Really… Thank you! I was hoping they weren’t too long. I try to avoid any “unnecessary” talking. 😂

They are slugs. They're nocturnal so you won't see many in daylight. I live in pa and am loaded with them. I use sluggo and beer and it works great. I cut a solo cup in half and bury it in the mulch and I have to empty them daily. Good luck!

Hi Karen! Slugs not snails, thank you! That makes sense that I don’t see them in the day. I’m in PA as well. Thanks for the tips!
Hi. Snails are in my one garden. Will have to try the beer. Yuengling beer is made in my hometown. Dad and brothers worked there. 🍺

Alice, that is awesome to hear! Thanks for watching!
It's possible that leaving the foliage harbors insects and protects them during winter ...I think you should cut the water bottle so they are shorter....it might help you catch more. Are they leaving slime trails?

“Slime trail”, Hahhaha. No I didn’t see any. Definitely will be cutting back the foliage in Fall as I normally do.
That one on the red pot was a slug not a snail. Right? The ones w/o a shell are slugs....girl they came from nowhere.😮😢... But I have my threats, too...the Japanese beetle and the holes they make on Hardy Hibiscus and ROSES!!!!!😱

Oh no!!! I love Hardy Hibiscus! Which ones do you have?🌺🌺🌺
So all i have heard... is that you spread around at the base of the plants [the ones they really like] SLUGO which is a bait. I'm surprised you really haven't had a bigger problem because Danielle at Northlawn flower farm [yt channel] had huge issues with them on Dahlias and Hostas and she's talked about it at length. She's in PA also. Prayers that a salty rainstorm comes and sizzles them away. Chin up. 😘

I really think it’s because I left the Hostas foliage on which I never do. I guess I don’t have a “huge” problem then.
I was noticing slugs in my garden too. I heard put the bee out just as its gettink dusk.

Try it! You will definitely get some slugs. I did the traps late before it got dark. Make sure to check them first thing in the morning. Let me know how it goes.🥰
SLUGS.
