On the note of modern sweet corn, there is also research showing that because of the over use of water soluble fertilizer in farming practices, these types of corn are not as efficient at forming beneficial relationships with fungi and microbes in the soil. This is because in nature, fungi and microbes are what help provide the nutrients the plant needs and if they do not have that need, because nutrients are being provided by highly bio-available fertilizer use, they will not foster relationships with these organisms. So if you are attempting an organic grow operation or even largely organic grow operation, modern corn variants will not have the best results because they were not designed by humans to function in that sort of system.

I'm definitely planning on planting a garden but I really want one more thing to start with and can't decide between chickens, quails or bees. I see you have chicken and bees, witch one is easier for upkeep and to start with? Is there something else you'd recommend starting with outside of the garden?

I really appreciate your guys' channel! I have not grown a three sister's garden yet. But my understanding is that you could plant them together because by nature the corn will germinate and grow to 6 inches tall by the time that the beans start to break through the soil. And, the squash will come up last, and then spread quickly to help keep moisture in the soil and weeds down... My understanding is that the correct timing is in the natural intelligence embedded in the seeds. But I guess your experience is different. Thanks for sharing! 🙏😊
