I came to the same conclusion about the increased difficulty of getting netherite. We’ve been rewatching The Mandalorian and the difficulty in getting beskar armor seemed like the way… I’m all for armor quests especially when the reward is worth the effort.

Especially considering Diamond armor functions VERY well, no one NEEDS netherite... they just want it :p

I do appreciate that you have to do more to get upgrade template, I’ve never raided a bastion until this update and it was a lot of fun!!

I use a silk touch pick for mining to save inventory space so I can mine longer. Fortune multiplies the items a lot.

You can just keep a crafting table on you and combine the items, it saves more space than having the raw blocks, and time from having to place them and mine them a 2nd time.

I love the clip where you leapt into lava after being bullied by a Brute. I remember it well. 😂

Hay @prowl To get the golems to fall slower you can add a layer of spider webs right at the drop point.

Love the look of the foundry pit. I vote keep the nether wood, but it needs some Prowl safety rails for when you catch on fire and panic. I think you could put some cobwebs at the top without causing problems to slow their drop.

It's a bit of a pain in the butt, but you feel accomplished when you finish!

I think that the little fires are cool, considering the Terminator foundry theme. In those 80s movies it seems like there were always random fires in scenes like the one from the movie, often in places that were just convenient for the shot and would have no reason to exist in regard to physics, so the random fires popping up from the stripped Warped logs seems to me to fit the homage.

That second step of the diamond mining technique is probably less efficient. You can probably mine through 2-3 additional chunks in the time it takes you to go back and poke hole mine a chunk you already went through.

Netherite was already too hard for me. 😂 Thanks for great info as always!

I also like that they made it a bit harder to get and a little longer, maybe a bit of a protection increase too just to make it worth it.

Upwards of 4? There is supposed to be a max of 3 in a chunk. So you should only be able to find 4+ if you are on a chunk border. In the same group, they can be a block away from each other so you need to take out all blocks around it to know if you missed another one in the bunch.

You videos are awesome - your item sorter - if you like to light up the space you can use glowstone in place of glass. Glowstone is treated like glass. shroom lights are treated as regular blocks they get powered by Redstone I still like amulet editor but since last update I can't download the new update because it's a virus now My anti-virus utility stops the download

Tip for magma cubes… break the spawner from the blocks it hangs from. Problem solved.

I always has blocks on my hot bar so I quickly can pillar up or block off as “flee with extra flee” often are worse then keeping calm and taking a stand. I rather die where there’s no lava so I can retrieve my gear then to swim in lava, i.e. I haven’t already used a potion of fire resistant.

you answered "why is -54 best for diamonds" but is 11 really the best for ancient debris? i've always heard/seen that 14/15 was the best level. maybe it changed in 1.20? i have noticed patches of ancient debris in the floor rather than the walls/ceiling in recent AD mining trips 🤔

I think like 20 librarians, 20 smithing professions (to trade iron with), then the rest are just your preference, I have a bit of everything. 80 total villagers.

Honestly, thumbs up just for your "controversial opinion" regarding the difficulty of getting netherite gear...i think it's a massive improvement to a mechanic that felt kind of tedious and low risk, making the "struggle" feel less meaningful.

Not happy with the change. On servers it becomes impossible to get netherite armor, unless you are one of the in crowd.
