I have two investor cars in my fleet. One thing to be aware of: some states legally require the registered owner to be present when getting a car out of impound. If a guest gets towed and it's your investor's car, it can become quite a headache. I only take on capital investments now, for this and many other reasons.

Definitely a helpful video, thank you for putting this together. I have 26 cars (all my own) in my fleet. Now I am being approached to manage dozens of cars for other people, which is a big shift from the original plan. The liability and the accounting are my biggest worries. I'm terrible with 'paperwork type' organization!

Did you take on and manage opc's? If so, how is it working out for you? A co-worker of mines has been hosting on Turo for 3 years and has a nice fleet going. Its definitely got me interested.

How do we protect yourself from if you’re running someone else’s car out and he gets in a car accident and now the person you got the car from wants to sue you. How are you protected?

Loved the chat thanks guys! Really curious how you guys handle OPC's with getting paid out and taxes. Is that just a 1099 you send them as an expense and pay taxes based on the gross? How do you manage a 60/40 split when it comes to that.

Aubrey, do you have any videos on typical rev share arrangements? I’ve got 2 vehicles booked out into the future 6 months at a major airport. I live 60 miles away. Not practical for me to manage them, and I just lost my parking/manager. Want to find another turo host already operating at airport and rev share with them. Looking for best practices on that

If you offered on your channel to list other people's cars you might triple your fleet overnight. I bet you could even manage cars outside your state.

How can I find other fleet managers to partner with as an investor?

It ended up being something on there end. They had to allow the cars and then I was able to see the cars on the search results.

Indeed. There’s nothing wrong with Turo per se, but the nature of this business strikes me as somehow exploitative. Like, they would be selling Amway, but this pays better.
