He's so freaking good. Even if I am not running a low SP team I feel I can slap him in any team, espicially if N-Faust is in the squad.

In positive SP, he is kinda good(negative coins still mean that you have minimum clash roll of 12 on 2rd skill and 18 on 3rd skill), but doesn't deal a lot of damage, because most of the time, he has just 1 coin left after clash. However, if things start going wrong, he becomes a killing machine, that makes up for weakness of other identities in low SP. He can benefit any team if you know how to handle him

Yeah, he functions best as a generalist, especially against enemies who ramp up their SP way faster than you.

Negative coins are so powerful because you don’t lose clashing power when you lose a die Instead you technically gain it. This makes it so strong ‘oh enemy has very high one die roll, just make sure we have enough coins till it rolls tails’

Support passives Discounting universally good passives like seven yi sang, g corp outis, etc. LCB Yi Sang - Good sp battery if you find you’re having trouble keeping sinclair’s sanity drain in check N corp don - 10% dmg on fanatic, what’s not to like N corp heathcliff - +1 nails applied to highest speed. Actually not great with sinclair, but goes crazy when it hits on Faust N corp meursault - Amazing power and fanatic buff if you have a way of consistently triggering it LCB Hong Lu - alternate sp battery, uses up that precious Hong Lu slot though R ishmael - Pretty much will always trigger on Sinclair. Free 10% damage buff, awesome. R heathcliff - Lots of pierce in nail comps to make use of this. Lands on faust pretty often.

Not that it's optimal, but I've actually been having a lot of fun running less than full comps like Nfaust + Ndon and spam lifetime stew, or doing solo runs with Nclair or Ggreg. The fun part about solo Nclair is that you don't even have to care about friendly fire and trigger that ego corrosion as much as you want.

Solo N corp Sinclair is fun but problem with that is you need to kill something otherwise you'll suffer 10 bleed stacks.

Another comp I find Sinclair Working REALLY well with is the N Corp Liu Team. Bring N Corp Sinclair and N Corp Faust with all of the Liu bros and you are met with a lot of surprising synergies: Lot of Lust, meaning that you have an ample supply of SP gain in case Sinclair starts to lose it. Sinclair synergizes strongly with the other Liu team due to his innate burn. Him along with the bros can stack some nasty high levels of Burn Dot. Plenty of Wrath, meaning you will be able to set up Sinclair's passive almost instantly. Lots of resources to freely generate Faust Fluid Sac and Sinclair Impending Day. It's a genuinely awesome comp that I ran the Railway with and managed to get 116 with them. It's really strong and Sinclair just pulverizes enemies that the Liu bros otherwise could not.

That's awesome! I do agree that they have a lot of marginal synergies like the lust resonance that really elevate the comp. Also once more powerful burn units come out, I do think it'll be a staple in the comps I run just because I find burns ability to stack consistently really fun as opposed to bleed which can fall off when there's too many clashes.

Minor mistake, but Chef Gregor was actually he first to have varied growth value; you may have meant to say first 000* ID.

It's also kind of hilarious to pair him with NFaust, and the rest of the Liu. Honglu, Meursault, and Gregor. It's not exactly optimal, per say, but fight a huge-HP abnormality and watch yourself wrack lots of sick burn. Like. 89 burn for 4 turns kind of burn.

If we count the Fragile Quick Suppression can self inflict, it still deals more damage at 6 or higher speed compared to Self Destructive Purge, but what can I say besides, just use both.

very true, I was debating how to compare the two since if I included fragile stacks, then I'd have to add that if sinclair has fanatic, it beats out quick surpression with fragile by a little and the script would get too long. So I just ended up going with base damage.

@@StraisinLCB Thing is, the Fanatic is practical. *But* You need to use his S1 in the previous turn and have the second coin flip tail, which you might not be able to just do, Quick Suppression just *has* that built it, the only requirement would be just our local trigger finger at 6 or higher speed and have ammo, but yeah, it would kind of get convoluted, so I guess it would be for the best that it was left out of the video. Buuuuuuut I wouldn't mind a follow up video dedicated to talk about our currently available big damage skills, like Rip Space, Quick Suppression, Self-Destructive Purge, I Can Cook Anything and so on, how practical to have them deal near maximum damage, and how easy it's to set-up with a fully grown account.

for sure, I highly recommend it if you like any of Project Moon's games

I guess I will give my two cents in since I have been testing him a lot. Because N Clair has more Fanatic Synergy then Nails Synergy I find that the N Corps are not all the best partners. I like N Don in Stew teams and Whistles from Faust are good if you want it, but there are other ways to manage Sanity. Funnily enough I think if Distortion based team comps become more meta tanks like Meursault rise in priority because its gonna become really hard to kill them in friendly fire. Fluid Sac Faust Distortion if it friendly fires on to Sinclair lowers his SP by 20 so consider then if you need it. Considering Non-Distortion Fluid Sac Faust heals SP it can be very useful to bring with you. Specifically Liu Hong Lu having the same colored skills on his 1, 2, 3 is really good to pair with N Clair. Getting the Burn Count up from his Wrath Passive, getting N Clairs Sanity down in half the time, and if you use Land of Illusion Ego from Hong Lu you can micromanage N Clairs Sanity using Gloom which between the two of them is half their skills. Sanity Management becomes also really easy if use LCB Yi Sang on the Bench so much so that whistles isn't necessary as long as Gloom is coming from some other source then Sinclair. In specifically Burn centric teams with N Clair I think you honestly only need Liu Hong Lu for Burn Count (and maybe N Don if you want to use Don Stew) and then I would bring anyone else who EGO burns, Ardor Ishmael can work specifically Shi Ishmael if getting hit by friendly fire distortions can be a positive, or Ryoshu who has base ego and Fourth Match Flame to provide raw burn.

@Pigeon Dungeon oh yeah no problem, I do think the game is a bit vague about illustrating how growth levels work (as in they don't at all) but if a skill has, say, 0.86 growth rate that just means it gains that much offense level every time the sinner levels up 😗

You forgot to mention that he has one of if not the highest offensive level values on his skills. You often get at least +1 coin power in clashes, especially now that the level cap was raised and his skills have 42, 43, 44 offensive level respectively which is pretty insane. What the hell can even clash with Ninclairs 34 coin power S3, my man would demolish EGOs

Its weird, idk if its just me being crazy or what, but it seems like N Faust inflicts 7 sanity loss on him when SHE goes... thought i saw it in the mirrored world, but on cursory looks around places, ive not seen any1 else mention it! am I the one losing sanity?

hmm, are you sure that's not just him losing sanity at the end of the clash because he has his passive active? While the wording says "heal 50% less passive" it actually just makes him lose half the sp he gained after winning the clash. I might be wrong, but 7 is a common amount to lose as a 2 hit clash win will regen 15 sp and the passive will take away 7 from that when active.

People who are saying that he is too strong, have never tried playing him actually. He is strong, yes, but not better than R corp Heath, W Don, and chef Ryoshu. They are all capable of doing crazy things, but with big limitations. R corp Heath works only for first 5-ish turns of a battle, then he deals little to no damage W corp Don needs charge, or her 3rd skill is literally harmful to you more than to enemy Chef Ryoshu only nukes already woulded bosses, which means that she needs other strong identities to help her And now Sinclair, who is extremely hard to keep in optimal SP range(because when he is, it's very easy to either lose most negative sp by just doing clash win->stagger-> kill with his 2 or 3, or he can easily corrode which almost never ends well

I’m a bit confused how to keep him on low sanity if I’m honest. It was easier before they reverted the sanity changes but like. Most of the time he wins a clash and then on top of that kills the enemy so that’s like… +25 if not more if he clashes more than once. On top of that if you trigger whispers or nfaust kills with her skill 3 that’s another 10 healed. Granted I’m not exactly running a lot of wrath since I’ve been using KK Hong Lu, 7 outis, the grippers, and n rodion. I’ve been seeing people talk about using the Lou squad since they have lots of lust and wrath but they kind of seem lackluster clashers. I’m having a hard time finding a team that works and fees fluid for ego usage and personal mechanics of the sinners. It’s a b it confusing I won’t lie lol. Granted I did only start the game a few weeks ago so I maybe just don’t have alll the resources yet to really get stuff going

Hm, there was the patch recently that reduced the sanity gain rate for clashes and removed sanity gain from enemy kills so that should definitely help out some. Also, his passive is extremely easy to activate since it just requires you to have two wraths in store so make sure you always have that up, you don't need to run too much wrath for it. If you started not too long ago, I'm sure you'll find a comp to fuel his ego needs for maintaining low sanity eventually soon.

Grip Sinclair is NOT the first ID where all his skills have different growth values: The honor actually goes to Chef Gregor. Where Sinclair is unique is how the unique values are arranged.

got a problem with sinclair losing to much sanity? ever heard of just removing his ego? between a probably dead team-mate that if he dosnt die from sinclair will cause sinclair to gain so much blead that he probably dies too, and a possibly dead sinclair cause he panicked, i know what devil to pick but my main issue is more that sinclair dosnt lose enough SP, one main problem is that my sinclair is lv30 and you gain more SP if you kill enemies with higher LV, wish is prety busted for a lot of ID's, just be slightly under leveled and boy are you gona gain sanity fast

yeah I feel you, especially in mirror dungeon it can be hard to keep his sp down sometimes..

this might be a "hot take" but out of all my experience using him (mirror dungeon, story content, refraction railway, etc...) i find myself not using nfaust, or other n corp members with him. now dont get me wrong- he is absolutely made in mind with n faust (he even has a special interaction if you activate her passive) but for me personally- she heals too much of his sp. sinclair does not want anywhere near above 15 sanity, and generally favors being around 0 to -20 at the very least. one time i almost lose a battle because faust healed him so much he reached 45 sp. like some people pointed out, hes good at any team comp, and ive been just using him with other heavy hitters like w don, r heathcliff, wakashu hong lu and clasher seven section outis. he runs well, his sp isnt hard to manage, he deals already absurd amount of damage without fanatic or nails and the only time he ever corroded on me is when hes actively fighting enemies that drain your sp (read : papa bongy). so, i feel like if you dont have n faust, his sp mechanic isnt too much to worry about so long as youre careful.

Hm I agree that a lot of faust's sp gain sources, like the sp gain on kill effects or whisper, aren't really as consistent as I'd like it to be to use to control sinclair's sp status and often just serves to heal him out of that sweet spot. It really depends on the type of content running as it can be overkill in modes like mirror dungeon where there's plenty of enemies to gain sp from by killing, but can be very valuable against some of the tankier railway bosses as you'll be gaining a lot less sp through kills. Unfortunately, due to how important it is to match attack types and resistances for fights in content like railway, it is currently definitely more optimal to just stick top tiers that are strong against or resist the enemy's resistance/attack type. I regret not driving that point in harder in the teambuilding section and making it seem like full n corp is the way to go. Those units just had the most synergies with sinclair so I wanted to highlight them. Anyhow, I appreciate your detailed input :>

I hope my guide didn't come off that way, I do feel like I could do a better job setting the tone in the teambuilding section to clarify that he is a great unit by himself first and foremost and top tiers just kinda work well with each other for the most part. Honestly if you calendar a teammate with blunt resist, that's still a free 3 power buff the turn after lol.

I've been in sorta the same boat. I've been running him with the burn bros along with his pizza cutter ego and either 3-star ryoshu. Rather than managing his sanity, I simply rock out the corrosions- the burn boys are all ineffective to blunt and tend to just survive it anyways if it hits them; and now he's powered tf up to make up for his 0 sanity rolls. I try to save EGO resources (which you get a ridiculous amount of from this team) and Skill 3 for after the corrosion to quickly rack him back down to decently low values and keep the cycle going. The amount of damage a +3 strength N Corp Sinclair does with Skill 2 is simply unfair lmao

Thank you this comment really help my tought for days, i know its been 4 months but im a new player and just played for around 3 days currently on 3-19. I really love playing N sinclair, his sound effect is just satisfying. I don't have N faust and many people said he have to get paired with N faust. Actually that's fine but the main problem is N faust doesn't appear in shard exchange somehow

If only we get a system of EGO Gift drops that we can equip on our sinners And then there's one that kept the user from hitting -45 SP lmao, that would be really good for Nclair

About that EGO gift drop to prevent Sinclair dropping to -45 sanity as an idea... Doesn’t Yi Sang’s base identity passive help Sinclair with that? For owning 4 gloom he heals 10 SP at the end of every turn which to me sounds like he can help Sinclair pop up without fear of running to 45 sanity since AT THE END of a turn it provides him 10 SP back so he doesn’t corrode in the next turn.

He will corrode even if he heals sanity afterwards. So unfortunately, Yi Sang passive won't allow you to sit at -45 sp all the time and heal him out of corrosion range every turn as fun as that would be. :c

Impending Day corrosion provides 3 Attack Up for 10 bleed on failed kill, and is semi-targetable by top/bottom skill. 1:23 Sinclair can be compared more easily to using the LOWERCASE skill charts, which is more effective estimation than looking at skills imo. 2:15 Fanatic is really not that important imo. 2:55 this is not true because of negative coins, the specific values are important. 3:18 also not true because of negative coins, the specific values are important. 4:09 oh no, N Corp doesn't support burn. But why running N Corp team? probably should specify skill raw instead of damage, there is no complete damage calculation here. 4:38 I doubt +10% dynamic is going to be the deciding factor to use Sinclair. 6:22 why recommending N Corp??? Just run N Faust, RB Ryoshu, Tingtang Hong Lu, R Heathcliff, N Sinclair as a generalised team composition. 6:38 if N Corp, just don't run N Rodion. 2nd lowest HP (141, N Faust 134), highest stagger (70%), 2nd lowest defense (30, N Sinclair 28). Only slightly better average clashing than N Meursault, but lower max flip. 6:45 N Faust is not even necessarily helpful to N Sinclair, SP gain can often be a liability and inconsistent to trigger (whistles/whispering can be triggered for N Sinclair whether Faust is on team or not anyway) and Nails and Fanatic are really not that important. 7:10 highest speed ally inflicts +1 nails, so good. Idk why you are comparing them to R Heathcliff, this isn't even recommending R Heathcliff as it's about 5/6 N Corp team. 7:59 N Rodion has terrible clash values. 10:01 actually the SP costs are listed on their page. Lifetime stew 15 SP, 20 SP on Corrosion/overclock. Lifetime Stew is really bad lol. Impending Day is much better usually.

First of all, thank you so much for watching my video so carefully and making all of these points. I appreciate that you took the time out to write this out and will definitely be considering some of the points in my future scripts. I don't have the time to respond to all of them separately but I will give my thoughts on a few. One of the big points of contention seem to be "why run n corp?" I included an n corp section as a primer for people that want to run n corp as the units work well together. You will not always be able to take the same optimal 5 team members into a map (for example, maybe you're picking a unit in mirror dungeon and the only uptied id available is n corp meur) so it's good have some amount of knowledge on other units. I already included a more optimal team composition filled with the exact units you talked about so I'm surprised you missed it. It's just there's not too much to go over without making separate guides for each character since they're "just good". Also on the point on 4:09, I do specify that this comparison is without multipliers. Perhaps I could've worded it better to say that quick surpression was also considered without multipliers. I'm not going to argue with you on the subjective points as some of them don't really make sense to me, but you're right I did make a mistake on not saying Lifetime stew has 15 sp cost. I'll make a note on that.

To be honest N Corp is a pretty natural thought in my opinion because like. Who isn't going to want to bring a full N team into a mirror dungeon or something? I always like to go for matching teams like that, it feels satisfying.
