Some of these new bottle quests are ridiculously overpowered. I found one floating near a barrel pole that had 3 maps, all on small islands close to each other, with about 14 X spots. Every single one had either a King’s Chest or Grog Chest, while sold for a TON of money as a gold hoarder (about 105k at grade 5) and only took about 20 minutes to do.

Good! They should be rewarding like that. It incentivizes players to actually do them now, rather than them just being something players glanced over.

Damn, and I thought my bottle quest with 6 Kings and two Grogs was impressive.

While I think this update is a step in the right direction, I still believe that the voyage system needs work. The core gameplay loop is still the same, and needs more variety. Hopefully that comes with the next seasons!

They mentioned this was the last update to change core mechanics, I think they'll focus on adding new voyages, treasures, places of interest, tall tales and more in future updates

@@whiteperson1742Dunno about new voyages but I’d love to see some kind of new Cursed Loot. Maybe even something along the lines of PotC’s Cursed Gold. Turns the crew of the ship the Cursed treasure is on to become skeletal in the dark, deal increased damage but maybe take slightly more damage? Or the other way around. Idk I’m not a dev xD but something with that general idea would be cool.

My first wreck in the new update had 3 king's skull pink aura waddyacallit and a 5 tier king's chest and an ashen 5 tier king's chest. It took me 5 minutes, the highest money/time I've ever had in the game, these new treasures are awesome

That costume goes really well with the Gold Curse. You can effectively expand the gold curse, since the arm is "cursed" to be the full gold/emerald look (like we see with the Gold Hoarder himself and the gold hoarder pets)

You can get a chest with three little crowns in from the bottle quests riddles too

I did find a skele captain who dropped 1.2k gold in a single pouch, and his dig led me to a storage crate that had cooked food and 2 curse balls! Looks like curse balls have also become slightly easier to come by from emerging encounters like skele ships as the storage crate of one that attacked me had a ballastball in it. Maybe I was just extremely lucky but still, was interesting to find.

Very good to know about the shores of gold voyage for emissary quest. Will save plenty of time, thanks to Phuzzy and his chat, I’m getting lvl 100 tonight

If you get a bottle leading to a shrine with a breath of the sea, will there be kingly loot down there as well?

I know technically little new content was added, but the added variety we have now because everything is worth doing makes the gameplay I find myself doing way easier, which is real nice.

What voyage(s) is best for getting level 5 with gold hoarders quickest?

I just found a random treasure map on mermaids island that took me to picaroon which had 7 of these kings chests on it... nice surprise. Looks like I wont just ignore those anymore. Very good changes.

If you look at the Captaincy milestone for Treasure Sold to the Reapers's Hideout in game now... you can see there's also a listing for selling a Commander's Chest and Lord's Chest.. Those are likely the two other chests in that photo to come in a later release.

I got 8 max tier kings chests from 1 bottle at Paradise Spring. Thats insane!

I find 1-3 king's at every random shipwreck I dive. They're usually a mix of regular and ashen variant. Only once did I actually get one from a bottle msg.

Was this video posted early then taken down because yesterday I was really trying to find it again to watch it and swore I’d seen it on my feed. Now I see it but it was posted 9 hours ago?

How long is the rep gain from 75 to 100?

Did this get changed? Because the xp I got for it at Level 75 was roughly 75% of a level, still a lot but not 2 levels. Is this because I'm not back to level 1 with a prestige? I'm not too sure how the levels work with the new prestige system is it back to being easier to level again one you prestige.

What ship set is that?

last night I found a map with 9 digs 8, king chests and one everlasting sorrow. The other map from ashen island quest gave me ashen island dig with 4 ashen king chests.

Rip Gilded Voyages, Yeah that was my same reaction when I realized they didn't stay

While the quest table changes are debatable, the king's loot breathe new worth to do bottle quests and stop for sunken ships. Before it was optional to make those stops, but now It makes me excited to know that every stop is an opportunity for more loot and emissary value that's worth the gold and rep. It's a step in the right direction imo, now all we need is to finally bring Flameheart back into the game and wreak some havoc. I really, REALLY hope his return is as impactful as the devs claim it to be.

One way find shipwrecks easy is the reaper chest that spawns out in the water also island hopping is definitely worth doing I played for 2hrs and made about 300 k off of kingly chests and skulls from captains

Skeleton forts are crazy for earning money now! You get so many great quality skulls that you make A LOT of money. Just get that OoS emissary flag and fast travel.

Quick question. Will all of these variants (including grade 1 etc.) go towards the ‘treasures fit for a king’ commendation?? Just wondering because this makes it all 10x easier for me lol

I don't understand why they would limit the cargo runs to 4 crates, along with decreasing the loot pile in the captain's quarters on lost shipments

ashen kings being barely a step up from regular is a huge nerf though, ashen loot before the update was double the value of regular loot so in time this will make people have even less reason to go to the Roar.

Yeah, these golf hoarders emissary quests are insane i just dive to the roar in the start and just get to grade 5, and not a soul will bother you cause you're so out the way.

Can’t wait to eventually steal a boat load of these chests

They do. I did the OoS voyage, and the equivalent are the skulls with the same color palette (I forget the name) that you get from the emissary quest, some raids, and shipwrecks. The merchant equivalent is a crate of diamonds.

I am looking for shipwrecks since launch and does anyone know where to find barnacle chests anymore? I think fleet event is the only option now, right?

Yeah it's a setting you can turn on somewhere. Supposedly it makes it easier to find where it is

It’s the “high contrast x marks the spot” setting in accessibility. Funny enough Phuzzy has a video on that too. Something like settings to help your game or something like that

I did a GH Emissary Quest day 1 of the new update and can confirm they're worth it. Went from 75 to 80+ after a few Kingly Chests an r the Emissary Quest Chests. I'm imagining that Order of Souls will be similar in their Emissary Voyage. As for Merchant Emissary Voyage, still TBD. Same goes for Athena Emissary Voyage.

Think the ashen king chest looks bad, the burning part looks quite pixelated

To be fair, now it is easier and kinda more fun to get oos loot with the skeleton lord and raid ashen lord

So basically everything I knew about the loot grind I gotta learn all over again awesome .Growing pains just so some people won't be bored

We need new mechanics, more PvP, sea creatures that aren’t boring like the Meg. Why does the Meg have 1 attack, it’s Basically the size of a great white and can just be ignored? It should be massive

getting rid of stacking emissary quests is the biggest fucking mistake they’ve made so far

is it just me or is earning gold kinda pointless after a certain period of playing the game? I have millions and except for supplies there is nothing worth buying for me

Yay more of the exact same stuff 😞...Games become nothing but repetition. Uninstalled last month and dont see this bringing me back. All the best. Its like in my honest opinion is its just too little too late from Rare. They sided with the toxic side of community so long nobody believew them. Games backwards, stealing is way too easy with nothing to lose.
