@@VSN-wb2ly you dont, 99% of fromsoft quests are supposed to be like puzzles that the community has to figure out and then share with others, tho of course you could always try to figure it out yourself, idk why people think getting community help or using the wiki will kill them, it’s designed that way and imo much more interesting than following a quest marker telling me what to do

FYI if you assist Leda and follow her questline you can get 2 talismans. One enhances running attacks and the other enhances dodging and crouch attacks.

It's wild fromsoft went back and nerfed Moonveil AGAIN but hand of rot bitch is still being spammed and they gave us a new ash that's not only got a wide multi hit hitbox but is also a teleporting move. It really feels like they want dealing with cheese ass invaders to be the elden ring multi-player experience on console. Since pc can just download seamless CO-OP they don't have to put up with this cancer. Moonveil hasn't been a threat in months but let's nerf it specifically again and just ignore the ash that has really taken its place as the shitlord invader spam move

Same for me, i wore the lion helmet and it worked. I then took of the helmet, not sure if that matters then rested at the grace, spoke to her agaim and she gave the stew

Other backhand blades can be acquired from the curse blade aesthetics.. the curseblades cirque, which is also the very first enemy introduced upon entering the dlc from the first site of grace. Look ahead and perched atop the archway is an enemy that drops down, you can farm his backhand blade and full armor set

I was real worried because I broke the seal before talking with grandma and hornsent never got his stew but i did all the other dialogue just playing and the summon signs were there so anyone worried it's too late should just try the steps they can and see if the last step works.

I found there’s another backhand blade you can get that you can apply ashes of war to as well and the heavy attack is a projectile. It’s in the forge just southwest of the Moorth Ruins, it looks like a little square on the map. Also the enemy type that you see right after the first grace can drop their weapon as backhand blades as well and they’re pretty nice. They inflict bleed and take somber stones so you can’t adjust them. Just found the first half out by accident an hour ago and looked up the 2nd one😂

Yeah, i really love the backhand blades that you can throw. Very fun to use and they do great damage for my build. Because I don't want to miss out on certain weapons and would like to try everything I can, my build is the following: 60 Vigor 40 Mind 50 Endurance 40 Strength 40 Dexterity 40 Intelligence 40 Faith 20 Arcane This isn't that crazy of a build, and yeah I might not get the most out of certain weapons or spell, but the damage is just fine and it lets me use so many different weapons and spells. I have the Blind Spot ash of war on my Smithscript Cirque (backhand blade with throwing heavy attack) and I have the Cold affinity on it, so it builds up frostbite. The only thing I don't like about the throwing weapons (aside from the spears) is that they have such little range. The daggers don't go very far at all and on their own don't do crazy damage, and these backhand blades don't really go very far either. I do love that the blades curve when you throw them, and the tracking on them is amazing. I mostly use the jumping heavy attack since the blades curve around smaller enemies and will spin around and hit them from behind, great for enemies with shields

@@Egg_Wallace Yea I get that first part cause when I started the game I didn’t know what builds really were so I was trying to go even stats across the board cause I like to be able to to everything. And when I saw them in the trailer I knew I had to have them. As I got later into the game I think it wasn’t until I got to Mohg and he was wrecking me that I figured out I needed to change something so I looked into builds and went for a Dex build with ice and bleed twin blades which basically carried me to the end of the game. I’m in NG+ after finishing the DLC so my build now is Vigor: 47 Mind: 40 Endurance: 40 Strength:35 Dexterity: 75 Intelligence: 35 Faith: 40 Arcane: 40 So not too too far off from yours but yea pretty much the same sentiment, I can use mostly everything I want just some spells and stuff here and there I can’t

By the way you can bypass almost the entire beginning of this questline. No need to talk to the old lady, no need to hand over the soup. I got it after just a couple of interactions and I never even suggested the Hornsent to Leda. I selected “Make no Suggestion” and later she made up her mind to chase after the Hornsent anyways and the summon signs appeared at the shadow keep.

as far as i know you dont have to do any of the grandama stuff you can just do the initial dialogue suggest hornsent then help him in the invasion im not sure tho i did neither to do another quest pattern the run i did this on

You don`t have to kill any boss or talk to grandma, just start ansbach`s quest then talk to hornsent, then offer hornsent to leda and thats all, summoning signs will appear in shadowkeep. after assisting hornsent you will get swift slash

I was wondering how to get this cause I've mostly been playing blind, i did most of this and helping hornsent straight up did not drop it for me and i didn't realize it was supposed to until like days later

Great.. another questline that I missed. Now I've really gotta start another ng+ to progress enough to access the dlc. Wish they would've made it so you can just start the dlc over by itself so players don't have to play through the base game again just for the dlc.

so i wanted to try dex after my strength/arcane meta becoming the white lightning charge with meteoric gs. now my dex meta feels almost the same 😂

I’ve defeated the hippo and progressed the castle up to Messmer but haven’t killed him & I’ve exhausted all dialogue, have I messed up the quest line or is there a way I’m still able to do it since the signs aren’t showing?

I love that i had the quest progression perfect but had already reached messmers room. Before i had every entered i could have gotten it but completey ran right past the summon sign because i thought i was done in that area. How was i supposed to know off to the side there was a summon for an important fight. When i had already reached the 7th floor and already found the coffin.

I’m so bummed that I missed this. It is the most broken PVP thing I’ve seen. I’m so bad at the quests and always miss stuff. One of my all time favorite games but I hate how easy it is to miss things. Def gonna have to get this next time through.

I did most of the questline (except from the scorpion stew bit) up until the summon signs should show up, but they aren’t. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it and is it beachside I also started anschach’s questline?

Honestly you can be pretty far in and you dont have to talk to hornsent in storage just make sure youve had leda choose hornsent and go to the invade signs and you can still get the ash of war

So is it possible for someone to use lost ashes of war, give the weapon to someone else during a trade, have them swap out the ash of war and give it back?

@@ParadiseLordRyu probably, or you can just use a save state right before you drop the weapon with the ash so they’re able to pick it up but you can still load your save and you’ll still have it. If you’re on PlayStation you can do this by uploading and then downloading cloud save data

You can in fact trade ashes of war by applying it to a weapon before you drop it. However make sure you duplicate it or you might lock yourself out of getting that ashe of war until ng+ Also because this ashe of war is backhand blade spacific you might want to farm an extra set of the cirquet ones since there is only one set of the other 2

Can you still do the quest line when you’ve reached the Leda fight before the final boss?

So I found the summon signs in a different locations and chose the golden one to assist hornsent but it gave me his crappy bow instead. Did i miss my chance?

Note to all: All you need to get this Ash of War is to ask Leda to eliminate Hornsent and Assist him in black keep by killing Leda. That's it! Nothing else required. In my play through, I haven't defeated the divine beast or talked to the old lady. I just assisted Hornsent and after the fight was over, I got the Ash of War.

i got the ash of war but i dont see it in my inventory. is that a thing??

For some reason I couldnt get this ash of war (2nd time going through DLC). Talked to Leda. But keeps repeating "I will mull over it". Waiting didnt help. So I missed it again and now I have to the game again... ffs

So I followed all the steps except giving hornsent the scorpion stew and I still got the ash. I did go back and get the stew but he was already in the shadow keep so I just went ahead and helped him fight leda

What armor is that

Any way to do that once i have started fighting the main boss? :/

I didn't even suggest him to her. It looks like all it does by suggesting him is give you the option to assist her. Otherwise, just progress normally and get to that area and you can assist him in defeating her and you still get it. I didn't do any of the other stuff besides exhaust each of the characters dialogues that linger around the sites of grace.

I hate how you have to do multiple play throughs to get all the stuff you want for a build. When I do do new play throughs I want to do new builds, but to get all the cool dex stuff I have to get both Leda and Horns rewards. Same thing with Bayle, both are arcane spells and I have to play through the whole game again to get both. Arcane already has so little variety going for it, they should’ve just made it a remembrance.

I can't wait to ng+ again to do 6 quests i missed by playing the game and then another ng+ to do the other 9 quests locked out by the previous 6 Man im just sick of getting shredded by this AoW during invasions :(
