I love Lily too. To deal with that orange bugs. In early spring, before he bulbs sprouting, you treat the whole place with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in the hardware store, use one cup in 0ne gallon water. Just water the whole lily area with the solution, and repeat one more time in two or 3 weeks later. Good luck
I just watched another video talking about some people don't like Glads because they are a "funeral" flower. My mom loved gardening, she said she'd like to wake up for 1 minute to see all the flowers at her funeral. Great video, makes me wish I'd kept up with the Lilies, I'll be getting some again after seeing yours.
They're beautiful and the white gives some beautiful natural 'light' to the shady areas :)

Beautiful and lovely
Gorgeous! And I admire your dedication to lilies!
The Casa Blanca Lilies are my favorite! My mom used to have many of them, when I was kid, then my family moved to another city... Nowdays I have my own garden and I want to establish healthy flower beds of Casa Blanca Lilies to honor my late mother. Btw, I'm in love with "Moon gardens"!

Holy moly! I normally don't have great success growing lilies, but may try again and follow your fertilizer program.
Thanks so much for a great video, your lilies are gorgeous ! I planted the entire GH Wild collection this spring in our new garden, and many of them are blooming. I also appreciate the Info about how to take care of the pests, with organic treatments!

So gorgeous!
Your lillies are beautiful!
Thank you 😊
Excellent!
So helpful!
I just plant them and they grow, no problem!! Love Lilies!!!!!
Thanks Yuliya for this video. The deer ate all my asiatic lilies a few weeks ago when they were buds and now the leaves are all a mess and I didn’t know why. I will have to look for the red bug next year and spray for them and for deer. Hope the lilies can stand all these sprays. Your lilies look great...I have the same ones. And I love them. Thanks for all the info ❤️
Thanks, Good video, I like all the information!
Didn’t know about having to plant divided plants right away. Thanks as always
Tree Lillies are on my bucket list. Thanks for this good information and beautiful to see,WoW !. I never met a lilly I didn't like. I grow Tiger Lillies from bulbils.
So pretty! My fiancé just got me a bag of the casa blanca bulbs from Costco so planning to put those in the ground in a couple weeks!
So beautiful 🌷💜
I planted 30 lilies white and 2 other colors about a month ago. The green part is growing. Looking forward to see the flower part of it
Lily are beautyvoll. I love Lily.
Gorgeous, gorgeous lilies and never knew they would tolerate shade. You definitely covered alot of good information growing these beautiful flowers. I would definitely like to see a video later on in fall on how to divide lilies. Thank you for all your videos they are a joy to watch.

Is it just the Casablanca that tolerates shade?
Stargazers are my fave!!!
Now I know what these red bugs are called , I had them at my previous house and they ate an Asiatic Lily from top to bottom and left this dark residue behind, however, they don’t bother my Day Lilies , thanks to you I learned something new today about Lilies and yours are beautiful and I will be checking out Costco’s selection next spring
I’ve just planted five Mixed Oriental Lily bulbs this evening, in front of my house (on one side) after receiving my shipment today. I plan to plant the other five tomorrow morning. I put the bulbs in the refrigerator…hope they will be okay until I plant them. This is the first time I’ve actually planted bulbs. Fingers crossed. Your lilies are gorgeous! Thanks for the informative, as well as inspirational video!
I love lillies, I have few in my garden , but the tallest is 4 feet, Yours are beautiful
Nice vid. Must must must look under the leaf for black lavae!
Thnx for all those good tips& information! I'm new to this species, but have been "addicted" so far...growing them in my patio in pots, here in Norway (zone 2) & frost is not usually a problem. So letting the soil dry slightly in fall is good as well as keeping pots sheltered from wet winter conditions. This time i hope to see that they survived.... Regards THA❤
Lost all my lilies to Japanese beetles, very disappointing . Your are beautiful, thanks for sharing 👍❤️😊

Same here. Had to give up growing them 💔
Oh boy Am I a fan. I just may have to join Cotsco to get my hands on those exact lilies. Great info. I have my 1st summer bulb lily & I can't wait to see it(unnamed from The Arbor Day Foundation) And thats just 1😁. I NEED more.💞
Got Casa Blanca lilies at Costco this spring. Very good deal.
I’m a noob, thanks for an informative video.
Great video, very informative! I hadn't thought of changing up the insect treatment. Your garden is so lush and beautiful. Here in California Central Valley it is very hot and once again, drought. I try to plant drought tolerant plants. Can you do a video on fertilization, what you use, how often, etc,? Thanks!
thank you for this video!))
yes my Aunt hates lillies because the association with funerals.....to me it reminds me of Easter time. I find that lillies pair well with beebalm so I planted a stand of lillies amongst my beebalm 'Raspberry Wine'....they bloom at the same time.
Those are beautiful Lillies especially the white ones. I, too, am battling the Japanese Beetle. However, I have a garden for pollinators and do not want to harm any of them so off I go morning, noon and night looking for beetles. Agh.
Is a beatiful flowers l, i like your video
Really interesting
My lilies are amazing. I garden on the Kitsap Peninsula on Puget Sound near Seattle Washington. They grow tall like yours by the second year, Our Walmart and Home Depot sell a variety pack of bulbs. They come with my least favorite orange, stargazer//which are smaller than yours, Red//very nice bold and my favorite the yellow ones that are the biggest boldest yellow flower ever. Oh and the salmony pink ones that are smaller but look fantastic next to the yellow ones. I plant mine in close groups and enjoy when some bend and curve while some stay straight. The Casa Blancas are the last to open. My lilies start in June with the large red ones. Then the multi pack colored ones, along with some salmon colored ones lastly by July 25 the Casa Blancas. Then the Gladiolas take center stage. My bulbs have always bloomed the first year. However they are usually short stalks with blooms that don't last as long. If you are going to cut them to bring in the house, wait until there is a flower open on the bottom of the stalk. Then pollinate the stalk to be cut by pinching the stamen of a different plant and dust the pollen onto the plant you are about to cut. Now go in the house and wait 1 day to cut the lily so the pollen has time to get to the bulb to start forming babies. The unopened flowers on the stem will open as a cut flower, so long as the first flower is open.As cut flowers my stems will last almost 3 weeks. Just water and I pinch off the stamens to reduce the pollen they drop.
Your Lillies are gorgeous. I can’t believe you bought the bulbs at Costco? Amazing. I bet the perfume in that area is divine. I didn’t know about the beetles and I really didn’t know about a lily tree! I can’t believe the size of those you have under that tree. Great video. Tfs. 👏🏻💕👏🏻

I bought lily bulbs from Costco too
Your lilies are very beautiful❤❤🌻🌻🌹🌹
Coffee grinds do work against the lily beetle eggs. I had some 2 years ago & have not seen any since. I also collected them. They really do drop fast at the slightest sign of being near the plants.
So funny about funeral association , where I came from , we use the gladiolus flower for funeral ornaments , and I still have to work to dissociated this impression on me .

I actually like gladiolus in the garden!
Wow! Those are some impressive lilies! I'd really like a video on dividing lilies. I have some lilies my mom planted 45 years ago. They have never been divided. I expect they would do much better if they were divided but I don't really know how to do that.
Oh wow.... U always present really great ideas.... These are terrific🤩I grow Asiatic lily... N it blooms wonderfully every year

Hi Yulia, can you talk about lilies after care in your future video? I'm in zone 9B, my lilies is already bloomed and deadheaded, so I would love to know more about after care :-) Thank You! Love all your videos!
Someone should start a plant trade group. I'd love to trade lily bulbs for sure. My neighbor gave me a few of her plants when she moved a couple of weeks ago. She gave me on I believed was Iris (had the same leaf structure). It just began blooming and it's a blackberry lily! I just love how dainty and small it is! I planted my bulbs this spring and am getting blooms from them all!
Такая красота!!Сколько труда нужно приложить чтобы получить такие высокие ,ухоженные лилии!!!Любим тебя.,гордимся.
bulbs always bloom in the first year. I buy Costco lilies too. fertilize properly, don't plant in shade. I live in Alberta. your problem is shade. your Lillies are tall because they are stretching for sun.

@@lorenville it's not good for 2 reasons. If it gets windy, those tall weak plants will crack, fall over and die. The plants aren't getting the sunlight that they need to produce massive blooms. Sure they'll bloom, but the plant is missing out on energy to make really big flowers. Just saying, my blooms are twice as big as this. Go full sun.
My god I cant believe how tall those are!!!! Wowww
Deer ate ALL my lillies this year!
Not a Lillie fan but the white are beautiful. May have to look for some. 🌸🌼🌺
Wow! In shade? They are beautiful!
I would love to plant some stargazer lillies if they grow in shade!
I have some Asiatic lilies and with all the color varieties it never occurred to me to get white ones! But your Casa Blanca lilies are gorgeous so I may need to get some! I also live in zone 6. I have daylillies that will grow in mostly shade. I had no idea Asiatic lillies will too!
@greatgardensforall

Just a note - asiatics like a lot more sun than the orientals. Also check out Turk’s cap - will grow in shade and native.
The Calla lily is a big funeral flower but I love it
so much useful information! I didn't know they handled shade either. Do deer bother your plants? Mine have been eaten before I could see any blooms :( Now that I know they handle shade ok, I might move the lilies closer to the house where deer leave things alone. Thank you!
Oh, my word, Yulia! Those are sooo beautiful! Great video! I’ve seen pictures but never like this! The CasaBlanca is one of my favorites. I have a real problem with my soil! I’m battling with soil with a ph of between 7-8. I have no idea what to do. I just bought 3 cub ft of a really good landscape mix, lots of peat, then 5 bags of Black Cow! Can I put the Cow down first then the landscape mix over it? I have lots lots of dried leaves I try to mix in as often as I can. I use them where they fall in the fall!
How do they perform in the “sun” vs shade? Thank you so much!! I look forward to this next season of videos! 💕😁

I haven’t noticed huge difference but generally you will get more blooms and the plant will be a tad shorter And stronger 😊
Nice to see your beautiful plants, new Subcriber watching full support.
Question - at 4:04 in the video I can see the white lilies and behind Hakonechloa grass and to the left of that another grass that appears to be blue/green in colour--what type of grass is it? Your lilies are beautiful. I love the blended palette and texture of your plants and grasses.
Interested in how to divide lilies - I look forward to that video. I'm new to growing lilies but this year their fragrance in my garden is so wonderful. Question - are your lilies staked? Mine are quite floppy and I feel I need to invest in some kind of stake to keep then upright.
Hi Yulia, your garden is looking lovely. I adore the Casablanca white. Will lily bulbs grow up through a ground covers that grows over the top of the plant for winter interest?
“Have to plant lilies right away when you divide them.” Sure, that’s why they flower only the second year when you plant them in the spring. They have sat all winter in some warehouse/shop. I have tried planting them in early fall and they usually flower the next spring/summer. I guess it’s because they have time to spread their roots and establish themselves well before the new vegetation comes up.

Ya I plant them in pots, get them going under a flowering/growing light to give them a head start. Then plant them before they bloom! I’ve never had to wait a full year to see the flower
I have growing these lilies for over 6 years and this year is the first time I saw these beetles!!! So much damage by the time I realized. I pick them off and use systemic insecticide.
Such a beautiful lily collection! I grow lilies (mostly in containeres) for the first time this year with quite success. I´m gonna go for the Casa Blanca variety next year, it´s such a classic!
I didn't know that lilyes got that tall. What kind of tree is behind your first part of the video. Great job on your Gardens.
I am a lilies lover like you. The trick with soapy water is very good. Me, I take a empty pills bottle with cap. With a small knife I push them in my bottle and put back the cap until the next PEST!! When finish with my quest, I put the beetles in the bottle in the freezer and they dies! So next garbage!
Love your videos! Every year about this time (I'm zone 6b) my gardens look strung out and leggy. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!!
