A common problem with volumizing thinner hair is that when its styled up into a certain desired shape, there are unflattering gaps between the strands of hair of which light passes through, and it especially doesn't look nice when the back of your head is facing a light source. Is there any haircut or styling tips that could maybe remedy that?

Great vid and tips! My issue is I've always had very straight fine hair, always rely on hair product to make it stay when styled. My problem is any hair product I try makes it look flat, I think it's that I'm putting it on top and weighing it down. I'm going to experiment with blow drying it into place.

@@zincky2433 Hi, yeah just a little heat protector product then blow dry it into place and you're good to go. After awhile your hair just kinda goes into that position naturally. I think I have a different hairstyle to last year, so I wouldn't use much product anyway.

This was helpful. I've changed my hairstyle ever since last March from a short crew cut fringe to now I'm going for a thicker and longer fringe sort of like side emo swoop style. I'm having trouble with thickening my front bangs while my sides and back are shaping out good. I've researching online reading articles and watching your videos on tips and techniques to use since I've never had a thick hairstyle before and found my stylist tells me sort of the opposite virus what I've read or watched online. I've had the same stylist trim my hair for a very long time and up until now I don't know if I need to listen to her advice or to venture out and try things on my own but I'm inexperienced when it comes to hair and products for hair. I've been having my stylist trim my hair about every 8 to 10 weeks to let it grow out but going on for almost a year now my front has grown longer but doesn't seem to be as thick as my sides and back. Also my hair tends to get oily and greasy quick especially after the second day after showering. My scalp has also been very itchy after about a day of washing and I'm wondering if its because my scalp is getting dried out over time? Also my stylist recommended to me to not use a conditioner and only a shampoo product and to wash every night since I have oily hair. So my question is would a conditioner be beneficial and help my parts of my hair not growing as good as other parts? Sorry for the long comment but would like to know what you or anyone thinks would help.

When people talk about wanting more volume/thickness, its not necessary mean wanting the hair to curve up like shown in this video. But rather when the hair lying flat, they are piling onto each other to create more thickness, that's the volume we are talking about. Or at least that's the problem I am facing.

@@taqoe6430apply the products and either push your hair down how you ants it to set with your hand and let it air dry, or blow dry it while holding it how you want it to set. If you air dry you’ll have to keep correcting it until the products dry.

Is it possible to get my hair to be thick again? My hair was always thick and easy to style. All of a sudden from one day to the next it just became very thin. Like if I wet it or put gel on it it would just go completely flat as if the water or gel weighed too much. Well I mean your hair won’t stay wet forever just by putting water in it. But if your hair feels dry in general maybe use a different conditioner

I’m 18, I have a natural side part that leads into a very thing spot in thr left corner of my hairline, why do I have a thin patch in my hairline? (Only on the one side, not present on right)

I don't know who to ask so I was really hoping to get help here. My girlfriend is in her mid 30s and she got a haircut like 7 years ago and her hair hasn't grown even a little bit since. And i know it wasn't the haircut that did it. She straightens her hair with a flat iron straightener and blow drys it daily every single day without fail. Her hair feels very coarse to the point where it feels fake. I think she killed her hair completely and I want to help her if possible but properly. Is there anything she can do to fix it at this point? Please any help would be great.
