I just did, Creative AI, Glacier, Glacier, Zap, and Dualcast. All upgraded. Only picked up glacier early to stay alive, and then Creative AI at the boss. Turns out it's a pretty good card when it gives you multiple sources of focus and capacitors. Astrolabe'd into second Glacier. Picked up Data disk, and a medkit. made like 1,500 gold that run with an early golden idol and then trading it away too. Got mummified hand and Cursed crown, but wasn't extremely relevant. Final boss was Timeater, so the fight was a breeze.

@@TheDilla Defend+, Eruption+, Vigilance+, Inner Peace+ and Rushdown+. This is an infinite loop where you play Inner Peace and Eruption, get your energy back and draw both cards due to Rushdown's effect. The tricky part was dodging Falling event, cause boy, would I hate spending such a long time trying to get this damn achievement just to get screwed at the very end...

I got the trophy on PS4 some half a year ago with: 2x Defend+, Demon Form+, Bludgeon+ and Shockwave+. I was really surprised that so few block cards got me through Act 3, but I had Snecko Eye after Act 1 and quite often I could play these high energy cards on turn 1, especially that I also had a relic for +2 strength and +10 block turn 1, and an Ice cream relic for conserving unused energy between turns. Also, I got a relic for all removal costing 50 and after Act 2 I picked up +2 str (enemies +1). All in all, I felt very strong and it was a very satisfying run ;) Will try now to get it on PC.

Just got it! Spot Weakness+, Whirlwind+, Defend+, Bash+ and Uppercut.

Also, in act 1 you noted that Shovel was a relic that you could get to help you remove cards, but I'm pretty sure you meant to say Peace Pipe. Just in case anybody in the comments is confused.

Duel wield, dropkick, body slam and 2 defends. You might realize that there is no vulnerable to infinite with, and that is because I lost my bash in the falling event and had to improvise with a fear potion and abacus+body slam to kill time eater before they could heal.

My minimalist challenge was completed with the watcher. Relic: Violet Lotus Cards: Eruption, Vigilance & Rushdown The moment you get this deck down to 5 cards, you have an infinite combo.

Brainless strat for Watcher: Skip every card except Fear no Evil and Rushdown, upgrade Eruption. That's all you need.

Thank you ! I did it first try even tho i didn't get fear no evil, I had the relics that makes getting out of the calm state give you 3 mana so i could just infinite combo with eruption and vigilance. Full hand was eruption, rushdown, vigilance and the two other dont really matter you just have to not play them otherwise it might fuck your draw partern.

Thank you this worked for me except I lost Fear no Evil so I took a pressure point instead. It ended up amazing because I could play pressure point twice a turn. I destroyed the last boss in a like 4 turns. I had to restart for probably 4-6 hours before I finally got some runs with rushdown and fear no evil in them.

Scrape, Hologram, Streamline, Claw, and Recursion - all upgraded. Being able to play 13 cards a turn from a 5-card deck was great. I'd been trying this with Ironclad, but after you talked through your Defect run it gave me a few different ideas. Thanks!

Just got it! Doom and Gloom, Darkness, Glacier, Capacitor, Dualcast. After trying for this awhile I found going to as many events as possible helped a lot for removals and gold.

I got my first minimalist win with Searing Blow+11 and offering. Destroyed woke bird without touching the cultists, was super fun!

Thanks for your videos; I've learned so much about this game! Got this with 1 Vigilance and 4 Pressure Points. I was down to 4 cards until I got offered a fourth Pressure Points as a card reward two floors before the Time Boss. 2nd turn kill. I also got the Common Sense and Transient achievements. This was the 1st time I had killed him before he faded, and I did it twice in the same run. Keep up the great videos. I'm excited for your channel. It's really taking off.

Watching this video before attempting the achievement seems to have served me well, got it on my 2nd try using Ironclad (and got damn close on the first). My final deck was Bloodletting+, Cleave+, Bash+, Rampage+, and Shrug It Off+… with a decent amount of help from Unceasing Top.

Love the twitch channel and thanks for the awesome guide! First try with Zap, Auto-Shields, Streamline, Claw, and Scrape.

Just got it after 4 tries thanks to the guide! I had a floor one pressure points so I decided to go into that direction. Unfortunately I didn't find any other pressure points for the rest of the run. I did however got a swivel/ragnarok from pandoras box and combined with an akabeko helped me smash through hallways and even elites. Loving the content and excited for more. Thanks Baalor! Thanks for the tips! Finally got it along with Common Sense (unintentionally). Hologram+x3 and Claw+x2. Only had a handful of relics due to skipping Elites - I think the only essential one was Peace Pipe.

I watched this last night, and felt inspired to try today. I got it yesterday on my first try with Rainbow+, Compile driver+, Charge battery+, Recursion+ and Defragment+. It was very effective, I had doubts, but it worked really well. Thanks for the guide.

Got it with searing blow+9 and double tap, had some nice relics like bag of marbles and bronze scales which helped me beat an otherwise unwinnable darklings fight. Love the achievement guides :D

Literally just finished a run with this same build! I didn't have the same relics though and almost got stumped at a mob of darklings. Luckily, I looked through my relics and found I had one that dealt 5 damage to all enemies for every 3 skills played. Was able to Defend+ into Shrug it Off+ and then draw/play the Defend+ I just used to get the activation and slowly burn them down. From there it was smooth sailing with the Time Snail boss for Act 3!

The swag play on the next-to-last turn skipping auto-shields to distill more claws while generating exactly 40 block at the end of the turn to take 0 dmg. Beautiful mastery, my lord!

Thank you so much for all of your youtube videos. I was able to get the minimalist achievement with Defect with Claw\Claw+\Hologram+\Zap+\All For One. Defeated Awakened one by playing 5 claws and 2 zaps per turn with a fairy in a bottle, a strength pot, and a Memory pot.

Fun challenge! Managed it with Bash+, Pommel Strike +, Impervious +, Power Through+ and Body Slam +. Had a medkit to remove the wounds from power through and prevent enemies spamming with statuses. Managed to perfect Time Eater with the help of Paper Phrog and Champion's Belt making the Bash+ OP.

I've actually managed to do it with Ironclad, ended with Uppercut, 2 Shrug It Offs, and 2 Dropkicks, luckily my run ended with Donu and Deca instead of Time Eater or else the run would be over

I finally did it ! Your video helped me a lot. I started with transform 2 as defect , got Multi-Cast and Hello world. I ended up with Multi-Cast + , Doom and Gloom, Reinforced body + , Go for the eyes + and a defend. Was lucky enough to find a membership card to afford the removals. The fights were pretty easy towards the end as I could just stall with go for the eyes and reinforced and finish with a big multicast on a Dark Orb , took me about 10 tries to get the achievment tho.

Thank you for the video pretty much using same with maybe a card difference setup i was able to get minimalist and common sense achievement at the same time.

Got the Minimalist award after 5 or 6 attempts after watching your video - won with Ironclad ; Defend+ X 2, Shrug it off+, Bodyslam+ x 2. I had the Shapes as the final boss and was able to get enough block a turn to mitigate most of their attack damage and hit them for a decent amount each time.

A fun combo for watcher is; Eruption+, Vigilance+, Rushdown+, Deus Ex Machina+ and Conjure Blade+. You are guaranteed to draw Deus Ex Machina which adds 3 extra miracles to your hand for a total of 4 (assuming you kept starting relic). With this and maybe an extra energy from a relic, you get a 1 cost Expunger worth 8x5 or 9x5, or 6/7x5 if you needed to Vigilance on turn 1 to block damage. The Expunger generally ends up being worth more due to strength and rage stance. You also play Rushdown so your collective hand, draw and discard is just Eruption, Vigilance and Expunger. From there you can play Eruption > Expunger > Vigilance as many times as you can in a turn, either once or twice depending on energy relics, and Expunger does a solid 150 per use. It's a lot flashier and quicker than the Feel No Evil infinite.

Ended up accidentally doing it on The Silent with: Neutralize+, Heel hook+, Prepared+, Reflex+, Tactician+ Managed to find a peace pipe which helped me get rid of a couple of unnecessary cards I added early to get through elites

Same build but with (All for One) instead of (Hologram). Did it on the first attempt, awesome strategy you had!

Thanks for this video! Just got the achievement on my first try with the Defect, with Defend+, Zap+, Streamline+, Scrape+ and Reinforced Body. I couldn't find anything better than 2 Defend+ cards in the entire run, then I hit the Falling event on floor 48 (foolishly didn't listen to your advice) which cost me one of the Defend+. But I had Dream Catcher and the RNG was kind so I picked up Reinforced Body at the last rest before the Awakened One.

i did it with choke+, blade dance+, neutralize+, survivor+ and strike+. plus i had a bag of marbles and a ninja scroll meaning i was easily doing over a 100 damage every turn one. one of the funnest challenges i've done

nice one man. I will try it. its a difficult one for sure. Without the autoshield which is pure defense value at 1 cost, and the 2 early claws, i'm not sure what other cards can really replace these for a whole run, cause the scaling from the claws is indeed needed and is relevant throughout the whole run. Also the inserter, the smiling mask and the frost core did insane job on this. Not sure if it would be even remotely achievable without the luck on those relics.

Gave it a try and basically got the exact same run as you except I picked equilibrium instead of auto shields and 3 claws with a hologram. Got pretty close in the nemesis fight as well but everything else was smooth sailing. Almost messed up the run by not ratioining card picks on the first floor but a lucky empty cage helped it succeed!

Ironclad - Demon Form, Necronomicurse, Defend +, Heavy Blade +, Rampage + A lot of growth to help with long fights but I did this with mods on, even though they were only bonus character mods I didn't even get the achievement but it was my second attempt so I haven't truly experienced what pain that would have been

Got super lucky with watcher and got singing bowl (+2 health instead of card reward) and teardrop locket (start combat in calm) really early on helped so much

I never understand builds like yours and never saw it on video ever. You are literally doing 50 damage per round tops and get 16 block per turn?

Well, I just got it on Watcher with Eruption, Vigilance, Mental Fortress, Rushdown, and Flurry of Blows. Violet Lotus made it infinite and Sundial meant I could slip the Mental Fortress down and deal with spikers. Since I got Donu and Deca as my Act 3 boss, I also got to knock out You Are Nothing. Good guide. =)

I had 2 Shrug it Offs, with a Body Slam and Bash and probably a defend. I also had a Sun Dial, so I was able to play shrugs until I had 70+ block, then Bash and Body Slam to kill most enemies, and have plenty of block for any that I couldn't.

Just got it thanks to this video. I did it with; Spot Weakness, Spot Weakness+, Armaments+, Heavy Blade, Shrug it off. Got 13 relics of which Peace Pipe, Fusion Pipe, Torii and Self-forming clay where most notable.

Cracked frost orb and the orb generating relic is my favorite relic combo to roll into on defect!

Nice video! I had a really awesome run with this cards: Streamline+, Auto Shield+, Hyperbeam+, Turbo+ and Skim+ It deals around 100 Damage each turn :-)

I had a Pandora's Box silent who ended up reaching minimalist with the act 4 merchant, using a final combo of prepared, reflex+(pre-buff), eviscerate and abacus.

A bit late to the party, but I finished it with the Ironclad on Ascension 0. Searing Blow+9, Thunderclap, Dropkick+, Shrug it off and Defend. It was a very fun challenge

Shrug it Off x2, Necrocurse, Magnetism, and Bludgeon. Boss Relics were Empty Cage and Choker, also had Necronomicon. Awakened One was my boss (Still played Magnetism though). Only survived due to a lucky panic button off Magnetism happening at least twice right when I needed it, and had a lot of healing relics and boat relics (Anchor, Horn Cleat, Flower, Bird Urn) that really helped out.

Did it on watcher with dual cast, reinforced body, all for one, zap and cold snap. Honestly one of the easier fights against doctor who in act 3 but took me some pain (and fighting muscle memory) to get to there. 4th attempt. Thanks for the tips.

Rampage+, 2x Defend+, Bash+, Shrug It Off+. Last battle also included a Finesse from the Toolbox relic. Awakened One

Still works lol. Just got it on the first try. Didn't find a second claw though so I had to make due with the channel lightning+claw.

Vigilance, Rushdown, Tantrum (Unnecessary, was using Eruption until I got below 5 cards, so swapped it for no real reason...). + Violet Lotus. I went for Watcher, as her starter cards are almost enough for an infinite... First attempt I almost got it, added Rushdown on floor 1, and Inner Peace soon after, sadly was about 20 gold short to remove a card when I got to the last shop... A few tries later I got it, Added Rushdown, then got Violet lotus, so only a single card was needed to be added... However I did get really lucky with events, in addition to remove 2 cards as meow bonus in exchange for Current HP, I somehow managed to get down to 4 cards early act 3, so I picked up a tantrum for a tiny bit faster kills. Followed by removing down to the following three cards when fighting The Awakened One: Vigilance, Rushdown, Tantrum. Had it not been for Violet Lotus I'd have needed an Inner peace, however that would not have generated block. Not that block would have mattered for any boss but Time Eater. Also note that thanks rushdown + tantrum being able to draw cards, I don't need to get down to 5 cards to get the infinite rolling, so I pathed pretty heavily into Elite combats, this is because they give more gold, and removals get very expensive.

I got it my first try with the Watcher! It was actually my first victory at all with the watcher, I usually have trouble managing her forms - not an issue when you're always holding Vigilance and Eruption. Deck was: - Flurry of Blows - Eruption - Vigilance - Ragnarok - Wallop/Sanctity (I lost Wallop to the Fall event, then bought Sanctity at a shop) Flurry-Vigilance-Flurry-Eruption-Flurry-Miracle-Ragnarok won most normal fights turn 1. I managed to get the Runic Pyramid and Niltry's Codex, which made the deck feel much less constrained / repetitive, and the Gremlin Horn, which made it possible to kill the blobs in level 3 on turn one. Super fun, unique way to play.

5 cards with the silent were survivor+, neutralise+, poison stab+, deadly poison+ and catalyst+. Got very lucky with the bosses all being ones who dropped quickly to poison, and having the snecko skull helped quite a bit too

Ironclad, had 2 flash of steel making for an easy infinite, panicked when i saw time eater as act 3 boss. I was able to swap to a second wind and power through combo that gave me enough block to beat time eater

3 pressure points+ for insane damage, vigilance+ and empty body+ to get 22 block for 1 energy. Velvet choker as starting relic and I can do that every turn. Didnt realize I got common sense as well until the steam message popped up.

I got this on my second try with Bludgeon, True Grit, Dropkick, Bash, and Wild Strike. It was hands down the weirdest run I've ever had.

I'm one of those people with 1000+ hours in STS missing only this achievement! My first attempt just died on floor 47 when I was 7 gold short of my last card remove. Deck was Zap+, Dualcast+ (removal target), Thunderstrike+, Ball Lightning+, Equilibrium+, Biased Cog+.

I got it on Watcher with a 2 card stance change combo (Eruption + Inner Peace) using Rushdown to draw back into them. Easiest way IMO. Even had Time Eater as my final boss.

I like how you play much faster than other sts youtubers

I did it with Searing Blow, upgraded many times. Backed by Pommel Strike and five energy by act 3, this card won the run.The bigger challenge was removing the excess cards, but Neow helped with 2 free removals and I got two removal events during the run.

Just got this with Imprevious, Bodyslam, Barricade, Shrug it off, Defend+. was super strong, turn 2 u get to do two bodyslams with 40+ damage, finished the deck quick by the begining of act 3 was already 5 cards ( had remove cards at rest site relic )

I managed to do it with Watcher. My 5 cards was Vigilance+, Eruption+, Protect+, 2x Battle Hymn (only 1 upgraded). Boss relics was Fusion Hammer and Empty Cage. Picked up Dead Branch (which I shouldn't have) and it flooded my draw pile. Luckily I was still managed to pull through and defeated Awakened One

I did my minimalist deck with: barricade+, true grit+, shrug it off+, body slam+, power though+. Just tank everything and hit back hard.

Zap, Dualcast, Darkness x2, Cold Snap - all upgraded with nothing other than the starter relic even interacting with orbs. First boss relic was empty cage, but I skipped the second boss relic. The deck was decent enough output and being able to select which orbs to play in what order and when to evoke, dualcast, or pass them gave enough flexibility to cover most fights. The rest I made up for with pots.

Maaaaan I had almost the same start here, with 2 claws, but never got any reliable source of block like Auto-Shields. That makes this SOOOOO much more difficult. I also came up one shy on removals, but after a couple random card transformations I had 3 Claw, 2 Hologram (which I used to re-draw my Claws and speed up their progression), and 1 Leap (that I got by transformation.) Sooooo close to being doable.

I got minimalist with silent - on low Ascension. It involved getting a piece pipe from neow as a relic reward and then toking constantly, picking up 2 heel hooks in act 1 and going to every campfire. With neutralise I was going infinite by act 2. I got a third heel hook and after image and even managed to beat the heart by just tanking it's hits (wouldn't work on higher Ascension due to 2 damage beat of death and ascenders bane). Time eater would have killed it of course and with no shuriken it took forever to kill anything but it did work. I even managed to upgrade a heel hook by the last bonfire lol.

The most fun way I did (I’ve done this a few times) this was as Defect using Discovery+, Coolheaded+x2, Fission+ and Streamline+. Coolheadeds allow me to redraw the Discovery and whatever is generated, Fission allows me to do this a lot of times on turn 1, Streamline is how I didn’t die in act 1, and Discovery is a very fun card as defect. With it, I can usually generate a recycle, a plasma orb, and a multicast in the first few turns, but can struggle if I don’t get very lucky. Lucky for me, the fission and one of the Coolheadeds were from an Astrolabe, so it was rad. After also getting Empty Cage from act 2, I decided to mess around with some shop items like Medkit and Discovery, as I thought my deck without it died to Time Eater as I didn’t do enough with just a Zap in its place. Against the Time Eater, I just found like four storms and a Thunder strike, and that was good enough to win on exactly one health. Since I am insane, I also decided to fight the heart for some reason. I proceeded to remove the Zap at the end with the rest of my money. Against the act 4 elites, I get kinda chunked but still manage to come out with double digits of health, and wouldn’t you know it, at the 11th hour, I get a Sundial from the elites. Proceed to generate infinite energy and block against the heart, and then somehow manage to get the main Gameplan online by turn 3. With 999 energy and 995 block, I watch a dark orb get evoked around 1000 times and watch the heart withe in pain. I then let it do the honors, and have it kill itself on my Bronze Scales I got from my second elite, Lagavulin. One of the best and most difficult runs I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend. Edit: Also, shoutout to the random artifact potion on like floor 3 helping me not auto-lose to Chosen. If you are doing this challenge and find an artifact potion, I HIGHLY recommend this, as I’ve had similar decks die immediately to Chosen.

Masterfully done as usual Baalorlord. But, obviously for this achievement you have to luckier than usual.

I did it with searing blow armaments combo, energy relic was important, and I actually only had 4 cards because I took necronomicon curse :)

Defect with: Claw+, Glacier+, Sweeping Beam+, Charge Battery+, and Hologram+. Some notable relics were: Toxic Egg, Inserter and Incense Burner. I was really lucky with my transforms (I took Pando's Box and some other transform events) and basically just outblocked Donu and Deca while scaling up Claw. Having only Sweeping Beam and Zap for 2 bosses for damage was terrifying.

Mine was on Watcher with Vigilance, Empty Body, Prostration, and 2 Pressure Points. I had Unceasing Top to help with draws and going in and out of calm for energy. It’s crazy too, because I had so many attempts on Defect that just couldn’t make the cut in Act 3. But then I tried it once on Watcher and got it. I saw PP on floor two and thought “well if I’m gonna have a small deck, this would be a good card to play a bunch”. Turns out it’s actually CRAZY good if it’s the only card you’re playing hahah

I beat the game with 3 cards- Fear No Evil, Eruption, and Rushdown. It’s an infinite loop, but you can’t rely on getting it until later in the run; surviving until that point is the challenge. I had to face the Time Eater that attempt but I still won

Just beat it with watcher despite never actually getting the rushdown I was looking for lol. My final deck was vault, carve reality, fne, eruption, and vigilance (all upgraded of course). I did have some pretty great luck for my relics unlike my deck though. Some notable relics were gremlin horn, nunchaku, ink bottle, lantern (which was huge in getting big setup and damage with the vault round 1), and ornamental fan. I also got an astrolabe after the act 1 boss that gave me a judgement, like water, and carve reality from. The judgement was actually hugely helpful with how well it synergized with gremlin horn, a lot of the group bosses would have been much more difficult if I didn't have those 2 things, and the judgement survived until floor 46.

My winner was 2xleap+ 2xclaw+ and 1xscrape+ I could scale massively quickly and have decent block each turn, so fun ;)

I just got the achievement with double pommel strike and sundial infinit and the extra 2 cards(did a20 so -1 card for ascender's bane) were bash and rampage to spend my extra energy to speed things up

I just tried for my first time after watching this video. I was unable to get under 8, but I had one of my more enjoyable runs with Ironclad, where I actually made Clash work, of all cards! I was unable to get rid of 1 strike and 3 defends, but I had _Thunderclap_ for applying vulnerable for just 1 energy, _Sever Soul_ for getting rid of unwanted cards, _Shrug It Off_ for early card draw and some block(this one was probably redundant), _Dual Wield_ to make more Clashes, and of course _Clash_ . Key relics were _Incense Burner_ which helped out because of my lack of defensive cards and _Medical Kit_ , which allowed me to get rid of status cards when Sever Soul was unavailable. I also had a _Shuriken_ , which with the abundance of Clashes helped me power up quickly.

Oh, and I picked up _Nilry's Codex_ in Act II, so I still had some alternative card options.

I got the Minimalist achievement recently as Ironclad. I had Spot Weakness, Heavy Blade, Twin Strike, Bash, and Defend.

I did 2x Flex Rampage Double tap Shrug it off. Got it first try and it worked great

Searing blow+8 Double tap Whirlwind Armaments+ Bash Got lucky enough to get the Remove 2 Cards boon to start, found the removal shrine, Winged Boots to hit extra shops/fires, got a snecko eye. Got to upgrade my whole hand first turn and keep buffing sear blow while killing most things instantaneously. Searing blow is so much better when you draw it, buff it, and swing with it twice almost every turn!

Im honestly surprised reprogram didn’t make an appearance in this run. Seems gnarly with claw and a 5 card deck

I was able to get down to 2 cards, Finesse and Flash of Steel, luckily I didn’t hit time eater. Also got the “kill the transient” achievement on same run

Finally got it on Ironclad - Ghostly Armor+, Shrug It Off+, Bash+, Rampage+, Warcry

Silent - neutralize, blade dance, finisher, grand finale, and survivor. Managed to get frog merchant dude. Remove a card and upgrade card for 90 gold :D it saved me. got a ghost in the jar that helped out on second boss

Thanks for the tips Baalor! Just got it with Defend+, Zap+, Dualcast+, Glacier+ and Blizzard+. It was the first run that actually made Blizzard work so well for me and it was a ton of fun
