs long, rub peanut oil into scalp and hair, wait 5 mins then take your vinegar and pour it on scalp mix well and rinse with COLD water and let air dry. Viola

    Angela S when you apply conditioner you are only supposed to apply to the ends then let it sit to minutes before massage into the scalp otherwise you will have a greasy scalp so you are technically both right

    It's to keep the split ends tamed. A friend of mine who had long beautiful blond hair up to her lower back had to cut it to her upper back because it was dead. But if u don't have split ends regularly than disregard this.

  • @qtpiefuuurrrever

    @qtpiefuuurrrever

    9 жыл бұрын

    Ignore the other person who replied to you. Hair is already dead as soon as it leaves the follicles in your scalp. Unless you are really not taking good care of your hair (washing it at appropriate times and keeping it secure yet loose during sleep, also keeping the tips from rubbing against rough fabric on clothing, comb it with wide tooth comb and never brush [unless absolutely necessary]) you shouldn't have to get trims every 6 weeks. On average you should only need one probably like twice or three times a year. Sometimes WAAY less than that, like you said yourself. Lol that sounds crazy but it's true...continuously trimming the hair is not going to help growth as you are just constantly cutting it back to the same length over and over again. But if a trim is really necessary, you should make sure it's trimmed to exactly above where the split ends stop!! My stylist cut way too high on my last trim and I've been crying ever since 😩

    There are basic rules that work for everyone yes, but one size doesn't fit all. For example, they say hair burns at 450 degrees. That's on average. Some people can take more, some can take less. I suggest you watch some videos of people who have a similar hair texture as you. Another example, African American texture doesn't get oily on its own every day, nor does it need to be washed every day or every other day... Anyway, that's just my two cents.

    Alisha Cabi have you tried using Argon Oil? I used to have to brush my hair as soon as i got out of the shower just because it was so thick and knotted really quickly, but i started using Argon Oil and just by running it through my hair using my fingers it detangles it a lot and I'm able to wait until its dry to brush it through. Not sure if it will work because i don't have curly hair but thought i would let you know :)

    Alisha Cabi A wood detangling comb, or wooden peg brush (I got mine from www.thebodyshop-usa.com/ ). My friend who has curly hair got me started on them, and they're lovely. The wood has no sharp edges to snag and pull on your hair which is what typically causes breakage.

    Thank you for this! I know my hair is long in my pic, but I actually cut it all off in november into a cute pixie Mohawk. Though I love it, I'm now growing it back out and was looking for some tips maybe I didn't know about. My hair was very long before and I do most things yiu said. The coconut oil is my favorite product in the WORLD! I used that constantly. Vitamins, but not the omega, so I have to get some of those. I drink water everyday all day. Nothing else. And I never comb while wet and I too also used a Tshirt to dry my hair. But I didn't massage, so I need to do that. But you hair is very pretty so I'm anxious to grow mine back out again. Thanks again!

    My hair is naturally curly so it's actually better that I comb my hair while it's wet or damp, preferably with conditioner in it. I never comb our brush my hair when it's dry unless it's straightened, otherwise I'll have so much breakage.

    Hello, I just want to say wow & kudo's to you ! I'm a 52 yr. old mother n grandmother with pretty long hair ( not pretty ! Lol ). This was my first search on you tube regarding hair. Actually looking for ways to wear it up, braided something because of the hotter weather. Your topic caught my eye and watched it first and for someone of younger age I felt you had some wonderful advise about not just hair but, overall health. I tend to take care of everyone's needs before my own but, after watching your video I'm going to try and start doing some of the tips you gave. I feel they were all great and being my age should be doing them already but, not ! So thanks for the inspiration and I look forward to catching some more of your videos. :)

    I actually have been conditioning ALL of my hair, including my scalp and roots. I feel like if I moisturize the new hair coming in, it will look great once that part grows down. My scalp is still not greasy as I only shampoo twice a week.

    I have long baby fine hair that is very wavy and gets very dry. I am Native American and most products on the market don't work on my hair. I will try the coconut oil but I wont put it on my scalp. I have a very sensitive scalp. All the tips were right on but I would like to add some of own tips. After I have washed and conditioned my hair I spray vinegar on my scalp and let it sit while I am showering. When I am done showering I rinse my hair with cold water. This helps my scalp that gets very itchy because I have Seborrheic Dermatitis. So this balances the Ph levels in my hair and removes build up and soap on my scalp that maybe left behind that can also cause itching. Just incase your wondering it doesn't make your hair smell like vinegar. I also put in a leave in conditioner on the ends of my hair after my shower. I don't use a lot because I have very fine hair I don't want to make it oily. I also apply some Proclaim Glossing Polish enriched with Olive Oil while my hair is braided and let it sit until my hair is dry or almost dry then I wear it down or leave it up. I also use satin pillow cases it puts less friction on your hair when your sleeping. I noticed you mentioned the use of biotin and Multivitamins. I would like to add I also take M S M that helps my hair grown and strengthens it. A friend of mine told me it has made my hair a lot thicker and my nails have also improved my nails use to be like a babies nails not anymore . I would like to also add if you have a sensitive scalp try to stay away from scented products for your hair. If you choose to use scented products just don't let it get in contact with your scalp. I lean over and I don't let the conditioner go to my scalp at all and I just only apply it on the ends and rinse my hair with my head hanging down and let the water rinse down toward the drain, One last tip when you braid your hair don't braid it tight that can cause hair loss and also damage your hair!

    Thank you! This is really helpful, I've been wanting to grow out my hair to waste-length for a long time and im barely halfway there- I've been using the shampoo you were actually showing and not using anything but that, thanks for the tips! If I didn't watch this I would've been going crazy with that shampoo- now I think I'll stick with pantene's!
