Unlocked my combo after not knowing/using it for 8 years, thanks! It takes patience y’all!

The best video on the subject: short and precise. Much more efficient than trying to do math of the remainders based on erroneous data. And the way of dealing with the third number was perfectly practical :) Helped me open my lock!

Tried a bunch of videos. This is the only one that worked. And the fastest! Cheers. In 2022 btw.

I've been trying to open this lock for about 3 weeks. I've watched all the other videos, writing all kinds of numbers down and all kinds of other nonsense. None of them worked. I had the 1st number correct but with your method of the 2nd number being a wall (other vids suggested that number IS the 2nd number..which was wrong) I was able to find the 2nd one and then started pulling the rest of the numbers like what you did and surprisingly, it opened! thanks for the tip at the end with the possible second numbers - made me feel a lot more confident testing the combo I found, and was something missing from other videos

I watched several videos on this. one guy had a formula that had me input #s in a website. NONE of them worked for me. your video worked best. also very easy to follow. your 2nd step is what worked for me. I even did your third step the same way you did it. cheers bud.

Worked like a charm; thanks a ton! I asked a Lowe's associate to call Master's customer service line and find out the combo, but the lock only has a date code without a serial number, so I was out of luck there. This lock has a thinner shackle that I had to buy for Planet Fitness's lockers, so I didn't want to get rid of it.

Sprocklet44 its called practice... same reason you cant just go be a professional lock smith overnight.. it takes muscle memory and practice

Thanks for describing the technique for opening a Master Lock... I had to try it about 20 times but I got the combination and opened the lock several times afterward. I have had this lock forever and was getting read to discard it when I looked and found your video. Thanks again.

definitely worked after watching so many videos. He had a point I knew my first number was 4 so I went up two (6) and started counting by four for every possible number my second combination number was after I realized it was 30 unlocking it was easy which landed back on 0 - 4,30,0 was my combination lock all this damn time

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE SECOND AND THIRD NUMBERS: Consider the fact that your second number may ACTUALLY be the number you find is your 'wall' as shown in step 2. I shit you not, it took me twenty minutes and my combo ended up being 12-38-12, and 38 is my 'wall' number.

Tysm I was at school someone stole phone out my locker now I got it me and my friend's was search for this for like 50 mins we missed lunch because of this we got 49 mins of lunch lol

you explain it the best, i finally got it. my lock seems wonky though. The last number is 12 but i have to land on it ant go to 14 while holding a little pressure on the shackel. Ive tried changing the other numbers but it still acts strange.

omg I remember stumbling on this fact as a kid and realized that lockers with master locks were not at all secure. needless to say in my (jr) high school I had everything be carry-on because I didn't trust these at all.

Man you want to put this video down before it falls into the wrongs hands... used it to use a discarded lock when I forgot mine at the gym, took me less than 5 minutes to get the combination

I know my last number that is 38 and I know my 2nd number has a 2 in it. But tried and tried my wheel sticks in 3 places

When finding my second number. My lock locked up ON THE second number. I know my combo, I did this for fun. If your lock locks up ON the second number, then how do you figure it out?

Great question, that's tough! If you get tripped up by something like that, you can always resort to the alternate method I explain starting at 1:55

I have the same Master Lock. I have the combination and it works. The first number in the combination is 16. I watched this video and the 30 other videos on KZread that have the same exact same instructions. I've tried various amounts of pressure on the shackle for an hour and have yet to feel resistance when number 11 is lined up. There is no time when there is only one number that gives resistance. I either get no resistance at all or I get resistance from 4 different numbers on the dial. No, I am not turning the dial in the wrong direction. ???

In the video I'm pushing up with my index finger to create the "tension". The harder you push the lock apart, the more tension you should feel. (Hoping that made some sense)

Secure Sir yeah thats what i did. It felt bumpy with max tension in some parts but when i eased up a bit i didnt feel any pressure anymore.

Interesting. You sure the brand is Master? If it is then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you have an old one or just got really unlucky?

If you did the first two numbers right, then it's either 1, 5, 9, 13, 17, 21, 25, 29, or 37. Or just go to 1:37 of the video to see the easy way.

I don't get the how to find the second combination. I know my first combination. I had it wrote it down on a paper when I used this master lock before, but that paper was ripped and I only have the first number, which is 8.

If you already know 8 is the first number, then the second number has to be either 2, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34, or 38. You could try all those out (8 and then each possibility, pulling down on every number for the 3rd number in the combo like I do in the video at 1:45) until you find the right combo.
