IMPORTANT NOTE: Please use extra precaution when using scissors as these are very sharp. I usually use my fingers as a barrier between my dogs and the scissors, also if you missed the safety methods that I discussed throughout the video for some reasons please rewatch the grooming part before attempting to groom your own dog. That's how I make sure I never hurt my dog in my years of self-grooming them so you can increase the speed if you prefer but DO NOT SKIP the video. THAT SAID, I've cut my finger a few times with these scissors just because of how sharp it is. It happens not during the grooming process but often when I am removing the fur accummulating in the blending scissors (so basically when I least expected it) so please use a tissue paper or a thick glove to remove the fur stuck around the scissors just for safety reason. I don't want you to hurt yourself!
OTHER HELPFUL PRODUCTS:
Grooming table: amzn.to/3Gq2ukN - If you have a dog that constantly moves around during grooming and attempts to jump down from a table/chair, I highly recommend this grooming table because it has a leash loop to enhance safety and prevent your Pomeranian from falling down when left unattended.

    Nice video! Your dogs are beautiful. As a pom owner, I'd also like to add 1) be sure your dog's fur is completely brushed out and mat-free BEFORE washing. Once wet, mats are MUCH more difficult to get out. 😞 2) Don't brush dry hair. Spray on a leave-in conditioner before you brush and after you shampoo. 3) Be sure the blow dryer is on the lowest setting, and don't keep it too close to your pup, moving it around a lot. ❤

    So you can’t dry brush and you can’t when it’s wet… when/how do you suggest to brush and remove mats?

  • @sheilabradley2892

    @TheHAMMER91 Spray them lightly with a leave-in conditioner and then brush them to remove any tangles, etc. Once tangle-free, they can be bathed. I give them a good toweling off, and then I spray again with the leave-in conditioner before I blow-dry them.

We always try our best to keep it short and edit any unnecessary part out to make our educational videos digestable but certain topics like "grooming" can be tricky to keep it short without missing any important details so it was a real struggle to maintain a good balance in this particular video but we're so happy you noticed our little efforts! If you warm all the products first in a container with hot water for several minutes it helps reduce the stress they experience due to everything being cold. I have a bin and toss everything in it-fill with water and 15 minutes b4 my first dog arrives. It helps them thru the process which can be so stressful for even the best dogs, nevermind the ones that arrive anxious. They love being towel dried and I would like to invest in a heated towel rack, but a dryer would work as well. Great tips-thank you

    Thank you so much! ❤️ 3 months old is the perfect time to start training her to set her up for success later on 💕 I’d say at her age, the best thing you could do is to start touching different places in her body and reward her with treats and praises. And then you can try actually brushing her for a short amount of time and reward her so she can get used to it from young age. Of course puppies will always be puppies and in my video on “How to take care of a Pomeranian daily”, I actually mentioned a helpful tip on how to brush a puppy that moves around constantly 🥰

    Thank you so much! 💕 Having 2 Pomeranians is like double the fun but also double the trouble 😆 If you can handle the trouble such as training 2 dogs, grooming 2 dogs and walking 2 dogs at the same time, I'd say definitely go for it because I think Nala would appreciate a companion ❤️ How does Nala usually do around other dogs?

    Hi! Generally, it's safe to bathe your dog after they turn 8 weeks old! It can be a bit hard to groom a puppy as they will keep moving around but it's something that will get easier with time, practice and constant positive reinforcement ❤️ I do have a video on how to brush a puppy that doesn't like being brushed coming up later today 😜

    I get the process and all.. but.. I've no idea how to do this on my 4 month old newly adopted pom. She is still in her crazy piranha stage. She won't stay still not even for a second. She chews on the brushes and happily chases the wind off of my hair dryer. I'm frustrated with her because I've been trying my best to get her familiar with the brushes & comb for a whole month without any meaningful progress 😞 Maybe it's just me being impatient.. but I'm wondering if maybe you can make a video of how to groom a crazy piranha Pomeranian 😅 puppy

    Have your Pomeranian has shedding around 5 months old ?

  • @CeceFamily

    @CeceFamily

    Between 4 months - 10 months, Poms usually go through their ugly stage so they will look kind of like a monkey before they reach their full adult fluffy coat ❤️ Shedding is part of the process. Other than that, shedding is expected with this breed too! 😋
