Do you have suggestions on how to keep your room at the correct temperature and do you have any other recommendations on how to fix bendy resin and holes

Very Cool. I have to ask as I am new to all this. Is there a rule of thumb to wait for different colors to dry before applying another? Meaning like if you don’t get a chance to get back to it for a couple days do you have to do anything special to part that is hard before applying anything over top of that? Hope that makes sense. Thanks.

Hi and thank you for watching and asking questions! No you don’t need to do anything unless the part that is hardened has any dust/debris. You’ll want to wipe it clean and spray a little isopropyl alcohol to ensure cleanliness to prepare for your next layer. Other than that, you shouldn’t need to prep anywhere else. I hope this answers your question!

@@vixenrosedesigns Your So Welcome. Thanks for posting videos. Yes I believe that answers my question. Just wasn’t sure if I can do one part and if I don’t get to the other part for a couple days if it would be ok without having to sand it to rough up the surface so the fresh layer will stick. You do really nice work. Can I ask another question. How do I know how much resin to mix up for certain projects? Is there a trick to come up with that so I’m not being wasteful? Thanks Again! 😊

You’re welcome as well! One trick I’ve learned is to fill your mold with water and measure how many ounces of water fills your mold. Mix together the same amount, maybe a tiny bit more to be sure, of resin and that should work out for you! I always keep smaller keychain or earring molds nearby in case I have extra resin. You could give them away or even make new items to add to your shop if you have a business as well. Hope this helps :)

    Why spritz with alcohol?

The alcohol helps tremendously with any bubbles! It’s safer for the molds than the heat gun so I try my best to get as many out with the alcohol first 🥰

How much does it take to cover just the leaves?
