Guys if it doesnt work upgrade it twice at different octorocks, it wasnt working for me until i did it

Octorocks only upgrade something once per life so after kill it, then wait till next blood moon and the octorock respawns. The best way to the get the upgrade u want is to save the game give it ur bow and if u don’t get what u want just re load the save.

Also if that particular octorock hasn't given you what you want switch to a different one. From my experience they seem to give different buff. The first one I did only gave me durability and attack up to 5 ish the second one I tried gave me attack 7, speed shot then the 5 shot

Yeah I keep upgrading my bow to different octorock and finally got it to x5. First it was blue durability, then x10 damage, gold durability and finally x5 shot.

The bow in the chest is now the best bow in the game with 32 base damage that's so cool

dude its not the base damage its bc it has x5 multishot so you can do 32x5 so 160 damage

This works. The best way to get the 5 shot roll in about 2 tries is: 1: Visit 1 octo rock and have it buff the weapon 2. Take the buffed weapon to a NEW octorock and save. 3. Have it buff the weapon. 4. Keep reloading from the save of the second octorock.

Have you also noticed a tendency for octorocks to actually degrade the buffs if you continue reload saves. I did it about 10 or so times at one octorock. Each time I got the attack up buff it was one less attack than the previous time I rolled it, despite the fact I was reloading saves so the game shouldn’t have known I was retrying. But it appears they did, it might have a relation to we’re you put the hard save. I was thinking maybe if you don’t get close enough to the octorock for your base save then maybe the game won’t realize your farming octos for the best upgrade

There’s a chest you all will want to get behind all the wooden crates as well.

The ship in the cave also has tingles tights in a chest behind the wooden boxes

Just hard save before opening the chest 😊 then load of you don't want that upgrade.

Might be a good idea to state that this duplication was patched out, and 1.2.0 versions can't do this. :)

Can't thank you enough. Got this bow, went to the spot but I had a blue Lynel. Still smacked him up, got a blood moon soon as he fell, and dropped the 2nd one as well. Got 3 Lynel bows within 30 mins. You the man

watching this because i broke every single one of my bows ( and also broke multiple free gerudo bows ) at the 2nd gibdo invasion. i thought it was wave defense so i was shooting gibdos just standing next to riju for atleast an hour not realizing i had to break their hives

btw you can get the tingle tights in here just below that area where the lands the glider

I remapped the menu button to Y or a shoulder button while duping. Much easier

I should mention, you cannot get 5 headshots with 1 shot, the bow works like it did in botw so only one arrow can get a critical hit.

Wasnt there an argument why 5 shot is actualy worse than fast shot? I like how alot people dont have a clue how some features actualy work work, that they talk about.

@@user-ir8er1bh4q I should mention I think I mixed up the elemental effects with Critical Hit effects.

I got mine with 20 damage and 5 shot burst. in case you only get 3x or quick shot (which what I got first), you can save the game before opening the chest and try again by reloading your save.

@@rhen4short yea i found out that you had to upgrade it once from another octorock, then save and reload until you get 5x burst

But is that ok if I didn't have Royal Guard Bow to do duplication bow ??? I just use 2 other bow with fast click plus button likes you said but didn't happen. v1.1.2

This 5 burst bow is not the best i noticed. I got this same bow with 20 attack and 3burst. Then i went to an octorok at death mountain and i got a 40 33burst with attack up 8. I don't know if this means 48 times 3 wich would mean 144 damage with each shot fired or the 40 times 3 wich is 120 + the 8 attack up (128).. but non the less its better, or am i understanding this totally wrong?

Thanks you are a god....no one mentions this and I do find lynels particularily challenging. And frankly I am nearing the end of the game so I need good bows.

You can save before opening chest and if you don't like the modifier just reload and open it again for a different mod

Just gives the base bow with 20x3. Doesn’t give you any upgrade?

I don’t care what anyone says that x5 bow is amazing especially strapping the eyeballs to heat seek the Gleeocks….or in the floating Colosseum…… bit of a tip in case anyone hasn’t figured it out yet if you already beat the Colosseum once…. and if you have multiple of those all spirits fighting with you…. Plus, you have the majora mask equipped….. you can spend your time with little worry, aiming up a headshot to fight the lynel without them attacking you…. It leaves plenty of room for you to get your aim straight…. Just don’t stand too close to the Lynel when he attacks your partners….. minus the infinite item glitch. This is the most natural fast way to do lots of arrows and Lynel parts

You can also get savage lynel bow from the chest

Ff: if you attach something to your x5 bow, and shoot it at where the map swaps from ground to depths, then whatever you attached will stay and you can actually pick it up. This is a simple way to dupe rubies before the boss fights

Dupe wont work anymore if you patched. But still cool on its own. And i didnt think of the shield thing to get face shots on lionels. Pro tip for attacking lionels while on their back, attacks dont cause weapon degredation. ;)

I just farmed lynels and one dropped. Look up lynel locations on KZread and once you get good at killing the easier ones you can kill the tough ones underground that have better loot.

I havent even beaten the main campagain and i already used armor, fusion, and elixir multipiers to make a 400 damage weapon

Tip, don’t flurry rush the lynels, critical hit them, aka shoot them in the face, and the jump on their back by running up and hitting A and then attack them. Rinse and repeat until dead.

How do you get 32x5 bow? I'm only getting 20x3 or 20x5 at the best. I've also seen 23 attack as well.

3:50 also with attaching something (Beside the eyes) the calculation is not 5x (base+fuse) damage. It`s sadly a bit les, see also here BotW. It`s more complicated as you think. But Yes, you only use 1 arrow and 1 item, in that meaning, you don`t loose anything

Weird.. makes me wonder if maybe it’s 5x bow damage and then one fuse damage? Or are you saying it’s adding between it’s adding nearly 5x the fuse damage like 5x base + 4x fuse damage

Try upgrading it twice, go to 1 octorock an it should give your bow a silver upgrade, then go to a 2nd octorock and it should apply a gold upgrade which is normally the 5 shot.

@@Swaggaccino Yes I think the durability will reset when you use an octorock. Just make sure you save before you do it in case the octorock changes the roll of the bow.

@@SwanyPlaysGames Yeah I think you are right. I’ve been using it for quite a while after the roll. Absolute Lynel melter (white Lynel haven’t faced any higher) and this is just the Mighty not the Savage Bow

I wish the twilight bow shoots light arrows in this game. I like that it’s in the game, but the makers nerfed the bow. It’s not as great as it was from the previous game.

Dont think the upgrading works to get 5 shot anymore after the patch. I did this 20 times on 3 different Octorocks, and all 3 kept giving me attack +4 or durability. Nothing more nothing less. Every single time... EDIT!! I upgraded bow 3 times, on 3 differnt Octos, 4th one I tossed at him, and got the 5 shot burst second time.. So it does still work after patch.

@@Auggievf I’m guessing the method you’re talking about is the one where you buy the house and do it through the weapon displays right?

2:25 like in BotW, SAVE BEFORE let them Shoot one time, look if there are 3 or 5 Arrows, if you wann have a 5X one, if the shoo with only 3, reload -> repeat till they shoot with 5x. That is ONLY if you already have some EP so to say killed enough different enemy's (look up EP or EXP BotW) we don`t know the exact numbers but it is very similar in TotK

got on the second octorock within 3 tries nice

the demon king bow does 60 dmg at max health, the 5 shot 32 dmg bow will do a total of 160 dmg.

For whatever reason the multi-shot bows won't work with the zonai time bombs, which I like to use for mining. It's really annoying

You have to upgrade it once, doesn’t matter what, then go to new one and save. Then upgrade that one until you get 5x!!!! Please don’t make the mistake I made. I spent 1 hour at 6 different Octos but only upgrading it once lol. Big waste of time. Take shitty upgrade to new octo, save, then it’ll only take like 5 more reloads 🤦‍♂️

AS of this comment, I've reloaded 10 times and the best I got was 25 damage with 3 burst. I'm still doing it

The octorock isn't turning it into a 5 burst? Try putting it in one octorock, then taking it to a 2nd one.

if u wanna get 5 shot try and do this, first step use one octorock which u will probs get either durability up or + attack, after that go to another octo rock that hasnt been used and put the bow there and let the octorock suck it in, now you have a chance of the 5 shot

Wow the duplicate still works but the chances of getting x5 bow from octorock is a none they patch that up.
