How to get rid of Hyperpigmentation, Dark Spots and Melasma

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

To reduce Hyperpigmentation, Dark Spots and Melasma you need a well rounded anti-pigmentation skincare regimen that incorporates skin lightening agents with the proper balance of skin regeneration, hydration, exfoliation, prepping, and protecting. Together these factors synergistically aid in removing hyperpigmentation and maintaining lasting results. CAUTION!!!!! Skin is so individualized and what right for one person may not be right for the next so I’ve listed several top-notch products for you here but you only need one product from each category. Below find all the recommendations made throughout the video to help you get rid of unwanted dark marks or brown patches.

Lifestyle Changes:
Drastically Decrease Soy in diet sorry to my soy latter lovers. Soy has an estrogenic component in it and can turn on the alpha MSH pathway.
Choose an anti-inflammatory diet (minimize soy/nuts/corn/etc) rich in antioxidants
Hair Grooming- Keep Hair Dryer away from your skin as heat activates melanocytes
Facial hair- step away from the tweezers and stop picking
No Smoking of any kind/ No Vaping- nicotine will deposit more pigment in the skin.
Hot Yoga, Sauna, Try and cool off the car before entering if it's hot out
Compliance is key because correction can take anywhere from 1 month to 3+ months. Depending on the individual.

Wow. I’m going to have to rewatch this and take notes. I had no idea moisturisers were THAT important in terms of penetration enhancing. I thought actives came from everything else, and all a moisturiser had to do was to ‘seal’ things in. I just wish the audio wasn’t bad, and that you didn’t talk as fast. But MIND BLOWN 🤓

@@diabloazula7643 I like Dr. Vanita too but she did not specialize in Dermatology in medical school and is not a dermatologist. She is just a regular MD....not sure if she specialized in anything or not. I think may to be a General Practitioner. After med school she become a chemical formulator of skin products. Dr. Alexis on the other hand was a chemical formulator first, and then went to medical school specifically for Dermatology. So, from a medical perspective and dermatological standpoint, I think I give Dr. Alexis one or maybe even two up on Dr. Vanita. But, I do appreciate Dr. Vanita as well for sure. And I absolutely enjoyed the video they did together.

I was already subscribed to you, but today I did a search for hyperpigmentation, hyperpigmentation doctor, and hyperpigmentation dermatologist. You didn't come up anywhere. I'm thankful you popped up somewhere for me in the past, but I really hope you optimize your videos to start ranking higher in the search engine. I know your oldest video is a year old and everything else is relatively new, but it's not hard. Hyperpigmentation is one of your specialties. Keywords and hashtags will be your friend. Good luck. There’s so much misinformation out there but I feel like I can trust you! First step is throwing out my Cerave moisturizing Cream because it has saturated fat as the 4th ingredient (MCT oil/coconut oil/caprylic,capric triglyceride) ! Everytime I put it on I felt like it made my skin tone look MORE uneven. I’m glad to know it wasn’t in my head.

Hi dr. Thank you so much for this information! We needed this. I’d like to suggest a little more organization in your future videos. The content was great but it was not clear a lot of the times because it felt a little all over the place and rushed. Also a lot of the images, changed too fast and a lot of them had a lot of information. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

I had to change my dermatologist because I just didn’t feel she was understanding my skin type. Even with my own research I have appreciated a few KZread influencers honesty on skin care and hyperpigmentation. Thank you again❤️❤️❤️I have definitely subscribed to your channel and look forward to more contents🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️

As you highlighted, the Very DETAILED info was given to us for FREE..She didn't OWE this to us. She gave it for FREE. No one contributed to her speaker/microphone detail. She gave us her knowledge and time for FREE.. Anyone not appreciative of that needs to accept the fact that they are selfish. And some selfish people they don't appreciate selfless acts from others because they can't understand it. They're possibly unaware of who they are. They're NARCISSISTIC!!

Would be nice to have a video on how to incorporate Vit c, azelaic acid, arbutin and Niacinamide in a routine to get the max result without cancelling each other.

  • @krystinemarie4935

Hi. I've learned that Niacinamide and Vit C definitely cancels each other out so Niacinamide usually is a day serum while Vit C can be used at night. Vit c has also been recommended to be effective with alpha arbutin so put those 2 in your night routine. For the day, niacinamide pairs well with the azelaic acid. You can actually go on to The Ordinary's website (even if you do not use their products) and utilize the live chat on the order which you can use products and how they pair with each other. Hope this helps :)

This video was so comprehensive. As a science geek, I loved the flowcharts and analogy to people in the car. I understand people with deeper skin color have a bigger issue with hyperpigmentation. Can those of us developing sunspots as we age follow the same advice in the video, or is there a different regimen to follow? I assume retinoids are part of the answer.
