Man you made Google map look like a toy, that was so cool especially the wind animation

to me it was 6 years ago ;-;

I still remember my dad's red car which is still showing from 2013 without being updated!

satellite imagery no longer supported after january 31 2023 which sucks but still a cool website to know about.

Bing maps is more up to date but Google maps has sharper images. It's good to check both of them, just in case.

How often can I get an updated pic of an acreage? Hourly, every two hours, every six hours, every twelve hours?

Is there a way to compare satellite photos between different dates?

i don't have zoom to centre.. is this a paid version? i don't have half the stuff down that left side as in this video.. and nothing that matches in settings on the right side either... i can't even get a street up

My iPad doesn’t zoom like your computer…what can I do and what hardware and/or software is needed to get those kind of images ?

Great video, while on the road and camping I use Google Maps which shows blue dot as my location. I take a screen shot, at the bottom of screen shot are the Coordinates of my location. I text this picture to family for my known location. Especially if I'm going to explore a location in the back country, and have a signal, sent location to brother.

Do you recommend any pay for imagery tools/sites?

Does Zoom Earth not use Bing maps anymore? I cant seem to zoom in any farther than the live satellite image.

I came across this looking for up to date maps so I can accurately tell delivery drivers how to get to new places as we deliver building materials.

good stuff. zoom doesn't work so well for me though.

how do i get live map want to see if my house is still there in st james. pine island? do i have to click on add for new browser i do not want to do that

I've been trying to find live video feed from a satellite, not the ISS. Does anyone have info on that?

Up to date may be in USA, but not all the world. Two years outdated in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

@sat203 - Your screen looks totally different than mine. On the right side of my screen there is the "cog" wheel which allows you to change settings - including the coordinate system. I don't see the "cog" on your screen.

how get to know the date of images in Bing?

it wont let me zoom in to get detailed maps. did they remove that feature or something?

Google earth maps as of Dec 2021 are more that 25 years old. Was Looking at Germany and that map is still on 1984. So google earth is lying about being current.

I have run into the same issues in Canada, Google just changes the date on the maps but it is the same picture as before,many years before

It's a whole lie. No real "satellite" images. None are current, many outdated which means it's all pictures framed by airplanes but nothing is live because there are no satellites up there!

Are there any LIDAR satalite imagery we can use freely like google and bing maps?

I can't get zoom earth to load street view

I'd guess maybe 1 in a million chance. Sorry about the dog though it depends if you live in a higher populated area that gets updated more often, but there is an extremely low chance you could capture one specific moment on Google Earth

do you know how to use offline satelitte maps. I travel a lot in rural areas without signal and id like to use offline satelite maps for hiking and not to be lost in wilderness.

google maps gives the option to download the part of the earth you are interested to work offline. Look for this option in your smartphone.

All zoomed in photos on these map sights are taken from an airplane. You will never see video slowly zooming in from space to earth. Go ahead and try to find one

It may depend where you’re looking but Google Earth sure has satellite imagery, acquired by Maxar (formerly DigitalGlobe).
