    It is very important to almost kill the bass on the EQ! If you just turn down the bass a little bit and turn the other one up, the basses are crashing and it doesn't sound clean.

    Not always sir. Pay attention to DJs when the do double drops, lots of times they leave some of the bass to mashup with the other track according to intensity

  • @vanessaviola1648

    @vanessaviola1648

    You only need to turn it down if there’s constructive interference (audible crashing) otherwise sometimes you want to keep both especially if switching between tracks

    you can also use a high pass filter to only kill sub bass (the low EQ might kill more)

    how do you select the next tracks so fast?. is it because their in a cue list? if you were just going freestyle would you need to actually use the computer and mouse etc.. unless your controller is set to go through crates the same as using pioneer equipment. I been mixing on and off 20 yrs on vynil and dvs is good but the using if the mouse kinda sucks. but I guess you just cue your crate? is this correct?

    Can anyone tell what he's EQing at 5:17 to drop the edge off the right deck and prevent the vocals from being drowned out? It looks like he's bumping the highs and lows up and cutting the mids, but that doesn't really make sense to me so I must be missing something

    Ayy huge love thank you! So it can depend on the track and what I’m trying to do. If I’m simply switching the drop then I will do that after 64 beats. The only time I will mix a track in after 32 is when I’m double dropping two tracks as I may do this 32 beats in as 32 beats isn’t long enough for you to bring the track out as the drop has only been playing for something like 22 seconds. Hope that helps ma bro👊🏻 much love once again

    Loved your recent mixes man, have gone back to some theory and really keen to see some more of yours. Do you think you can show us some more of your transitions of your mixing. Your tutorials are great 🤙🏼. Also is there some definate do nots in DJing DnB? Or asking as it sounds good to you that's all that matters?

    Big ups bro 🤘🏻glad you’ve got back I got he mixing 👊🏻 I’ll do my best to get more tutorials on the channel - however having just got my 3rd deck I’ve had to push it back slightly to practice 3 deck mixing in my double after to double style - In terms of do nots I’m not gonna say there aren’t any but I’m not gonna say there is either as what may be a do not to one person may lead to a discovery of something not done before so it’s a real toss up however it’s a very good question! I would say like you’ve already said, go with what sounds good to you for sure as it will keep you mixing however still be sure to take constructive criticism and use that to influence your style 👊🏻

  • @MedicineDNB

    Big ups mate glad you liked it 👊🏻 fully understand what you mean and not all the time will the track start on beat. Sometimes you may find something like a riser placed before the track starts. Best way to check this is to use the loop feature and skip across in 8/16 or 32 bar sections and see if it takes you to the drop of the track 👊🏻 hope that helped 👌🏻

    Love the simple explanation. Helped a lot. I've noticed some DnB tracks off Beatport are in the 86-88 BPM range and others are 132 BPM or above. Is there an easy way to convert those or do you literally have to recut the grid manually in edit grid mode for each track?

  • @ryanwilliams3578

    @ryanwilliams3578

    If it's 132 it's not dnb, dnb will be 87/87.5 or 174/175, if it's 87 you just hit the x2 button on rekordbox and it'll change it to 174
