I like how you explain this. Other MTB riders get to technical and their skills are so advance so they make it look easy BUT I can relate with what you’re doing and skill level. Liked and subscribed…

This is probably the best explanation I have ever seen of how to get over logs. Great job.

Great explanation on this! Just getting into trail riding and sick of walking over "that log" every time. Made it over with my new Scott Scale- but can't explain how. Now I'm all set!

Excellent vid. This popped up on my feed and although I already know the technique (been using it since 1990 lol) I always watch vids to see what extra little tricks I might not be aware of and might be able to pick up. Your vid does a great job of explaining the technique-Simple and concise- and I think anyone struggling with logs needs to watch this. I have to admit tho- at 48 my biggest struggle now with logs is always have the energy to perform the technique!!! Fatigue is real now- sometimes I just look at a log and am like- nah- too tired. Lol. Ride on man! 🤘🤙

Great video, the process was entertaining and the break down was understandable, feel like you could have went a bit more into the body movement. I ride in an area with a lot of stone benches constantly dropping down and trying to get up, they are often >2 feet and pure granite so often can get my wheel up onto them but don't always have the ability to clear with my back wheel and grind the chain ring or catch a pedal on the edge.

Probably work better on a hardtail. You get better returns on your preload without suspension. Bunny hop a bmx bike and then try it with a downhill bike.

Or you could have just lifted one end of the log, put a board in, walked to the other side, lifted and put a board in there... and you only had to lift the log 1.5" rather than trying to roll it up 10". q8)

I “believe” it’s all the same fundamentals. Granted I’m learning as well. You preload the same it’s just have that extra spring so you must try harder, faster, better.
