How to Get Your Curls Back with a Mayonnaise Mask

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We all want to be "perfect" naturals...but to be honest, perfect is just BORING. Being natural is the symbol of versatility, so It's easy to get caught up in the hot tool fast lane. Sometimes our curls react well to unfamiliar manipulation, while other times they refuse to go back to their original curly shape. The best thing you can do to begin the process of reviving your curls is to use a protein treatment. Watch this video to see my method...

This is so ol school but so good for your hair. My mother use to mix regular mayo (not salad dressing) LeKair conditioner, and olive oil. She would Warm it a lil in the microwave and spread it through my hair. Then I sat with a shower cap on for about 1hr. Worked better than anything. I still do a mayo conditioner ever now and again...mom taught me well. Good video

Omg THIS WORKS!!! I flat ironed my hair a couple weeks ago, and noticed that my curl pattern in the front is a little looser than the back. My cousin actually sent me the link to this video.... Giiirrrrrrllllllll I could kiss you!!!! It actually worked. If she didn't send me this link, I was going to do another big chop and start all over again. You are absolutely gorgeous and I laughed throughout the entire video. Im a subscriber now, so keep the vids coming. Thanks for sharing :)

@@khadijasdailyday7189 I would use a mixture of any kind of real Mayo mixed with coconut milk and fresh aloe vera gel. Leave in as long as you can before rinsing. Use the Loc method when styling and do twist outs as often as possible. It sound like a lot but once you get a routine going, it'll become easier. Good luck to you

If u straighten or blowdry your hair, STOP IT! And if u have aan african mom that uses al kind of schampoo's because of her actual african hairtype, DO NOT USE THEM!!! I did do it at à time and My curls became weak and straight. Use schampoo's that repair heatdamage and the ones that are for dry hair, make sure it status moisturized all the time. I was the same back in middle school. cutting it off slowly is the only way to make your hair healthy again. if your hair is damaged or chemically altered, there is no way to magically change it back. you can slowly transition. I would suggest finding hair mask to stimulate hair grown and for every inch of new growth that you get, cut off an inch of the damaged hair. sorry it has to be that way and that you'd have that cut it, but it's better to go natural and learn how to take care of your hair than have long, damaged hair. it will just fall out if you keep it that way

My hair is growing super duper fast , very pretty. But i actually mix mayonnaise with coconut oil, one egg and honey. It smells really bad but it is amaze balls. Yall should try it. It seriously works magic on your natural hair. But unfortunately i dont wanna do the big chop so my hair is half curly and half damaged.

Gurl, I love it. I found you at the moment and step in my natural hair journey. I usually wear my hair natural, but I was feeling some kind of way and knowing what flat ironing does to the pattern of my locks, I did it again. flat ironed my hair. I did the big chop the first time I saw my changed hair pattern. This time I decided to look for a better option to the big chop. I have very fine coarse hair that springs into curls after washing. Very pretty curls. No long dangling curls, just very defined curls that fro out. I was advised to add protein but not told much about where and how. OMG, you are a heaven send. My friend has just started her natural hair journey. I am going to tell her to subscribe to your website. Thank you for keeping it 200%

I recently bleached my hair and was receiving breakage at the slightest touch.. I tried all the home remedies and a lot of them helped a little but not too much.. but when i finally reached out to a professional.. she fixed it... in 5 minutes. you and I have similar texture and I almost cried when I saw my curl pattern again..and it is stronger than before!! no more shower shedding!! (maybe a couple strands) I know that this has worked for you and kinda works for me too.. (and you're right, it did turn my hair orange xD) No hate girl, I love your channel!

you should try it. but like i said in the video, this will not work on damage thats been there for forever. id suggest cutting your ends little by little over time.

I rarely straighten my hair but I did it like a month ago. My natural curl pattern has changed. Like an hour ago, I decided that I wanted to condition my hair with mayo. Watching your video seemed to be the solution to my problem. Hopefully everything will work out. Thanks for sharing.

I want everyone to know this works!! I bleached my hair last week to get blue out, and it knocked my curls out. My hair looked horrible. I tried so many things and saw no results. I really didn't want to cut it because it's already short. And just now I tried this and it put the curls right back in, immediately ! Thank you soo much!!

Honestly I had the same problem before but the only thing I say helps is cutting off those tips . The mayo helps define curls and make your hair soft. Therefore if you'd straighten your hair so much where it turned straight at the bottom means your have no curls and it can't define that . Just make sure you start giving your hair trims every 6-8 weeks and stop straightening your hair it's killing your curl pattern !

Woah, I think this is the first diy hair mask that gave me such good results that I felt the need to leave a comment! My hair is naturally curly, but lately I went back to using flat iron or braiding it before going to sleep. I was quite tired of it and wanted my volume and curls back. When I tried to, the results I got were horrible - there were a few nice curls, but most of them were just waves or weird curls (the ones that curl in one direction then there's a wave and the end is curled in different direction(??) I hope you know what I mean). I used other protein mask I bought, but it didn't work at all. Decided to try this and after rinsing mayo I used a deep conditioner and now my hair is still wet, but I can see the difference! All the curls are nicely curled. I really recommend this protein mask, holy shit.
