I found a original set of 14 inch chrome cragar wheels on the side of the road in the trash the other day. Literally always dreamed of having a set of these wheels and I found them free!! Guy came out ans told me he didn't want to bother trying to sell them and he even gave me the original center caps. Craziest find of my life.

Just don't forget to use a piston stop with the rockers removed on cyl no#1 and verify 0deg TDC on your new balancer is TRUE TDC witch can be done and marked even on a stock balancer. Great video love the build!

Another aspect of importance to what Brad is saying, the cam can have up to 5* of timing disparity from specification just from manufacturing variances, timing chain slack, and sensor read. That is why degree wheels and even hard-marked elements such as the aftermarket damper are good additions to a build that moves away from stock cam selections.

As an addendum to what he's saying after about 6:25, that temp difference he's talking about can also happen sometimes with totally accurate sensors, if they're placed far enough apart. They can absolutely read two different, but in this imaginary case, true and accurate temperatures. This is especially important to watch for on engine swapped vehicles, as components often get moved to different-from-stock locations to help everything fit.

Guys. Most all oil pressure sensor act when the pressure is Zero. Not at 10 or 20 or 5 psi. Means when light goos on you are nearly done.Late for action. So it is always good to have a Buzzer or and a sensor with turns light on at higher pressure. wich i don't know if it is easy to find for any car.

Very nice, and informative, but! For all the rest of the world who are not familiar with US muscle, ans especially LS engines, could you guys make a "brief" video covering the basics of LS-ness ?! I could go on reading about it sure, but information first hand is always the most accurate. Would love to hear Brad and Dan talk about it for 8-10 minutes! Where they come from, what makes them so good, anything unique about them etc. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

You kind of have to wrap your head around the fact that nothing you do has a control anymore . The control is from the computer. The younguns don't understand having control. That is why they are amazed old guys can tighten bolts accurately by feel.no torque wrench needed for most things.
